Lawrence, you are sick, and should be behind bars!
7. True deniers are sick and out of touch with reality!
michael redbourn ,   Arad, Israel   (04.16.10)
People like this Bishop and others who really claim the Holocaust didn't happen are actually sick because they are divorced from reality. Others like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad know its true of course but deny it for political reasons. Mike

Birdi ,   Israel   (04.16.10)

why do you call lawrence sick???? after all, tghe entire world including yourself is aware of the travesty and tragedy in the sexual abuse the chirch bishops and priests have done to hundreds of thousands of children in the usa, ireland and entire european continent. after all, unless you live under a stone in a cave, you would realize that lawrence is not sick, but absolutrely right and this is what irks you. the catholic priests' travesty is hard to digest, i know, but it is perverse, all around the globe and true to boot. and b y the way, it is not lawrence that should be behind bars. it is all those bishops and priests and the entire catholic church for hiding these pedophiles, not saving the children and completely betraying all the moms and dads who sent their innocent children to school so that the catholics can molest and destroy their innocence and future. yes, these people should be behind bars, including someone like yourself that seems to encourage this behavior or feel that it is normal and shouldn't be punished or repudiated. hameed aboughaze, iranian

14.  #11....You don't know what your talking about!
Edithann ,   USA   (04.16.10)
Is the Holocaust a state religion for all countries? Why shouldn't anyone ask questions...don't they ask questions of the Torah and make interminable interpretations? Isn't that what all those studies are about? You're way off the mark on Priest Pedophiles...it's in every culture even Rabbis have been accused...could the coverup of Rabbis be analogus to the cover up of the Catholic Church...after all...isn't what what's always been kept secret? TATA
15. Denial ?
Mike ,   UK   (04.16.10)
He didn't deny he questioned. Did you know every time someone questions this and gets prosecuted for it, it looks like there's something to hide ? Think about it. We can question absolutely anything in history going back thousands of years but not the 'Holocaust' Not only that, they are getting prosecuted in land that is very small minority jewish. A pen is mightier than the sword. Take the pen away and they'll use the sword, that's a guarantee. That's what's happened throughout history. That is why history will and always will be questioned.
16. I AGREE with Resistor #1
Israeli 2   (04.16.10)
Even bastardly anti semites have the right to freedom of speech. Catholic or otherwise.....otherwise, it is NOT freedom of speech.
17. Agree w/ #16
Josh S ,   USA   (04.17.10)
Even bigots have the right to freedom of speech. When we prosecute them, we just make their absurd views sound more credible. I say let him spout off his small-minded drivel to his heart's content. The right of free speech does not given him the right to be taken seriously.
18. Why do we have to behave like
Israeli 2   (04.17.10)
ONLY MY OPINION COUNTS? This guy has his OPINION about the Shoah as do many stupid anti semitic Bastards. SO WHAT? Can anyone please tell me what crime there is in expressing an OPINION? Thank YOU for anyone smart enough to give me a truly SMART answer!
19. Good decision
P ,   Philadelphia   (04.17.10)
I believe that while free speech is a good general rule for society, limits that protect against dangerous racism or sexism are appropriate. The US doesn't quite have the balance right - we should not want lese majeste protecting religions from insult as some countries do, but banning the speech of Klansmen, Shoah-deniers, some white power groups, and similar is appropriate and healthy.
20. Yes, he's right, and the earth is flat too!
noa ,   israel   (04.17.10)
21. # 15
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.17.10)
Williamson said in a TV interview that he did not believe Jews were killed in gas chambers during Word War II. That is a denial & not a question. If you would like to ask any questions about the Holocaust, please do, as you are on an Israeli 100% Jewish website. It is a crime in Germany to deny the Holocaust.
22. # 14
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.17.10)
Edithann, you are mistaken. post # 11 knows exactly what he is talking about whereas you do not.
23. # 16
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.17.10)
No freedom of speech for anti-semites in Germany.
24. # 11
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.17.10)
Bravo to you, Hameed.(yet again)
25. #8 #10 #16
Faruq ,   Ireland   (04.17.10)
#1 was obviously being sarcastic, there is nothing innocent about this evil man. And #16 this is not a simple matter of free speech, it is far more complex.
26. Catholic church has lost all credibility
pumpkin pie   (04.17.10)
If he is a Holocaust denier, then why was his excommunication lifted? Shouldn't he have been booted out of the church for good? And another thing, according to Wikipedia, the reason he was excommunicated in the first place is because he wasn't properly consecrated as a Bishop. It had nothing to do with him being a Holocaust denier. So let me get this straight: improperly being consecrated gets you excommunicated; but denying the Holocaust gets you un-excommunicated????!!? No surprise coming from the same outfit that brought us the pedophilia scandals.
27. Lawrence doesn't belong behind bars ...
pumpkin pie   (04.17.10)
but the pedophile priests DO belong there. Instead, they got shuttled from one church to another where they could create new victims.
28. Edithann -- how sick
pumpkin pie   (04.17.10)
Your comparing questioning the Holocaust to asking questions about Torah is about the sickest comparison I've ever heard of. For your information, the Torah has to do with a religion, and the Holocaust has to do with genocide. Also, to my knowledge, when rabbis, pastors, etc. in non-Catholic religions are caught abusing children, they go to jail; but when a Catholic priest does it, they get protected by the Vatican which is more interested in preserving the Church's so-called "reputation" than in doing the right thing by the victims and society.
29. 11Crime of a few isn't the guilt of the whole Church
lydia ,   Brisbane   (04.17.10)
A law that forbids criticism/denying of the Holocaust is draconian and stupid. There are laws against criticism of the King of Thailand but none for criticizing the POTUS. You can go to jail for denying the Holocaust but you won't go to jail for denying Christ. The jews and their Talmud deny Christ as their savior and they have some rather unpleasant names for Mary the mother of God, can we use this law to incarcerate them for their denial and blasphemy?
30. thought police are everywhere
irki   (04.16.10)
it never stops. government everwhere is trying to keep everyone from voicing ideas and opinions. let everyone say their piece. if some dummy thinks that nothing happened then, let him. who is harmed by someone elses thoughts. if you have your feelings hurt shut yourself in and do not participate in this world. just stop telling people what to think and say. freedom is being strangled by the thought police.
