Our President Barack Obama offers a huge measure of hope for our country, the election of a black man as President of the United States would be one of the most positive and remarkable events to take place during my lifetime, and although I agreed with many parts of his domestic and foreign policies particularly in regard to peace for Israel I am ashamed to see Jews treat him as a hate figure when he has gone out of his way to protect Israel.

Although I can hardly be called a fan of Obama, I personally think this display is appalling and tasteless. I've always considered us Jews to be more intelligent and classier than our Arab neighbors, now I see that some of us take examples from them. With this in mind, I still don't think Americans officials are entitled to protest against this, after being completely silent when George W. Bush photos and puppets suffered similar fate in Arab countries, to a hugely greater degree. This would be hypocrisy.

What is baffling is that Most Jewish Americans belong to the Democratic party which has traditionally been much less supportive of Israel. Both Jimmy Carter and Barack Hussein Obama belong to the Democratic party and both have proven to be anti-semitic. Either Jewish Americans are greatly misguided or they are self-hating.

I suppose burning photos is less destructive than bomb attacks- it is however a primitive and childish act- and I hope this does not reflect the thinking of the majority of Israelis- .
