1. We knew this would be the response from the PALS
Yuval Lerner ,   Panama City, Panama   (03.24.10)
Let Obama do all the dirty work for them
2. When did the PA offer guarantees of anything
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (03.24.10)
Israel left Gaza with full buildings and infrastructure including commercial - these were torn down and used as weapons against Israel. Now they want Israel to guarantee not to build in our historic capital? Not going to happen.
3. Good, I'm glad
Eyal ,   USA   (03.24.10)
The thing that boggles my mind is when did the Palestinians ever had any power to dictate Israel to either freeze or no talks? hehehehe, that's so funny.
4. unbelievable
just want to comment ,   usa/israel   (03.24.10)
since this "crisis" developed a few weeks ago, Ive been reading the stories ever since. why do the Palestinians believe they are to receive everything they ask for? the Jerusalem "settlement" building will never cease, the way it should be. The current Israel borders were won in wars, in which the Arab countries lost. They don't accept it. Its okay that other countries fought to gain their independence from their captivators, but when Israel fights for Independence from England to create a Jewish state, nobody leaves us alone. If the Palestinians really wanted peace, they would offer Israel something, they would begin without question to enter peace talks with us. You know they don't want peace. And if a Palestinian state is created, who would control what goes on inside? Its basically what is happening now. Who can prevent the danger, that they would write in their Constitution that they do not recognize the Jewish State and that their goal in life is to destroy it. Then, would the world maybe think oh this was a bad idea?
5. Arabs push Americans to force Israel
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.24.10)
to give up Jerusalem before they commit to "negotiations"
6. But President (?) Abbas
velville ,   atlanta, ga, usa   (03.24.10)
when you were Abu Mazen you and your wife Arafat wanted to kill Jews. Have you really changed?
7. Abbas need not negotiate. He already asked Obama to
Harry Wright ,   UK   (03.25.10)
negotiate for him a few weeks ago.The Arabs have read the play. They know how badly Obama wants the ME peace feather in his cap. Who wouldn't do what Abbas is doing? His answer to Obama is: You want it? Go get it yourself. Just make sure you get me a, b, c and x, y and z as well. Then he sits back and enjoys the show. No need for him to show up at the table when he has the president of the US mashing down the place to get him what he wants. If Abbas doesn't want to go to the table, then I don't see any good reason for Israel to be eager to go. Let Obama go alone and have a monologue. Of the three parties, he is the only one who seems to want the talks.
8. Don't listen what they say but see what they do, traitor!
Goliath   (03.25.10)
9. No media platform for terrorists like Abbas !
Jaacov Baumann   (03.25.10)
Why treat terrorist like respectable people by giving them a media platform ? This means supporting them ! Better use medias to rip off the mask of these monsters ! But dont let them spread their poison in Israeli medias !
10. #3 Palestinian Power
Nour ,   Palestine فلسطين   (03.25.10)
Palestinian are not powerless as you claim. In fact, we have the entire world on our side of the fence, and your Zionist entity is becoming a rogue state and sanctions will be imposed on you soon. That's right, your pocket and stomach will keep shrinking until the dissolution of apartheid and the implementation of the one state solution. At the end, justice (and good PR) wins!
11. Obama is not Israel's president ..
redbourn ,   Arad, Israel   (03.25.10)
and Israel is not the 51st State. How does the PA expect the US to force Israel to do anything? Michael P.S. And no threats of cutting aid please! http://www.ourchangingglobe.com/how-much-does-israel-depend-on-american-aid/
12. #10 Dream On
Cynthia ,   USA   (03.25.10)
You can't negotiate your way out of a paper bag. These "friends" spend their time ranting and raving about Israel but the tangible benefit of their friendship is negligible. Hamas, Fatah and the dozens of Palestinian factions know only terror. You demand this and that but offer nothing in return.
13. Quit complaining you've got Barack working for you
knut ,   sweden   (03.25.10)
Just sit back and relax and Barack will get you your state. All you have to do is a photo op with George Mitchell every couple of weeks. No need to actually negotiate or offer concessions.
14. TO #3 Eyal,Sometimes weakness is a strength
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.25.10)
Gaza, such as Tel Aviv, Thus said the "hero" Sharon then what? you Know what happened? and this will happen everywhere...It is a matter of time...If you're too old you will not see the happy ending .:(
