Judges nullify clause in Criminal Procedure Law    Aviad Glickman
1. too bad
Too bad these judges did not make the decision when Menny Mazuz used this law to persecute protesters against the Sharon and Olmert regime. It gives the uncomfortable feeling that the court did not want to protect the rights of Jews.

2. Interesting
In most 'democracies', one of the premier rights is the right to be present at heaings which directly affect your liberty. By this ruling, Israel's courts seem to be holding that such a fundamental right is to be enforced even within Israel. The only curious aspect is the concurrence of one justice asking for a six-month delay in enforcement. If the right is so fundamental, why advocate delay at all?
