61. Palestinians HAVE Amman as thei capital
Leah ,   israel   (03.26.10)
Amman is the capital of Palestine. How many Palestinian states do the greedy Palestinians want? Jordan OCCUPIES 78% of mandate land with a Palestinian population of 77% of its people. Jordan IS PALESTINE and its capital is AMMAN..
62. Arab Summit to approve $ 500 million bill for Arab Jerusalem
observer   (03.26.10)
63. Real Americans Support Obama all the way!!!
christopher ,   USA   (03.26.10)
if you think we give a dam what Israelis really think abt our president... then think again... history has shown that zionists and not muslims are incapable of co-existing with others... ... the fact that you've been treating the palestinians like scum in their own country only shows us what kind of people you really are... anyway we fully support our president... anyone who doesn't agree with your hate policies and systematic and state sponsored terrorism is undemocratic of course...
64. I support Obama
David ,   USA   (03.26.10)
Since the Israeli government seems to be more interested in building illegal settlements than they are in peace...it is time for the World to impose peace on them and create a Palestinian State. I applaud the US for taking this stand and doing what should have been done long ago. Maybe if the US hadn't sat back for so long and let Israel do as it pleases, we could have had peace long ago and saved countless lives.
65. America must step in
Jason ,   Florida, USA   (03.26.10)
The entire World is tired of this conflict raging on and on. We are tired of Israel's illegal settlements. We are tired of Arab anger towards the US due to our historical support of Israel. The time has come to create a Palestinian State whether Israel likes it or not. The whole world knows that a Palestinian state is the only solution, and we cannot tolerate anymore Israeli foot-dragging on this matter. As an American, this is one area where I very much agree with Obama's stance.
66. GOOD JOB, OBAMA
Marcos ,   Cali, Colombia   (03.26.10)
The policies of Netanjahu just got too intransigent. He totally got stuck in the oneway street he chose a long time ago... His views regarding the settlement policies do not belong into the 21st century where the whole world grows ever more together... Obama's reaction was actually pretty soft... he is still full of patience with Israel...
67. Israel must inform Obama his conduct has ended peace process
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (03.26.10)
No Israeli is going to participate in a "Peace Process" with an American president who acts like this, for the simple and obvious reason that the element of trust, essential for Israel to take serious, existential "risks for peace" (asked of no other party), has been permanently destroyed by Obama. The broader picture that must be conveyed directly to the American people is this: Either 1) Obama is mentally deranged, and has "gone off the deep end" in behaving maniacally to an unintended, minor slight, or 2) Obama actually planned this entire episode with Clinton far in advance, deceiving the American people, as part of a crank leftist initiative to replace a long-term ally, Mideast's only real democracy, with a supposedly reformed terrorist group, the PLO, working at Saudi Arabia's behest. The detailed scenario playing out here suggests the latter, based on Obama's "Cairo speech", which disturbed many Americans and virtually spit on the graves on the 911 victims. America must either let Israel know where it stands, and/or take corrective action if it has an unfit leader who has lied his way into office and is acting contrary to the Congress and voters wishes. The rift between Obama and Israel can not be healed. He is done, as far as Israel working with him goes. America must decide what to do next. There is no choice for either nation, and a horrific regional war is inevitable if Obama continues on this path.
68. Jason Lieberman 39 - Get a Clue
EZ   (03.26.10)
Obama is the president of the US. But let's call a spade a spade - the US is the greatest land grab ever. Land was grabbed from Native Americans and from Mexico and no one batted a lid. It only stopped because the US ran out of land at the Pacific. To grab this land the Native American population was exterminated except for a handful of symbolic leftovers. Now, the US is dictating to Israel what its gov should do and which land it should relinquish. This despite the fact that Arab control of this land is also based on a land grab. Netanyahu - whether you like him or not - is the leader of a democratically elected country of an indigenous population that has freed itself in its homeland despite everything that has happened to it. Netanyahu represents the just cause here. In the end justice will prevail.
69. TIme for Israel to Step Up
Dave ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.26.10)
Israel, get this done... make peace and give the PA a land of their own. If not, you will all grow old and die bitter and will have lived a life of fear and anger. Life is good.. you should do everything possible to make peace now so you can live happily in the future. Now is the closest you have been to peace in many decades so don't squander this chance. You also shouldn't be trash talking the U.S. We have always been there for you and are only trying to help you achieve peace. Just wake up and strive for peace. Now is the time and Obama is here to help you just as much as he's trying to help the PA. If you get this done, it will also help diffuse the Iranian situation. Live in Peace Israelis and practice what you preach in synagogue every day.
