not Israel. If the border is quiet then nothing will happen. If attempts are made to throw rockets into Israel, or attacks over the border (kidnappings etc) then it will. But Israel will never initiate it, it's interests are in a peaceful border, as should be the Lebanese but maybe not Hezbollah, just listen to their rants on Israel - an obsession that is irrational and religious in nature.

With Israels constant raids, incursions and overflights into Lebannon, their trashing of unarmed Gaza, and Israel casting ever covetous on the Litani river, it behooves them to be prepared for the next, inevitable provocation. Israel is 0and 2 against Hizbollah. On the last one, Israel had 30000 troops against maybe 2500 Hizbollah combatants. Israel had artillery, modern communications, total air superiority, helicoptors,tanks...Hizbollah had none of these yet Israelcould only advance 3 kilometers from their own border before scurrying back. Why? The IDFhaving operated so long against unarmed or stick throwing civilians, has become a rabble,without the stomach for closing with the enemy. Their morale has been steadily sapped from brutal occupation duty for generations. Without the unlimited support of Uncle Sam????

If Hizbullah is so strong, why didn't they lift a finger while Israel smashed Hamas in Gaza with almost no causualties? Why has the border been so quiet since 2006? Why did Nasrallah apologize for starting the 2006 war? Why did Hizbollah suffer a humiliating defeat in the Lebanese elections last year to pro-Western forces (one would think the "Divine Victory" and Iranian bribes/$$ would bring more votes)? Why is it that they needed to murder dozens of nearly unarmed Sunnis and Druze in and around Beirut two years ago? The 2006 war achieved deterrence and the quietest border with Lebanon over the past 30 years. Far more Hizbollah were killed than Israelis. That is why they have not lifted a finger against us since 2006 -- not because they became nice guys. Nasrallah hid in a cave while Israel dismatled Hamas. Hizbullah is hated by its compatriots, whose country they keep destroying. That is why they lost the elections and that is why they need to shoot their Muslim/Druze opponents in Lebanon. It is telling that their non-Shiite countrymen hate them.Hizbollah knows that. That's why they killed so many. Hizbollah is a Shiite militia group financed and armed by Iran for the specific reason of anatgonizing Israel. It is being armed to protect Iran's nuclear program. No other reason. UNR1701 says that NO militas are to exist in Lebanon, they must be disarmed and dismantled. Only LAF should have weapons.... ...Well, Hizbullah admitted to arming themselves, separate from the LAF, after they swore they weren't re-arming. UNR1701 - allows Israel to arm itself as any sovereign nation and national army can.

They did fail in getting back the soldiers, but with so many tunnels and bunkers in the area, there was really no way to reach that goal during the war. Other goals: hit Hizbullah bunkers, communication centers, and take out all mid- to long-range rockets...Did that! Push Hizbullah back across the Litani and make Nasrallah pay a heavy price for his folly....Did that, and he apologize publicly on TV!!! OOOOO - goosebumps! Punish supporters of Hizbullah by hitting arms shipments and sending a message to other capitals to watch themselves?...Did that! Assad pissed himself in his palace away from Damascus! Keep Hizbullah from making any territorial gains, especially in the Shaaba Farms area? Did that! Arrest Hizbullah men, extract a crap load of intelligence out of them and use them as bargaining chips?? Yeah, did that, and then some. Since UNR1701, Israel has never set foot inside Lebanon, let alone your claim raids and incursions. Please elaborate. As for over-flights, who can blame the IAF? UNIFIL is largely inept and before the ink dried on UNR1701, Hizbullah began arming themselves again. Until Hizbullah is disbanded and arms moved to LAF, Israel has full right to over-flights.

Why not tell the world something that most informed people don't already know about.

Read some of the professional military journals world wide, Britain, India, France. They are all scathing.
