What are the odds of a meteorite THAT small hitting a TINY strip of beach in [what some call] a TINY country [that is, the TINY portion of it we are left with] What are the odds????? BUT: What If It IS? I have a 'gut' feeling THAT IT IS! The Earth is being *constantly* bombarded, 24x7x365. The odds that a meteorite will hit the Earth are 100%. At all times. Never stops. You call that a miracle? Oh, by the way, the Earth is currently passing through the annual Lyrid meteor shower, which was documented 2600 years ago.

The smaller the rock, the more often it happens. Dust is being continuously swept up. Pea sized rocks hit every few seconds. 20cm rocks several times a day. Rocks the size of cars produce spectacular shooting stars several times a year. They also produce prodigious amounts of apocalyptic interpretations and wild headlines across the internet. These are not miracles or warnings or signs anymore than orange juice, a piano or the color mauve. So, what would it take for *me* to consider an impact a "sign"? I would consider it a sign if an impact occurred which matches the description in the book of Revelations. An event is described precisely enough to to determine size, location, and distance from Israel, of an asteroid impact, 2-4km in diameter. This event happens once every 4.3 million years (mean). So, if it -just-happens to occur, near Israel, right around -now- then, YES I would be convinced it was a prophesied event. A tiny rock falls on the beach... not so much.

It is my understanding that meteorites this size are cool by the time they reach the ground- could this be a piece of spewage from the volcano so far away?