70. to #54: right, so they can blow themselves some more
in our streets?   (03.26.10)
71. JP Jones - I have not yet begun to fight!
Mark of Lewiston ,   Lewiston USA   (03.26.10)
BH Obama - I have not yet begun to make demands! This is just to kick start the negotiations. Obama hasn't made any demands yet. US policy hasn't changed in 42 years on the settlements - They are not legitimate. The US and Obama support Israel, not its perpetual expansion.
72. Disgusting. The US has no right to demand nor the PA
JO   (03.26.10)
this shows me that the US has not a glue. Is the US the mouthpiece of the PA? Does it just dress down Israel and ignore everything the PA does ( like this square named after a terrorist and murderer of Jews, woman and children, no real anger there) Being just and fair, you have to be trusted and Israelis no longer trust Obama's administration.
73. More land to the Pals
Shulamit ,   Israel   (03.26.10)
Obama wants Israel to give more land to the Palestinians just a ROCKET throw from Jerusalem!
74. shocked
just want to comment ,   haifa, israel   (03.26.10)
i am embarrased that i voted for Obama in 2008 but i will not vote for him again if he runs for reelection...sometimes i debate if i want to return to the US but its not any better anymore!!! RELEASE GILAD SHALIT ....we really need to release 2000 prisoners? Give us our one! Please, if we were to give the Palestinians all their requests, what are they giving us? And what guarantees that they will give us anything, and at the end, decide that peace is not for them after gaining everything. ISRAEL STAND STRONG
75. obama demands!!
andrew john ,   new zealand   (03.26.10)
you have played the loyal role for long enough, they don't get it. Time to use the pals approach, make alot more demands, give nothing and intensify building on your soverign possesion, its 'your' gifted land. shalom for Paseach
76. #63, 64, and 65.....you trio make me despair of the future
Cameron ,   USA   (03.26.10)
God knows I'm no complete enthusiast for Israel, or view that state above criticism & correction as some Bible-thumpers on YNET are, but you three are so simplistic & naive that it spooks the Hell out of me. Your comments had such a miserably juvenile & foolish ring to them that they might border on the irrational. I confess I am absolutely baffled at times with the Left's view of the world, and the outcomes they envision coming about. Reality, and the cold world, will never order itself to your ideological taste and satisfaction.
77. Obama and cronies are bringing America to destruction.
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (03.26.10)
78. Say NO to Obama
Brod ,   USA   (03.26.10)
Israel should say NO to Obama on his stupid demand. First, he is not king of Israel. Second, he is siding with the enemy of America and Israel. Third, he has a personal agenda that is an antithesis to the values of Judeo-Christian America. Fourth, he has no business intruding in Israel's internal affairs. Fifth, he is behaving like a Crusader rather than as friend and ally of Israel. Israel should tell him outright-NO and there is nothing he can do about it. Judeo-Christian America and Congress support Israel and are opposed to Obama cowing to Islam and crusading Jihadism on Israel.
79. 'chris' @ 63, nice try.
leo ,   usa   (03.26.10)
80. Just say no to Obama
jpeditor ,   nyc, ny   (03.26.10)
Obama is already a lame duck. More American's hate Obama than have ever hated any American President. The American people will not stand for Obama taking any action that will hurt Israel. 300 Congressmen already signaled their support for Israel. The Israeli media should be ashamed of itself for carrying Obama's anti-Israel message and helping Obama try to destabilize the Netanyahu govt.
81. Please don't call this an "American Plan"
Dee ,   Orlando, Fl   (03.26.10)
This is an "Obama Plan" and it is an outrage to many of us in the U.S. who support Israel. Please don't give in to the demands of this tyrannical administration!
82. Internal affairs? Sovereign country?
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.26.10)
Fine. Then don't expect to suckle at the teat of the U.S. Treasury if you don't want us to "interfere."
83. ## 63-66
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.26.10)
Great responses. You should be applauded for your common sense and sense of justice.
84. #6 - Inyake - foreign countries meddling in
Erastus CoupeDeVille ,   Ong's Hat, NJ USA   (03.26.10)
a sovereign nation's internal politics... I can see your righteous indignation on the subject when it comes to the current Israeli coalition government. But of course you understand that meddling is a two way street... witness Bibi's easy access to Israel-first political action lobbys like AIPAC, ADL, Hadassah... Bibi sauntering around the halls of congress reminding elected US officials that re-election "contributions" can be easily obtained from the well stuffed coffers of specific lobby groups; that the whisper of "anti-semite" can never really be countered, so don't disagree with and always welcome Israeli politicians... just sayin'.
