Let us pray on Mount    Yitzchak Reuven
1. I wish I was in Israel to join you!

2. Jewish rights to Har Habayis
After the 67 War, the Temple Mount was open to all tourists. I roamed freely all over the Temple Mount and entered both mosques. The Arabs welcomed us and appreciated the tourist business. A few years ago I got lost in East Jerusalem while wearing a kippa. Concerned for my safety, I attached myself to a Christian tour group. When they entered the Temple Mount, i was able to get through security but then an Arab security guard came over to me and politely showed me how to leave. The Christians continued the tour but I had to leave.

4. Remove the Waqf
Let the Chief Rabbinate run the Temple Mount. Inform the Arab world they have 2 years to remove their mosques from our lands and if not we will remove them ourselves and bill them for it. Arrest any police officer that aids and abets the Waqf in these illegal actions. That will solve the problem

5. Go Pray at the Temple Mount, may Hashem be with you!
In King David's name, the temple mount belongs to Israel!

6. Dogs in the Manger Belie Something Other Than Religion
Religion is about INCLUSION, and that goes for those not in one's denomination. Anything else is ego and power.

Why not let the "women of the wall" pray on the temple mount

They are top-notch at bringing this inequity to the attention of the media.

11. Discriminatory
Funny to complain about discrimination to pray in temple mound and not about letting arabs build as they see fit in Jerusalem (East, West, North and SOuth). Or discriminating in favor of Jews is OK?
javier ,   paris, france   (03.12.10)
12. This is a matter of human rights
I agree wholeheartedly with this article. The whole situation is not just outrageously offensive to many Jews and other non-Muslims, it is in fact illegal under international and Israeli law guaranteeing freedom of worship and of religious expression. Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights specifically addresses this issue. The Temple Mount is the very holiest Jewish site of all, it should be run by Israel and everyone, regardless of religion or ethnicity, should be free to pray there in peace 24/7. Signs should be erected to make clear where Jews can and cannot halachically go and pray, with a mikvah provided at the base specifically for immersion prior to the ascent. If anyone threatens or commits violence because they cannot respect the rights of others to be able simply to pray in peace on the Temple Mount - which is huge by the way so there is plenty of room - then they must take responsibility for their own actions. I have personally written about this very matter to the Israeli PM, with copies to the UN, leaders of the USA, GB and various other people and await a response. Bottom line is it is a straightforward matter of human rights.

13. I'll keep saying this until...
Everyone in the world finally knows the truth! The Dome of The Rock & the Al-Aqsa Mosque are nothing, they're absolutely meaningless relics, they're leftovers from the first major Islamic caliphate blood feuds between the Umayyads & the Abbasids. The Shiite Abbasid's held Mecca & Medina, while the Sunni Umayyad's were based out of Damascus. In order to compete for pilgrims, the Umayyad's cynically re-interpreted Muhammad's midnight journey dream where he flew on a mythical animal (buraq) to the furthest mosque and ascended the 7 sections of heaven. However in Muhammad's lifetime the both the nearest & farthest mosques were located in Arabia! The Umayyad's declared that the furthest mosque was in Jerusalem; in order to bolster their claim they completed the first basic Al-Aqsa Mosque 53 years after the death of Muhammad. Then 6 years later they completed the Dome of The Rock, declaring that it was on this very rock where Muhammad ascended to heaven. Ironically despite their hard work, the Abbasids ended up slaughtering every male in the Umayyad family lineage! The last surviving Umayyad leader located in Egypt fled to Spain, thus the Spanish have Abbasids to thank for Islam invading their country. But the bottom-line is that The Dome of The Rock & the Al-Aqsa Mosque are relics representing one Islamic caliphate's efforts to cement their myth regarding ownership of a part of Muhammad's life over their Islamic rival's who had possession of the 2 holy Muslim cities--that's all! What I find disgusting is modern Muslims declaring that the remnants of the 2 Jewish Temple (i.e. The Temple Mount) which these 2 Umayyad relics sit on is meaningless and doesn't prove anything! But if the Temple Mount is meaningless, why are the Muslims frightened to death of Jews praying to G-d on this property? If the Temple Mount is nothing, then why are the Muslims intentionally destroying any and all architectural artifacts that prove the existence of the ancient Israelite nation? The truth is that the Muslims are trying to perpetuate a myth by maintaining both The Dome of The Rock & the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the expense of the Jew's real architectural and national heritage!

15. reminds me of a storye
one of the stories I was told before going asllep was about dav and golyeth, golyeth as a big strong guy with a big sward and dav was little but he had a catapul which he threw at golyeth and killed him. the moral of the storye is that israel is like golyeth, big and strong, and will be ok as long as the pals don’t trow sum thing at israel. they tried to destroy golyeth with boms and guns but trhey couldn’t same with israel.

16. It is time
Muslims come to the Temple Mount to riot. They should be deported to Gaza or their ancestral homeland of Jordan. The Temple Mount is Holy Jewish land inside the UNDIVIDED Capitol of Israel.
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (03.12.10)
17. #4 you have it EXACTLY right !!!
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (03.12.10)
18. #11 what?
What are you talking about? There is no discrimination in favor of Jews. The Israeli "justice system" allows illegal Arab building but uses an "Iron Fist" against Jews. Yesterday, a perfectly legal synagogue was destroyed by a special anti-Jew unit set-up by Ehud Barak. In the recent Garden's of Solomon incident, the "justice system" wanted to legalize illegal Arab houses, but to destroy a house built by Arabs as soon as it was bought by Jews.

