Republicans slam Obama's hard line towards Israel     Yitzhak Benhorin
1. Obama's failure
Obama will strike out at Israel as a means to deflect his abysmal Israel/Palestine policy failures. Be prepared Israel. There is more to come.
Jenny ,   London   (03.16.10)
2. Misguided obsession!
Obama and his cronies are so obsessed with 1,600 apartments being built in East Jerusalem while thousands more Americans are losing their homes to foreclosure every week. Where did this administration get its priorities mixed up?! Forget about what's happening in Israel! Worry about the US for once! Sure glad I'm a Canadian!
Danny M ,   Vancouver, Canada   (03.16.10)

9. Obama's is he biggest WIMP since Jimmy Carter
(03.16.10)
10. About Syrian strategy.
Independent of the Golan Heights, the Assad regime considers the axis with Iran a long-term, strategic interest and not a tenuous-tactical marriage of convenience. For Assad to pry away from Iran, in return for the Golan Heights and US engagement, would require to de-Assadize himself. The Syrian leopard cannot change its stripes; it does, however, change its tactics. More about Syrian diplomacy at : http://xrl.us/oshmc

11. In the West, people are used to thinking that Israel ...
In the West, people are used to thinking that Israel cannot survive without the help of Europe and the United States. Maybe the West should start wondering whether Europe and the United States can survive if they allow the terrorists to succeed in Israel. In this new century, the "West" is no longer a matter of geography. The West is defined by societies committed to freedom and democracy. That at least is how the terrorists see it. And if the West is serious about meeting this challenge, it should expand the only military alliance committed to the defense of the West to include those on the front lines of this war. That means bringing countries such as Israel into NATO. More support coming from the West will certainly increase Israels detterence. More at : http://xrl.us/bejqpj

I as an American apologizes for this Idiot that is acting as a President. He does not speak for all of America, and me and my family wish God's blessing on Israel. Continue Building!
Jeff ,   Dallas, TX   (03.16.10)
19. The Republicans have so many good ideas!!
Attack Iran, move the US embassy to Jerusalem, STFU about settlements... I can't understand why the American voters turned these geniuses out of office.
JJohnson ,   Turks & Caicos   (03.16.10)
20. Obamas Domestic Failure Distraction
Obama fiddles with income redistribution and social engineering while the US economy burns down. Unemployment, crime, drugs, greed and all manner of wrath befalls the US under Obama. Like the Arab dictators he blames Israel to distract from his domestic policy results.
Reality Check ,   Florida USA   (03.16.10)
21. Republicans Slam Obama
Congressional Republicans and hawkish Israeli apologists must decide who's national security is more important to them. If they believe that the safety of America's soldiers in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan is less important than Israel, they should move to Israel and leave us alone.
Jezreel ,   USA   (03.16.10)
22. Time to slam Obama
It is good that key Republican leaders are speaking up in defending Israel-America's only reliable friend and ally in the Middle East. More Republicans should speak up and blast the Obama AntiSemite administration.
Brod ,   USA   (03.16.10)
23. US should cut ALL aid to Israel & stay out
Nir ,   USA   (03.16.10)
24. #3 - The hypocrisy exists in the Obama agenda
While claiming they want to stimulate the economy, the Leftists in the US want to cut all military aid to Israel - money that goes directly into the local US military industry, which saves thousands of jobs and affects the economy of more than 15 States. While claiming to be harder on terrorism and spread democratic and human rights, the US Leftists have shown a weak hand to those challenging America and helping terrorists to kill US troops in Iraq. Obama turned a blind eye as Iranian protesters were slaughtered in the street and issued a formal apology to crazy Libyan leader who called for violent Jihad against Switzerland (another US friend). The Republicans are correct - Obama's administration has snubbed their friends worldwide (including Czech republic, Poland, etc.) and been nice to US sworn enemies (Iran, Venezuela, NK, etc.). November is coming fast, and your attempts to destroy both our countries will dissipate quickly.
William ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
25. #5 - Is that before or after Iran targets you?
Iran made it very clear - they are interested in spreading Shia influence over the region and will hit any Arab country with a US presence. Are you sure about your statement? Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, and Morocco are all pissed at Iran's influence in their country to create a Shia rebel group. Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE, Egypt, Yemen, India, etc. are all nervous about Iran's growing military ambitions and the threats against neighboring countries. Notice how Nasrallah stood alone and condemned the Arab world during the Lebanon 2006 ass-whooping. You only show your racist bias with your statement, while your Arab leaders have a more pragmatic position - where both Israel and the US are partnered with.
William ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
26. #15 - True, but there is a reason for Dem lack of support
The Dems badly need a win...anywhere. They are dying in healthcare, the Wall Street bail out is returning to haunt them, no one in the Admin can definitively show jobs saved or created with stimulus funds, and Obama is getting slammed on his foreign policy (which was in question during the election). The Dems desperately need anything to work at this point and since bashing Israel always gets Leftist support, it's a no-brainer. Obama would have gotten bipartisan support for his foreign policy if he scolded both sides evenly and made demands. He would have received intransigence from both sides but atleast he's look more like a balanced leader instead of a charismatic puppet.
William ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
27. #23 - Sure, cut that job-saving stimulus $$$
One thing for sure, stop the aid to Israel and you just dried up many jobs. The aid that goes to Israel is earmarked ONLY for US industries, compared to the aid going to "palestinians" which has NO strings attach. YOUR tax dollars flying out the door into the corrupt hands of PLO and Hamas....$$$ that could help families keep their homes, subsidize health insurance, or bring Internet access to rural areas. Still think Israel is your problem?
William ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
28. #21 - Israeli technology, tactics HELP save US lives
The US never went to war to benefit anyone else, especially not Israel. It was Republicans who are more concerned about US soldier safety than the Dems who tried to cut funding to the war effort and pull out soldiers pre-maturely which could cause more of a blood bath. Dems and their Leftist supporters only began counting the dead in Iraq when it was convenient to frame Bush for a political agenda, but ignored (and will ignore) the hundreds of thousands killed through oppression and sectarian violence in Afghanistan and Iraq. Israeli technology and tight-urban fighting experience were transferred to US soldiers to help them in their war effort. Conversely, the very countries Obama and Dems are sucking up to are assisting elements against US troops.
William ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