85. kings with no voice
mr. sunset ,   Arizona, USA   (03.26.10)
The LORD G-D of Israel said ..... I will bless those that bless you, "AND" curse those who curse you." ..... remember ariel sharon and new orleans.
86. #63 - Didn't know "palestinians" had their own country
William ,   Israel   (03.26.10)
Where was it exactly? All I can see from maps is "Ottoman Empire", then "British Mandate", then "Israel". Neither of these were ruled by people calling themselves "Palestinians". But then again - there are a host of Arabs living in Israel which are treated just fine, just like everyone else. Oh, but you must be referring to those who used terror against Jewish civilians since 1920 to drive them out of the area. Hmm- yeah, I guess if you go slaughter a whole family and pee inside their holy places, they might not treat you like a dear friend.
87. #65 - are you really tired of it?
William ,   Israel   (03.26.10)
Or are you just tired of hearing about it?? In Darfur, 100x more were killed and raped in just a decade than in the entire Israeli-Arab conflict. But America doesn't seem to be swayed by that too much, except for a few souls who place signs on their lawns. Is it that these Black African lives are worth less or just that CNN doesn't report enough about it to make you care while you switch between channels during commercials? Really - you just show the hypocrisy of your own accusations. And luckily, polls over the past 5 years have shown the majority of Americans on the side of Israel, and consider the "Palestinians" as terrorists and untrustworthy. But maybe they're just right-wing, Christian, gun-toting, nutjobs from the South, right?
88. #82 - but you don't interfere in PA or Egypt
William ,   Israel   (03.26.10)
and the US supplies many billions of $$$ in aid, without stipulation on where and how it is spent. With Israel, you can rest assured that ALL money from the US never leaves it's shores, and is spent right in the US which funds thousands of jobs. But sending families on to unemployment is a small price to pay to hurt Israel, right? Wow, now you sound like the Arabs do when they attempt logic.
89. Recent Flap
Michael ,   St. Louis, USA   (03.27.10)
It is extraordinarily unprecedented for a sitting US President to shun Israel in such an open forum, much less in private. Obama’s immature and calculated responses play into the hands of all who hate Israel, thus lending support to terroristic acts of Hamas and Hizbollah. I and the majority of Americans are embarrassed by him. When Israel’s neighboring nations have sworn its destruction, solely because they are Jews, it does not bode well when this President, who literally bows to Arab leaders, treats Israel’s PM Netanyahu with such contempt. I am more than simply embarrassed, I am grieved. Obama’s prideful arrogance and condescending attitudes toward those of “lesser” status and power is an increasingly emergent pattern. His overt bullying of senior Republicans during the recent so-called summit; his repeated reminders in several venues of “I am the President”; and his quick irritation toward those who assertively seek clarification of his policies are consistent with his untoward behavior concerning Netanyahu and the people of Israel. All this belies an obvious insecurity that is acted out against others whom he perceives as threats to his own sense of self-importance. No true leader, who has earned the right to lead (not simply by election, but by his or her character as a person) needs to remind others that he is in charge. I find it incredulous that people actually believe that a country smaller than Vancouver Island of British Columbia, and a population of less than 8 million people (which is 3 million less than the population of Los Angeles County in California), can threaten to destabilize the entire Middle East. Are people, in general, and this US Administration, in particular, so naive to believe that allowing the Palestinians (read that Jordanians living in Palestine) to establish their capitol in Jerusalem would result in lasting regional peace and foster greater willingness to cooperate with the U.S. and its allies interests in the Middle East? That Syria, Lebanon, the UAE and Iran would be sufficiently appeased to stop their hateful rhetoric and funding Hizbollah and Hamas’ attacks against the Jews, and oil prices would go down? That the Palestinians would stop killing each other? That is what these countries leaders are saying and Obama and his administration are doing everything in their power to appease them. It is a fantasy with Israel as an easy scape-goat. This begs the question, why the irrational hatred and disdain toward the Jews? Especially from Israel’s strongest historical ally, the United States of America? Let it be known that Obama is not us the American people. I pray for the Lord's forgiveness and mercy for the irresponsible and disrespectful tone that this Administration is taking with Israel. I pray for His protection over the Land and its people. I pray that wisdom would prevail on all sides of the issues that Israel faces, and that all of Israel would stand as one in these most troubling times.
90. #82 OK you can keep it
David Tregerman ,   Patchogue, NY USA   (03.27.10)
Sure hope Israel can forgo all the aid and comfort they have given to US Defense industry withj the"money" received. Full faith and credit of Obama? You keep it.
