31. # 25
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.07.10)
The world today has forgotten the decades of terrorism committed by the Palestinians towards Isral & the Jewish people. How convenient. Yes the world does consider the Palestinians as victims. Very bizarre, I agree,
32. Who's Afraid of Salam Fayyad?!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.07.10)
Salam Fayyad is a man of the moment...With Dr. Fayyad will be the State of Palestine in the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza, and many of the refugees will return here and then we'll see what happens...All the world will witness this historic moment which will establish a new phase....Extremists are not invited to attend this historic ceremony GO FAYYAD GO
33. And the nuts come out of the woodwork...
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (04.07.10)
Here is the nub of the insanity. If Israel annexes the West Bank, then international sanctions will be sure to follow. For, if Israel refuses political rights to the newly 'annexed' it will be rightly deemed an apartheid state which will ensure international oppobrium. Even the US will not countenance such an action. Likewise, expelling the indigenous population is a stupid idea. It will ensure a war and again lead to a total blockade of Israel. And no country will lift a finger to help Israel. Blockading Palestinian goods will likewise ensure a blockade of Israel. If you refuse to allow Palestinian goods to tranship Israel, and maintain a hold over the Jordan Valley, the palestinian economy will fail and again the international community will sanction Israel. A 'failed' state will not benefit anyone. So, the question arises in the starkest of terms, what does Israel really want that is obtainable? You wil have to stop lying to yourselves. Reality sucks, doesn't it?
34. To: No. 32
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.07.10)
I believe I remember Palestinians saying the same thing about Arafat (may his name be cursed throughout eternity). I believe I remember Palestinians saying the same thing about Abbas. Now it is being said about Fayyad, and six hundred years from now it will be said about someone else. Palestinians are incapable of self-government. They are scorpions in a bottle. That is not likely to change.
35. #33 Annexing Judea and Samaria is realistic and desirable.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.07.10)
Mikesailor, Israeli annexation of Judea and Samaria is realistic and fully attainable. Sure the UN will howl as it always does at us. Who cares? Remember when it obscenely condemned Zionism as racism? Israel is still here and thriving more every single year. We are desinted to be an incredibly successful dynamic state and there is nothing our enemies can do to stop us. The UN is failing. Israel is blossoming marvellously by any rational criteria.
36. There may be a ceremony but never a "Palestine" on our land.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.07.10)
Fayad may have some sort of ceremony and some people may attend it. However, there will never be a "Palestine" in Judea and Samaria. Soon we will have 1,000,000 Jews in Judea and Samaria. Keep dreaming. If you pass Israeli security, you may be allowed to visit and pretend you are in "Palestine", Neverland or some other fictional nation.
37.  in response to ethnic cleansing
Daran ,   UK   (04.08.10)
The Serb's were the allies of the UK/US during second world war fast forward half a century and the UK/US are dropping bombs on Belgrade. Thankfully the Serb's have backed away from those 'dark days'. Idea that forced expulsions would be tolerated by the rest of the world and especially the western democracies is deeply flawed and endangers Israel. idea's of blockade of WB are also misplaced, should such a 'blockade' be met with one on your ports .Israel would stop running in one month following fuel sanctions that includes the military. Israel is basically dependent on it's allies to ensure these and other supplies do'nt imagine for one minute that it could get along without them. I support Israel, but keep it real.
38. So, what are you suggesting, Mr. Elad?
Vardina   (04.08.10)
39. #3: The presient has not forgotten. He has
Israeli   (04.08.10)
also not forgotten that his name is Hussein and therefore his loyalty to Muslims is stronger than to America. However, naive Americans voted for him, but instead of being grateful and loyal he is etraying them.
40. #20 YOU ARE SO IGNORANT OF THE FACTS
vARDINA   (04.08.10)
THAT YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE AN ANSWER
41. #27: your words as so confused that it
Vardina   (04.08.10)
is impossible to understand what you mean. But, I am sure it can not be logical.
42. #29: You are great! It is exactly so!
Vardina   (04.08.10)
43. Chaim, Saddam said "who cares" to the UN as well...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.09.10)
...how'd that turn out for him? So tell me Chaim, what do you do with the nearly two and a half million Palestinians in the West Bank? And two hundred thousand more in East Jerusalem? Seriously. Lay out exactly what future those Palestinians would face under a West Bank "annexation" by Israel.
