We don't have the monopoly on corruption. In every country and every city around the world, corruption is rife. It makes it worse because it's our corruption. It seems that Jerusalem is a free for all. There are no building guidelines in Jerusalem, there are no preservation orders stamped on historic and beautiful homes. And there are no building guidelines that forbid eye-sores and skyscrapers. Nothing to keep the city consistent with its ancient surroundings. Jerusalem belongs to Israel, but because of its religious roots and history, it is also in the hearts of Jews and non-Jews around the globe. Crimes, bribes and backhanders make it even more repellent, given the holiness and the sanctity of the city.

Ynet should not publish this kind of anti-Israel article. Just because there are Arab Islamist-Jihadists in Jerusalem, you don't give any part of Jerusalem to them. Jerusalem is part of the Land of Israel.

This squalid indictment of greed, graft and corruption involving the Holyland fiasco is only the tip of the iceberg by the self serving Israeli leadership of former Prime Minister Olmert and his crooked cronies from the Jerusalem Municipality who should have been responsible and accountable to their citizens. It is an example of how that country is morally slowly and surely self destructing.
