1. Nothing has changed during the past year but the Presidency
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.06.10)
of the United States. As a result of that change, the US administration has chosen to elevate its perception by the Muslim-Arab world on the back of Israel; by humiliating on an on-going basis of Israel's prime minister and in so doing one of Israel's symbols of sovereignty and independence. It is not entirely clear that America's status in the Muslim-Arab world has changed, but in the process the Muslim-Arabs, including the Jordanian king, have received the signaled: if we, the US, can humiliate Israeli elected officials and spit on Israel's laws, government institutions and in turn the Jewish people, within and without Israel, whose nation-state Israel is, you can do the same. And the reactions are: The verbal abuse of the Turkish prime minister, baseless accusations by the king of Jordan, stone lobbed at Jewish worshipers, fire directed at Israel police officers and rockets launched at the Jewish children of southern Israel. Thank, thank you very much Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. P.S. Barack is taken from Barakah in Arabic...!!
2. Jordan Monarch worries
ik ,   USA   (04.06.10)
Are Jordan's worries why they deligitimized the citizenship of all their "palestinian" brothers??? Sounds like Abdullah is getting ready to send them out of the country. To where? What if Israel did that, too?
3. Just wait for the hateful comments against Jordan...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.06.10)
...it is very hard to find any Israeli that will stand up in these talkbacks and proclaim herself or himself for a real common sense peace, and shout down these other idiots who are preventing it.
4. Jordan has no past and no future
Rafael ,   Yerushalayim, Israel   (04.06.10)
The little king does protest too much. It is his illegitimate fiefdom of "Jordan" which will cease to exist.
5. stop blabing, he whines about situation
ghostq   (04.06.10)
and do nothing, really nothing, he doesn't made of the material of quality ruler just spoiled someone who was raised on British cultur monarchy. I reckon he doesn't want to get his hands dirty cause he might brake a nail.
6. J. Army
Dov ,   USA   (04.06.10)
Is the Jordanian military are as tuff a fighting force as they were when we fought them in 1967 victoriously over Jerusalem?
7. Told ya...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.06.10)
8. No. 1 Makes A Good Point
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (04.06.10)
Israel bashing is infectious and if the US does it, why shouldn't the Arabs? Mr. Obama probably realizes that his hard-line towards Israel is being perceived by the Arabs as sharp turn in US policy and attitude towards Israel. This is not good. Mr. Obama reasons that this new pressure on Israel will compel Israel into unwanted concessions and compromises. But, we know that these concessions and compromises are extremely dangerous and will result in a far smaller, weaker and more vulnerable Israel. Mr. Obama probably knows that, too, which should make us exceedingly suspect of everything he is trying to do. We have little to gain in cooperating with Mr. Obama these days.
9. to 2
simsim ,   jerusalem   (04.06.10)
it is not the case it is not about the citizenship it is about that any one want to reach jerusalem military he will pass through jordan and the prophecy will be put
10. HUSSEIN -- ARROGANT - ISRAEL CAN BEAT JORDAN IN ONE MINUTE..
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (04.06.10)
ISRAEL .... NEVER TRUST THIS GUY, AS HE IS ALMOST LIKE HIS FATHER, OR PERHAPS LIKE ANY ARAB / MUSLIMS IN THE AREA. WHEN THEY SMELL " BLOOD " , THEY TURN ON YOU REALLY FAST. IN 1967 WHEN THE ARABS WERE TOLD THAT THEY WERE WINNING THE WAR AGAINST ISRAEL, KING HUSSEIN JOINED IN FOR THE " IMAGINARY KILL " AGAINST ISRAEL.
