31. to #30 let put your point of view in term that you
ghostq   (02.16.10)
will understand what you said is as if we will ask if Arabs would like to be Arabs or Muslims, cause not all Arabs r Muslims, so can you choose between being an Arab or A Muslim, it's on or the other. according to your logic.
32. Sorry Mohammed #29 but the thesis of
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (02.16.10)
ontogeny replicating phylogeny, which is essentially what you are proposing, has been scientifically discredited for a long time. If only we (human beings) functioned as simply and cleanly as you put forward but it's just not the case. I know you have put yourself forward in various posts as a rational and thinking individual but you do need to do some up-to-date research on this subject as your thesis exposes your lack of understanding of the evolution of the brain and its relationship to cognition (intellect)and affect (emotions). Furthermore, your socio-psychological statement regarding people who dwell in the region of the mideast, at least with respect to Palestinian Arabs and Israelis, is, again, an oversimplification. If you wish to be recognized as the intellectual which you seem to think you are, then you would do well to research your subject and put the educated weight of your findings behind your sharp conclusions. If you wish to argue the matter, I can give you excellent scholarly references. Incidentally, I do find you to be quite arrogant in your approach, at least recently. Perhaps a little humility would be in order.
33. For 'Robert Haymond'
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (02.16.10)
The inane drivel dressed up as your pseudo-intellectualism is disgusting. Dresden was a crime. Terrorizing a civilian population by intentionally killing civilians is indefensible, no matter who commits such a monstrosity. And apologists for such acts are reprehensible. Goldstone wrote a report akin to a grand jury report. He found credible evidence that war crimes were committed. And he requested further investigation of such crimes, a request that has been ignored by Israel which does not wish to investigate. Why doesn't Israel wish to have a full and fair investigation into such allegations? Because they would rather believe the myths propogated by your ilk that the deliberate targeting of civiilians was somehow 'necessary'. By the way, before burning Arlanta, Sherman emptied the town of all civilians. The burning was probably not strategically necessary but the preservation of civilian life was upheld. He did not, unlike Israel, deliberately target civilians for massive death. As to the 'wall', Israel's approved boundaries, by the UN did not include much of what Israel expanded to become. After '48 and the formation of the Green Line, Israel was allowed by the international community to keep the lands won up to the Green Line. The wall encroaches upon territory which is denoted in Security Resolution 242 as 'disputed'. Yet, Israel was not a party to the 'dispute'. But Israel continues to expand its territory in disregard of both UN resolutions and the Geneva Conventions. The 'wall' is not in place for security reasons. It is in place to expand Israeli control and annexation of property. Otherwise, it would have been built on the Green Line. Those are the facts and no amount of hasbara or PR will change them.
34. Genuine Tosefta #5 what are you smoking?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (02.16.10)
'Considering Goldstone is after all a Zionist-Jew ' You don't know the meaning of Zionist. He is not one in any shape or form. 'with an impressive judicial record' To whom? His judicial record is very short and poor. He only went against apartheid when he saw that it was ending. 'Mr. Goldstone was highly, highly critical of Hamas and everyone else who contributed to the terrible situation in the Gaza ' What a joke, Hamas refutes your statement. ' it is especially nasty and dishonest to describe as quote, "an enemy of the Jewish people" - ' Accurate description. ' a good and decent man who was trying his best to carrying out both ethically and factually' Bullshit. Morally dishonest and corrupt. He totally disregarded international laws and his report has been proven to be nothing more the anti-Semitic propaganda. Every single member of his team would have been disqualified in any other setting, including Goldblather himself.
35. Ron, Will you produce responses to Goldstone each and every

time you eate dry haricot beans? Goldstone issue is left in quite long past
36. Mikesailor #33 typical BS
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (02.16.10)
'Dresden was a crime.' Dresden was a military target in every sense of the word. The 2nd largest railyards in the country. Half of the German Army's vehicles were produced in Dreseden. Two full German divisions that were transiting the rail center were totally destroyed. In short if that is you knowledge - you need an education. Israel did not and has NEVER committed a war-crime. All you lack is facts and knowledge to support your claims. UNSC 242 does not address Judea, Samaria, or Gaza period. Why not - that is simple they have no authority. The UN lost that authority in 1949 when Israel became a member state of the UN and the mandate not only was ended but could never be revived. That is international law. We own all land west of the Jordan, that too is international law. The only illegal occupation is by the Arabs who have no legal claims at all. No amount of you moronic comments will change the fact.
