Rightists to march in Silwan    Shmulik Grossman
1. Extremists and Doves
The Leftist protesters throwing rocks at worshipers are the Doves (!) and Rightist marching in RESPONSE are the Extremist. How quaint- isn't it? - Is this Haaretz Light?
Thomas ,   Dixieland USA   (03.11.10)
2. The most moderate Arab is more extreme than any Jews
Jews carrying signs are extremists, but the Arabs that throw rocks and fire bombs are innocent moderates. What a joke.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.12.10)
3. Eradicate the communist/marxist leftists!!!!!
death to the ,   left!   (03.12.10)
4. Silwan march
Permitting this march is absolutely nuts. As a U.S, Supreme Court jutice once famously said, fredom of speech does not give you the right to yell "fire" in a crowded theater. This march is like pouring gasoline on a low flame. Yes, Jews should have the right to live or march anywhere in Jerusalem, and yes, many (maybe even most) of the Arab houses were built without permits. But sometimes legal rights have to be tempered by common sense -- and this is one of those times. The right of free speech needs to be weighed against prevention of violence. While U.S. courts years ago allowed a march of Nazis in Skokie, Ill., a city full of Jews and Shoah survivors, the likely consquences were less severe; U.S. Jews and Shoah survivors do not have a history or culture that would suggest the likelihood of a riot and associated violence. Mayor Barkat's development plan is incendiary enough, even if legally and aesthetically correct. Rubbing the Arabs' noses in it is foolish in the extreme.

5. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander
Marzel is pest, but in this case he is just demanding equality before the law. Last week a leftist protest, this week a rightist protest.
Ilan ,   Ariel   (03.12.10)