11. Abdullah King of Arabian Nights
Yardena   (04.06.10)
King is worried"Palestine" willencroach on his fictitious self made kingdom .here is excerpt that might clear the way Excerpts from JOSEPH FARAH DEBUNKS ARAB MYTHOLOGY © 2002 WorldNetDaily.com February 21, 2002 What is a Palestinian? What's the definition? Well, here are a few possibilities: Anyone who Yasser Arafat, the Egyptian, says is a Palestinian. Anyone who claims to be a Palestinian. Any angry Arab. Before 1948 and the creation of the new state of Israel, the term generally referred to Jews, ironically enough. The Jerusalem Post was called the Palestine Post. Since most of the people living in the region then, as now, were Jews, it was only natural to think of Palestinians as Jews. As I've written before, there never has been an autonomous, self-governing Arab state in the history of the world never. There is no distinct Palestinian Arab culture or language. Most of the people we call Palestinians today actually have their roots in other Arab countries. The United Nations and others tried to address the definition of a Palestinian early in the refugee crisis. There were various efforts. Sometimes, according to Joan Peters' milestone book, "From Time Immemorial," the U.N. categorized as Palestinian anyone who had been in the region for two years or even less. The Arab population of the region continually climbed along with the Jewish population as economic and living conditions improved. Workers came from Egypt and Jordan and even non-Arab countries to capitalize on the opportunities Jewish immigration brought. There were some 50 different languages spoken among the "Arab" population in pre-1948 "Palestine." By definition, Arabs speak Arabic. These non-Jewish Palestinians who spoke languages other than Arabic were, in most cases, as new to the area as any recent Jewish immigrant. The so-called Palestinian leadership, from Arafat on down, are known for inventing the most creative stories about their families' long histories in Palestine. They tell you where they went to school. They tell you where they lived. They recall fond memories of the scents and flavors of Old Jerusalem. Yet, when you dig beneath the surface, you find most of the stories are fanciful myths worthy of the spinners of Arabian Knights legends.
12. This moron worried about future of Israel!! Clear exemple
Sami ,   Lebanon   (04.06.10)
how cleaver the arab rulers are.It was much better if he shut up and worry about Jordan future ,that actually has no future. "The job of Jordan and the other leading countries is to keep common sense " What ingenuity i am reading !! Jordan and LEADING countries!! working on common sense with Lieberman!!!!!!!!! Mr.King made my day today of laughing.
13. Abdullahs time has passed! he must step down and give the
"jordan"="palestine"   (04.06.10)
palestinians their country back and he must go back to saudi arabia from where he came! jordan = 90% palestinians = palestinian state!
14. Helllo... we HAVE peace....
Noah ,   Israel   (04.06.10)
what the Arabs want is war because they aren't getting everything they expect through bribery and "negotiations".....
15. To #3
Wesley   (04.06.10)
This has nothing to do with peace. Read your history and you'll see that the king and his hashemite predecessors are ruling over the Palestinan state that was created in 1922. If he would give up his illegitimate claim and turn the country over to its 80% Palestinian population that would be the greatest contribution to peace.
16. Israel is becoming a pariah nation
David ,   USA   (04.06.10)
And they deserve it judging by the attitude of the country these days--particularly the government. Israel has become a fear-mongering, ultra-nationalist country. I once deeply loved and believed in what Israel stood for but no longer. I see it as a belligerent nation that has no intention of becoming part of the world community. Its only goal seems to be hateful rhetoric, stirring trouble, and expanding its borders at the expense of any possibility of a future Palestinian state. What has happened to you Israel?
17. Israel's future more sure than Jordan's.
St. Joe ,   Jerusalem   (04.06.10)
Because Jordan is Palestine.
18. Legitimacy : Israel and the 22 Arab League countries.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (04.06.10)
It should be remembered that in 1918, with the fall of the Ottoman Empire, Britain and France were handed 5,000,000 square miles to divvy up and 99+% was given to the Arabs to create countries that did not exist previously. Less than 1 % was given as a Mandate for the re-establishment of a state for the Jews on both banks of the Jordan River. In 1921, to appease the Arabs once again, another three quarters of that was given to a fictitious state called Trans-Jordan. (Jack Berger, May 31, 2004.) The total for all the 22 Arab League countries is 6,145,389 square miles (SM). By comparison, all 50 states of the United States have a total of 3,787,318 SM. Israel has 8,463 SM, about one-sixth of that of the State of Michigan. Iran, Turkey, Pakistan and Afghanistan are Muslim but not Arab and are not included. World Arab population: 300 million; World Jewish population: 13.6 million; Israel's Jewish population: 5.4 million. More at : http://xrl.us/benher
19. He is just worried about the Hashemite throne..
Dan ,   USA   (04.06.10)
Sooner or later the Palestinian Arabs will take the power away from the Hashemites. That is what so worrisome to that Abdullah.
