Trying to work within UN is totally pointless. The sole mission of the UN is to bash Israel. Israel's playing along only legitimizes the farce and encourages the UN and Arabs to laud the terrorists while taunting and demeaning Israel's humanitarian efforts. In the meantime, Iran has thumbed its nose at the UN and gets away with nuclear enrichment toward weapons grade, development of long range missiles to deliver the nuclear weapons, terrorist expansion by conquering Lebanon, and clear and unequivocably threatening the existence of Israel. We should state that since our efforts of avoiding civilian casualties has cost us an unacceptable number of casualties, and the responsibility lies squarely on the Terrorists who launched 10,000 rockets at us, future terrorist actions will result in execution and the forcible expulsion of those responsible along with their extended families/Hamulot. If we are damned no matter what we do, then lets really piss them off and do it right and fully to show them that their actions are just as counter-productive as the terrorists who caused their own strangulation with the Intifada terror that they started. Our existence, our country, our land, our people are not negotiable. We saw how the countries of the world defended us during the Holocaust when it was a hidden agenda. Now that the same agenda is advocated publicly by HAMAS Charter and Iran, we must respond in kind and let all know that if we are attacked, we will respond with an existential threat. In the case of Gaza, as they extend the range of their rockets, we will extend the range of the buffer zones we require for our safety by permanently clearing land of places to shoot from (ie building, structures, and trees) until their are no buildings or people left in Gaza. Iran has mastered the art of Disregard the UN and thumbing their noses, it is time we learn from them.

The same thing happened before and during the Holocaust. The nations did not want to do anything to help the Jews. Thus they did nothing to help Europe's Jews. people really should take the trouble to read the Goldstone Report; it is one of the best scripts since 'Friends' was on TV. I read it fully expecting to take a hard look at myself, and my support for Israel. Instead, I read 500 or so pages of barely disguised one-sided rubbish (only 20 of those pages dedicated to Hamas' 7 years of rocket attacks). I particularly love sections which said 'could find no evidence that mosques were used to hide weapons' (erm, look on youtube), and no evidence that Hamas deliberately operated within civilian areas (a statement saying as much by a Hamas leader was quoted, but said that this could not be taken as evidence). High farce
