You analysis style is so empty and weak and I was sursporised that it was published....
33. Quite right, Eitan Haber
Cameron ,   USA   (02.18.10)
Mossad operatives did a good & needful thing by putting the bite on that bad piece of work.
34. Not a screw -up ?!! yeah right..
Sami ,   Lebanon   (02.18.10)
To get unarmed, unprotected man, 17 (and could be more )agents were screwed up and technically screened up as alive-dead personalities for the rest of their life, and will be hunted all over places and this is still not a screw up for Haber? Yeah, convincing Mobhooh is dead this is the most important ,probably another Hamas member have already took his place ,this is part of job security buddy.
35. thr REAL news here is...
moishe ,   usa   (02.18.10)
That Dubai is a haven for terrorists and murderers as long as the victims are Jews

mr. sami, you write: " Not a screw -up ?!! yeah right... To get unarmed, unprotected man, 17 (and could be more )agents were screwed up and technically screened up as alive-dead personalities for the rest of their life, and will be hunted all over places and this is still not a screw up for Haber?" the more i think about it, the more i am convinced that you are totally right - this hit has all the marks of a fatah operation, which is probably why two of their operatives were arrested in jordan for their part in it. (before hamas floated the mossad story in the british tabloids.) thanks for the clarification! ps. has nasrallah finished celebrating his glorious victory, and crawled out of his bunker yet? obviously, not all arab terrorists are in such a great hurry to be replaced...

38. Why use name of real Israelis?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.19.10)
Whether the execution was justified or not - and it was imo - the use of real Israeli's names was not justified under any circumstances.
39. Who's that knocking on your hotel room door?
Mea   (02.19.10)
So a puke got taken out? Big deal. Grow up if you do not like it. Watch animated film about fairies and whales and skip the real news. What possible difference could it make that an operation such as this succeeded? They didn't assassinate the Dahli Lama, they killed a worthless piece of human garbage. Do you really believe the US, UK, France, Germany, etc do not and have not quietly killed lots of people? This guy needed killing. And he was overdue. So now he's up there trying to understand how they got the words 'virgin' and 'Virginia' mixed up. He can spend an eternity getting his butt licked by flames alongside Mugniyeh. Enjoy!
40. Remember - the world admonished us for Osirik
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
and 11 short years later, the West was profusely thanking us after realizing what US troops would have encountered going into Iraq, otherwise. I'm not saying it was Mossad, because the operation seems to be a frame up, but the point made in the article is this - a major terrorist is dead. The West would like nothing more than to see it happen to several other terror leaders, including the founder of Amal who is on the run. The people who are really stoking the fire of anger is Hamas and Iran because they lost a major conduit for their war crime activities, and this on the eve of a major anti-smuggling wall on the Egyptian border. The plan is coming together nicely. Don't be surprised if the heat is turned up on Egypt to block the wall.
41. #6 - then you really don't know who Mabhouh was
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
He was a major heavy hitter, not easily replaced. No matter who got him, a major blow was made to proxy terrorist organizations funded by Iran, specifically Hamas. Not ever hit wil result in a call for peace and sunshine from Arabs. But consider the cost of ignoring these radical terrorists. Tel Aviv would be a blood bath, and you know it.
42. #7 - How do you know UAE was complicit?
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
How do you know? How do you know that Mabhou was just some average terrorist that did nothing for 20 years after the brutal murders? He was an arms dealer working to keep Hamas afloat and acquiring large weapons to hit Tel Aviv. Seems like the crimes from him keep on coming. Maybe UAE was in on it and is working to keep their image strong in the eyes of Arabs. Maybe it was a message that Dubai is not safe for illegal crime lords anymore. Pakistan very much does NOT promote those targeted killings, and says as much even after major targets are hit. They decry all the time the violation of their sovereignty by the US, or haven't you been listening?? And all this on the back of accusations against Israel based on conjecture...no proof whatsoever.
43. #12 - Only the Mossad can get passports?
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
Are you nuts?? This is Europe. They have passports stolen all the time. The EU now is centralized and things like passports are shared between all countries. All you need in a few people on the inside and a strong will to frame someone. In the end, it's a deep, but quick database query, with information transferred into a stolen passport. Only the Mossad? Try Industrial criminals, Russian mafia, intl drug dealers, disenfranchised minorities, Chinese criminals (who incidentally have been known to hack networks all over the world. You see, you're just as dumb as the rest of the people who insist it was Israel. You can't seem to extrapolate beyond your little "box" of thought. Making accusations based on no evidence is not dignified at all.
44. #22 - But do we really need the weak nations?
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
They don't vote for us in the UN, they don't stand up for us despite our assistance to them when natural disasters hit. The Western nations violate the sovereignty of weak nations all the time. The nations still beg for their friendship, and unlike Israel, Arabs offer money and oil. We can offer a free trip to heaven and never be accepted. So why press the point? Israel will get it's friends back once the Arabs run out of oil.
45. #28 - The difference between Israel and Hamas
William ,   Israel   (02.19.10)
"what's the difference between the way you think and the morons in Hamas?" Israel (if this was them) goes after the terrorist, the person who committed the crime, and who would kill again given the opportunity. Nobody else. Hamas goes after civilians. Killing innocent people. What do you think will be in those rockets heading to Tel Aviv that Mabhouh was trying to acquire....bubblegum and flowers??? We target criminals, they target innocent civilians. THAT'S the difference. How the terrorist meets his end is unimportant (except to people like you who give more rights to criminals than victims), the important point is they meet their end.
46. No. 7 "Why now?" you ask
Shaul R ,   USA/Australia   (02.19.10)
Well, in addition to the 20-year old murders, Mabhouh was also the main pointman in acquisition of weapons from Iran, including short and medium range missiles, and smuggling them into Hamas-held Gaza. If you follow the news re: Iran and Hamas at all, the answer to the question "why now?" should be obvious.