20. what is that? a threat?
epps   (04.06.10)
if he is not careful israel will open a hole and let the arabs that want israel, take over his little kingdom
21. Poor Abdullah
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.06.10)
Although he is smart, Obama's practical experience is limited to being a community organizer and he does not understand diplomacy. Obama believed his spiritual mentor Wright's anti-Jew rantings and decided to delegitimize Israel, thinking it would bring peace. Instead, the Arabs understand that Obama will destroy Israel for them, so they don't see a need to negotiate. Poor Abdullah now needs to tear up the "peace treaty" with Israel so he won't appear to be pro-Israeli. But it won't help. In the "Obama War" that will break out soon, Islamist forces will get rid of the American puppets in Jordan and Egypt while Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States will have to align with Iran. The only question is whether Obama blame Bush.
22. Jews got nothing from Jordan
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.06.10)
Regardless of what the prevailing progressives like to portray, the peace with Jordan was a crippling blow to true peace. Why? Simply because it promoted the falsity that the Palestinians were a separate entity and not part of the greater hostile Arab empire, that continually plots the destruction of the Jewish people and world domination under the umbrella of Muslim rulership.
23. Lets Not Forget Palestinians Are Jodanians
Israel ,   Los Angeles   (04.06.10)
Lets not forget Palestinians are Jordanians. They came from Jordan. In the WAR Israel was victorious winning over the West Bank. There was never Palestinians. These were Arabs that were expelled from Jordan. Israel let these Arabs reside in Israel, that was the mistake Israel made. Two state solution?? Why? Israel was attacked and Israel over ran the west bank. When you fight a war and blood is shed, you cant expect the victorious country to give it back, let alone have the enemy want to create its own country from lost real estate it lost in war. It's to bad we listen to todays propaganda and the Arab pressure from around the world and not refer to history..
24. Future is part of the past
Antonio ,   Spain   (04.06.10)
Another anachronic arab king trying to learn the rest of people the way to get the peace in the area. This king is, for me, like Morocco's king, an 'I want but I cannot'. Who can expect anything right from dictators like him and his friend Al-Assad but nonsenses and treats like this one? Remember who provocated the war, who didn´t want his own people (Pals) ... Now, it's time to reconsider the peace, for 'Israel's continuity' ... pathetic ...
25. #23 Palestinians are from Jordan?
Nour ,   Palestine   (04.06.10)
Wow - Making ridiculous comments on Arab history and Muslim right in Palestine since 690 AD? Go back to school, and pick up a history book - your statement is not only ridiculous but it's totally void of any scholar argument! I suggest you stick to LA gossip and leave the ME affairs to its dwellers!
26. I would worry too if I were him
Lioness ,   Israel   (04.06.10)
The Jordanian 'king' the real foreigner in the region as his family are from Arabia knows only TOO well that Jordan OCCUPIES 78% of mandate land with a Palestinian population of 77% of its people. Jordan IS Palestine!
27. Israel's king: Future of Jordan in jeopardy

28. After hezbollah war Abdullah threatened Israel
jason ,   haifa israel   (04.06.10)
He isn't the moderate he is made out to be. He said the fire will hit israel.
29. King Abdullah
PPsalms 83 ,   Selah   (04.06.10)
King Abdullah you and your father could have solved this years ago by providing a section of land on the east side of the jordan for a palistinian state... and left israel alone..... but instead chose to use the palistinian people as pawns in a idelogical battle to completely remove israel....it still broils down to a HUDNA process to completly remove israel and the jews from the area of palistine....peace meal or otherwise.... you have an rude awaking coming .... read Psalms 83
30. to #22 amm not accurate the tombs of the school girls