19. javier #11 what in the word are you talking about?
I have an easy challenge for you, name one discriminatory law we have in favor of Jews. Go ahead so us. We don't have any such laws, unlike EVERY Muslim country which do have them. How is supporting international and Israeli law wrong? How is France's effort to ban the burqa going?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.12.10)
20. RELIGIOUS JEWS ARE FORBIDDEN FROM GOING TO THE TEMPLE MOUNT!
Repeated Rabbinical rulings forbid Jews from ascending the Temple Mount. There is no respectable rabbi who has opposed this ruling. So what's the fuss about? Any Jew who claims to want to ascend the Temple Mount is doing so for political reasons only.

21. the spiritual war
this is not human mind this is spiritual mind the war is between the gods of egypt and the god of israel, arabs and jews because the truth is on both sides the gods of egypt looks for freedom of mind that everyone really wants but the pharaoh exists one god over the rest manipulates them and the god of israel which do not give freedom but every god is the same everyone is equal but the truth of mind into this fucking war of gods is that everyone wants freedom of mind but being equal a mixture of both of them and we refuse one fucking god to manipulate the rest and not to have freedom the only one who really knew this war deeper was Jesus who lived in egypt and israel and Jesus is the medium between the gods Jesus knew that human beings are sometimes as animals the dogs of obedience of israel and the cats of freedom of egypt and Jesus knew that we are really a mixture of both of them we want freedom of egypt and equal of israel if we do not open our minds and think the deepest spiritual thought we are never gonna be free of the contradictions of minds and we are gonna kill each other for ever the black side of mind against the white side of mind.

22. TM
@Gee, I agree with your 1st and 3rd recommendation. Need to seriously reflect on your 2nd. For now at minimum, absolutely no further new construction. Only repairs and matainence. VERY Serious punishment for distruction or possession of historical and architectural artifact.

I am sure when Bibi reads your comments, he will do EXACTLY that. Too bad you did not suggest that to Sharon. Where do you guys live, on Pluto?

24. Also #4 and #17
And FYI, Gee and Dan. Most Muslims are not even Arabs! So consider addressing your solution to the 1.5 BILLION Muslims you are trying to make even madder at the west. Do not call for help if they really decide to attack Israel.

25. Countdown has Begun
So sorry for the predicament which the religous Jews are faced with...your own people, pathetically fearful, appeasing the Islamics and thwarting the rights of decent God fearing Jews. A House divided against itself cannot stand...but how can you reconcile religious Jews and the weak and unbelieveing secular state? All you can do is pray and be patient. Things are going to get much worse in time as the nations fall under the coming deception. Seek your God and consider the testimony of the Messianic Jews among you. True Christians pray for you and your nation daily.

27. Forbidden & Women of the Wall
#20, You are right, if one defines "respectable" as "anyone who has not opposed this ruling." I could name plenty of rabbis, but you've already qualified "respectable" to exclude them. #7, No one here (other than the Waqf and the Jerusalem police) is opposing these (weird, nay) interesting women from ascending along with other Jews. These women have never even requested to pray at the holy site of the Temple Mount - they just want to pray outside the wall, in the area for money-changing and purchasing animals for sacrifices (i.e. the secular section).

28. Americans: impossible in Jews' hands
With the best possible intentions, it may be doubted whether the Jews could possibly seem to either Christians or Moslems proper guardians of the holy places, or custodians of the Holy Land as a whole. The reason is this: the places which are most sacred to Christians-those having to do with Jesus-and which are also sacred to Moslems, are not only not sacred to Jews, but abhorrent to them. It is simply impossible, under those circumstances, for Moslems and Christians to feel satisfied to have these places in Jewish hands, or under the custody of Jews (American King-Crane commission, 1919)

29. To #26: I don't know where to even begin...
You're a typical indoctrinated Muslim who hasn't learned anything other than to memorize and recite the same nonsense over and over again! I get sick and tired when I hear Muslims such as you repeat the old tired line that Muhammad was the last prophet, that the Jews' knowledge was the same as Muhammad's but that the Torah was corrupted and we all pray to the same god! Muhammad went around to the various Jewish tribes in Arabia, they all refuted him! The hadiths try to make it sound like the Jews tested him with questions but none of those questions have anything to do with proving Muhammad was a prophet! I highly doubt that the Jews asked Muhammad what the first meal in paradise would be or why a child resembles his/her mother or father! My personal answer to refute you is way too long for a tiny talkback comment but let me give you the primary no-no's of why Muhammad was wrong. First, the Torah says not to add nor subtract from it (Deuteronomy 4:2 & 13:1). Also Muhammad got his knowledge from a specter saying it was the archangel Gabriel who claimed it was giving Muhammad knowledge directly from Allah. There are 2 things wrong with this, the first is that the Torah explicitly lays out how G-d will communicate with a prophet (other than Moses) and that would be through a dream (Numbers 12:6). The second problem with Muhammad receiving knowledge from a specter is that the Torah absolutely forbids to seek out communication with spirits, especially familiar ones (i.e. Muhammad was manipulated a specter that said it was the archangel Gabriel)! My references are Leviticus 19:31, 20:6, 20:27 & Deuteronomy 18:9-14. But my bottom-line is that Muhammad's knowledge runs exactly counter to all the Mosaic Laws! And we don't lie to non-Jews in order to advance the cause of our religion! Unlike Muhammad who brought in the concept of taqiyya, which allows Muslims to lie to non-Muslims if situation can advance the cause of Islam! The difference between you and I is that my knowledge comes from years of study; whereas your knowledge is based on memorization. I can defend my viewpoint, you can't because you're limited to reciting back what you've memorized!

30. Inequalities and discriminatory policies
How about you fix all the other inequalities and discriminatory policies against Arabs first, and then we can review this one. The points in the Or commission, as well as the separate legal systems in the West Bank are of far greater importance to address.