Sami ,   Lebanon   (02.19.10)
The two arrested Fatah members are Mossad agent and this is well known .It is not a secret that Mossad has many agents among Palestinian fractions themselves . Palestinian are forced to cooperate with Mossad either because they were cornered and black mailed for family safety “chantage “or are desperately looking to make living and feed their kids or to fight other fractionsin between each other for ruling power war .This is a reality and we have to admit it. I said 17 and more because this story hasn’t finished yet and more development are coming probably that will reveal the involvement of some other Arabs agents from the so called “Arab moderate or better to call mediocrate regime “ . The amazing about Nasrallah ,although I am not a fun of him ,is making your knee shaking even from his bunker. You ,and probably most of the Israeli citizen believe what is Nasrallah says more than own cabinet Ministers ,especially this clown Lieberman. The time when Israel use to come to Lebanon for promenade and Israeli feel coming for war /action vacation in Lebanon ,is gone for good. Cheer. :)
48. Sami
Cameron ,   USA   (02.19.10)
Ah, how soon they forget. The Israelis always find time to lay special gifts upon Lebanon when required, Sami Be interesting, yet again, to watch them hammer S. Lebanon into dust when Nas eventually overplays his hand at some point in the future.
49. #47 Sami, Lebanon
Anna ,   Canada   (02.19.10)
Reading your talk back, it’s easy to conclude how insecure and vulnerable you feel. Just think about 17 or even more Mossad agents could come into Dubai, pass all the security, use without any concern their fake passports to register into the Hotel. Then all 17 or even more commit their murderous act, leave the hotel, pass all the security at the Airport, and leave Dubai on the different flights to the different countries. You wrote:” The amazing about Nasrallah ,although I am not a fun of him ,is making your knee shaking even from his bunker.” -Why is he in the bunker, sir? You wrote: ” Palestinian are forced to cooperate with Mossad either because they were cornered and black mailed for family safety “chantage “or are desperately looking to make living and feed their kids or to fight other fractionsin between each other for ruling power war . -Thank you for admitting that Arabs are fighting each other, and they don’t hesitate to lie, to kill, to black mail, to betray….What else? There are many people in Israel who wish Mr. Lieberman the same as you. But there are many more who sees in him great potential. Mr. Lieberman, as you called him:” the clown” expresses what most Israelis are thinking. I would call him “the voice of the Israeli consciousness”.. While Israel is calling for peace, Nasrallah, Assad, Hamas, and Iran are threatening with her distraction. Mean while Dubai showed the impressive technology and complete incompetence in using it. It is almost a month from the day of the assassination. And no one can conform 100% it was Mossad. But who ever did it- did it brilliantly.
50. The Brits did it!
Bob   (02.19.10)
Considering that only passports with real names and numbers were the British ones, I believe MI6, probably in collusion with the Palestinian Authority and the Syrians, is behind it. The British obviously knew whereabouts of their own (double) citizens and decided to abuse identities of those residing in Israel, in order to make Mossad look responsible. But could Mossad have prevented al-Mabhouh's bodyguards from boarding the plane in Damascus? On the other hand, if Mossad is capable of forging passports, why would it forge them on names of Jews residing in Israel? It could have taken the name of any foreigner---in case he ever visited Israel, that would be even trivial, since he would have presented his passport at entry. But British authorities have lost so many private data in recent years that it should be possible to do it even for Brits who never left the country.
51. Screw up?No
Samson ,   Lagos, Nigeria   (02.19.10)
If the mossad did this job,i'm sure they thought well about it and were prepared to manage the noise that comes after it but if its another group well godluck to you.Either way,the job was done and Mabhouh an enemy of the jews is gone and gone forever
52. #28, subtle difference

54. Dubai has NO retina scan of suspects
Brett ,   New York   (02.19.10)
To #24: Dubai has no retina scan of suspects. It is saying it has,to frighten Israel and to show it has a sophisticated police. Dubai, prove you have retina scan!!

Too bad you confuse determination with arrogance, but you also confuse what plant you inhabit with Earth. The Israel's Demise Club that you seem to be a member of has many frustrated members. Good luck with that.
56. #22
Hal ,   Usa   (02.19.10)
The message it sends is for who it was intended. That message is, no matter who you are no matter where you are no matter how long it takes, you will be crushed like a bug. It has been said that it is better to be feared than loved. In the neighborhood that Israel lives in it is healthier to be feared. For some time now the fear has subsided with the false interpretations of the 2006 Lebanon and 2008 Gaza actions. Many posters on this and other sites extol the victories of Hezbollah and Hamas over Israel. Meanwhile Israel did what it had to do lay down a gauntlet to these crimminals that if you do this you will get that. It worked! Nasrallah is still hiding and Hamas just got another message that it can run but it can't hide. Israel sends a message to any govt that allows it's land to be used by these crimminals, that sovreinty has limitations.
57. Hubris...
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (02.19.10)
has brought down all the greatest men and states. Hubris that does not recognize times have changed, hubris that does not recognize the fragility of ones own mortality, hubris that does not recognize ones own friend's turning to enemies, hubris that does not see the folly of one's behavior. This hubris is Israel's greatest strategic threat; too bad the Mossad have no way of liquidating it.