37. my boys
stargazer ,   Israel   (02.16.10)
Both of my boys served in the IDF as did the majority of their friends and our friend's kids. I base my 'facts' on what these kids say. During basic training they were ALL literally brainwashed with the saying 'Israel does not target civilians'. Anyone who is familar at all with armies will know that they make alot of mistakes (just look at how many soldiers have died from friendly fire). Things can get awfully messed up during manuevers and daily arm life. I can only imagine what can happen during fighting. Another tense situation is when any army comes into close contact with civilians. And so the sometimes rough treatment that PALs might experience at a roadblock. The IDF is the most restrained army in the world, led by the most restrained goverment in the world. I wonder what any other country would to do when their citizens are attacked by rockets. And how long it would take them to answer those attacks and in what fashion?

Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (02.16.10)
confines of Miami, Florida, you don't seem to comprehend the devastating impact of suicide bombings on the Israeli populace and the effect of the "wall" in its prevention. This is perhaps due to your comfort level, smugness and inability to understand more than one narrow perspective. As to the bombing of Dresden, you can be as morally righteous as you like but the fact is that your parent's and/or grandparent's made it possible for you live in the security which you now enjoy while sailing in the Atlantic. Perhaps a little less arrogance on your part and a more open mind would benefit you.
39. to 29 mohammad
nora   (02.16.10)
crimes in gaza is not from brain it is from white phosphorus and bombs and planes without a driver ..give it to hamass and see lolololo ... or wait untill iran have the small one ...it is not the brain darling
40. "answer all your concerns", "hameed"?
Cameron ,   USA   (02.16.10)
Calm down, son. Save the Zionist, over-kill defensiveness for another day. I was no more endorsing the Goldstone Report than I was that "most moral army" bit. I find them both a rather exaggerated tub of ......... A great deal of Israeli hyperventilating on this particular YNET posting. Most interesting.
41. To #39 nora
Mohammad ,   Jordan   (02.17.10)
yea, i can imagine if Hamas or Iran possess this kind of weapons we will all be in real trouble lol When i mentioned the brain, i was talking about the lower (primitive) brain, not the sophisticated one. Thanks for your reply and for always being nice and supportive.
42. # 40
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.17.10)
nice way of wiggling out of it Cameron.Hameed is so right. Now dont forget to bash me !!
43. # 37
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.17.10)
I dont give a flying fig what others say about our boys in the IDF. My sons were also soldiers & I also know from them that the IDF dont target civilians. I also would like to see how other countries would react to 8 years of rockets bombarding their civilians.
44. # 36
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.17.10)
The wall is there to prevent suicide bombers from entering Israel. Accept this or not, its a fact.Your twisted opinion sucks.
45. # 10
Birdi ,   Israel   (02.17.10)
Good post Clint. Thanks.
46. to 41 mohammad
nora   (02.17.10)
it is not sophisticated as ..... you can not be always nice and supportive ... i think nice to tell the truth even you do not support one side it is like goldstone report
47. Ah, should I bash on you, Birdi?
Cameron ,   USA   (02.17.10)
Better be nice, or I'll stand on a hill outside of Jerusalem, and claim it for my own folk forever. Keep pounding on those Zionist drums, but keeping one eye peeled for those Palestinians creeping up on you, Birdi.
48. Israel couldn't pu siege on Gaza because it has a border wit
Bat Zion ,   centre, Israel   (02.19.10)
Egypt, which Israel doesn't control. The people of Gaza, who died during operation "Cast Lead" did not die of starvation, thirst or lack of fuel. The died because they were the human shields of Hamas militants (so were the animals in the Gaza zoo, BTW). On the issue of settlements, you are wrong again. Israel has left the Gaza Strip in 2005, leaving the Palestinians to live their lives.
49. #36Gee,"NEVER committed a war-crime"
Ken ,   Switzerland   (03.11.10)
Is using a child to open bags that they thought contained booby-trapped bombs a war crime in Israel? It is here. " All you lack is facts and knowledge to support your claims." Check your Ynet news.
