Mossad agents are traveling on forged passports but then Mossad informs British intelligence they are coming where is the logic? There was no need to tip of MI6 the only thing that achieved is creating a diplomatic incident. The logical thing would have been carry out the hit, let MI6 suspect whatever they want but if it all goes well these guys will be on the first plane home using new passports. If something went wrong there would be a scandal which would mean some bad press for Israel and strained diplomatic relations with England for a while until things blow over. If there is any truth in this story what is shows is that Mossad needs to start acting like a SECRET intelligence service not one that tells foreign intelligence services that its agents will be traveling in their country on forged passports.

From the language being used, it sounds like the UK is posturing in order to deflect any Arab blow-back. It sounds more like they are willing to make Israel their official scapegoat by telling a story that shows they were victims too. The report by UK newspapers - which are massively anti-Israel in the first place - stated the UAE kingdom is already convinced that it was a Mossad hit despite the Dubai Police chief stating he was not absolutely sure. Not the first time British papers have spread mis-information to vilify others, especially Jews...and it goes back decades.
