2. #1 Who cares what jewish groups have to say. Last time we
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.02.10)
Saw only 400 people protesting. I wonder how much it's gonna be this time. Maybe 100?? As a state leader,he has every right to come, speak and etc. And guess what, you can't do anything about it. In other words, you are irrelevant.
3. He has every right to visit the UN. Just as
Mark ,   Netherlands   (05.02.10)
Soviet leaders had that right!!! If you are unhappy about it,that's your problem.
4. Tough luck for you. Cuz he will go and he will talk and you
Alex ,   Stockholm-Sweden   (05.02.10)
Can only watch and cry.
5. Does US Contravene the NPT?
Reader ,   from Edmonton   (05.02.10)
Do Israel's weapons contain parts made in the USA?
6. #2 Reason Jewish protests are so small
rebecca ,   Modiin   (05.02.10)
is because we are busy working and being good active citizens. Take a look at who is at pro-arab protests.
7. NO SOONER THAN THE TIMES SQUARE TERROR THIS GUY ARRIVES...
stude ham   (05.02.10)

8. #6 LOL..That was the most funny statement I have heard in a
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.02.10)
Long time. Weren't you guys mocking american jews for not being good jews and all?? So now it all comes down to the working and being busy thingy, right?LOL What about in Brazil,in Switzerland,in Austria, and etc. Were jews busy in these countries too??These are places either Ahmadinejad himself or his people have visited, and hardly anybody took you serious in your demonstrations.
9. Interesting talkbacks from Holocaust perpetrating countries
Jackie ,   Florida   (05.02.10)
It's interesting that one talkback, arguing for the madman from Iran speaking in the US comes from Vienna, where members of my mother's family were slaughtered gleefully as Austrians happily joiuned with Germany during the Shoah. Another comes from Sweden which helped arm Germany during WW2 and a third comes from the Netherlands, where the largest percentage of the nation's Jews went to the death camps. Has thee been any change in these nations since the 1930s and 40s
10. Why?
Sam ,   Australia   (05.02.10)
Iran is developing nuclare weapons just like irac was developing/had bio/chemical and other weapons of mass distruction? Not saying that Iran is or Irac was in the right, am just wondering where this is being pushed with world leaders and others acting this way.
11. To Peter from Austria
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.02.10)
Anti-semitism is a main ideological component of most extreme right wing groups & their publications in Austria. Extreme rightists & neo-nazi groups have intensified their activities in Austria since 2000. In my words you are more irrelevant.
12. # 9
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.02.10)
Excellent observation Jackie.
13. Let him come
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.02.10)
He needs a reality check, and he probably won't be very happy to see all the IRANIANS who plan to demonstrate against him. Tee hee. I'm lovin' it!
14. Chosen People
Merlin ,   El Paso, Texas   (05.02.10)
“When money speaks, the truth is silent”
15. SarahB. You mean the only 400 we saw last time??
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.02.10)
As reported by media?? Wow,what a large number of iranians. But I guess 400 to you has to be LARGE.
16. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.02.10)
Probably not. Jews invented nuclear physics. Israel is full of Jews. You do the math. Your comment was really rather stupid; hope you realize that. Well .... if you didn't then, you do now.
17. #4 Says Who?
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.02.10)
The purpose of his visit is to disrupt the meeting. As soon as he starts his anti-Israel rant, the room will empty. He's already isolated and bankrupted Iran. You should be worried because it looks like he can't afford to send money to Hamas. Difficult to cut subsidies to Iranian poor, then turn around and send money to Hamas.
18. Only when you learn to have respect to world opinion, only
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.02.10)
Then will the world take you serious. Other than that, this jumping up and down will lead you to nowhere. We already saw how you made up the iraq fiasco, the world isn't going to allow it to happen again. Besides, lotsa countries are doing business with iran and to them, the importance of iran is much more than the importance of israel. Specially not in times of financial crisis.
19. NPT Conference hypocrisy
Hugh ,   Eugene Oregon   (05.02.10)
The only "effort to divert attention and confuse people" will be by my country, the United States, to hide the fact that Israel has hundreds of atomic bombs on planes and elsewhere, all aimed at Iran. It is only fair that if Israel is allowed to have nuclear weapons, then Iran is also. Self defense is a human right, even for an enemy of the U.S.
20. #18 Iran does not represent world opinion
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.02.10)
Actually, Iran wants to ignore world opinion and silences Iranian opposition opinion. It's the regime's way or the highway. Where has jumping up and down led Ahmadinejad? If so many companies are doing business with Iran, why is Iran's economy so poor while the economy of Israel is doing well? I guess there's some that crow while others produce.
21. NPT
neil fahey ,   chicopee ma   (05.02.10)
Greetings all. I do find/agree with the statements that Israel is not part of the NPT, has never admitted to owning nuclear weapons, so, it would be hypocritical to bar Iran from having a spot at the UN. Also, the fact that the US gives Israel the most money of any country in the world, makes any talk from the US very partisan. The big question is-who gets to have nukes,,,,,and why!
22. Let Him Come
Barney ,   w.p.beach   (05.02.10)
GIVE PRAISE!
23. Reader from Edmonton, the answer is yes and yes.
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (05.03.10)
...it is the real reason for Israel's ambiguity, it goes back to Richard Nixon. US Aid to countries that have nuclear weapons deployed but have not signed the NNPT is forbidden. Thus, the lie of ambiguity to perpetuate yet more intransigence between Israel, the US, and the rule of law.
24. you should praise Ahmadinejad
tomek ,   poland   (05.03.10)
He wants to attend a Non-Proliferation Treaty conference. Isreaelis, who claim to be so threatened by Iran's nukes (which it does not have anyway) should applaud that. There is no logic to your protests, unless you and the Americans seek an excuse for war against Iran. Moreover, maybe your leadears should attend this conference as well. After all, you are the only NPT violators in the Middle East.
25. AHMADINIJAD loves this attention...
Ali ,   villanova -PA- USA   (05.03.10)
The MORE the Christian Right BARKS like WILD Dogs,The more this guy love it and the more he want to egg it on.. BUT..the Jewish organizations do have a legitimate right to Protest what this preaches.and what he stands for..
26. I hope he gets a room in a roach motel
JOe Frazier ,   Philly   (05.03.10)
27. Ship Him Back In A Box
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (05.03.10)
I am not a violent person however, in this case, I would make an exception and would like to see this maggot shipped back where he came from in a box.
28. Najad @ NPT
Ali ,   Washington DC   (05.03.10)
Weather we like the guy or not. Iran is at the center of all this nuclear non-proliferation talk. The future of the Iranian people and the middle east region depends on how well the conflict over nukes with Iran is resolved. To offer him a podium to make or break his case seems fair enough if not an obligation the world has.
29. #5
Harold ,   USA   (05.03.10)
Most of Israeli Nuclear bomb parts are supplied by France and Britain. Almost all others weapons that killed Palestinians are made in USA. Most IAF fighters are made in USA. Phosphorus bombs are made in USA. Most Israeli tanks are imported from Germany. So you see most Western countries share all the crimes rendered in the Middle East.
30. WHILST THE PRESIDENT CARRIES ON
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (05.03.10)
With his scheduled presence plus the Iranian Ministers who are to work on insisting the changes in the NPT laws made almost forty years ago,Sarah and Cynthia will,in the meantime, try a nd break the record of gathering more than 400 people to kind of show their discontentment at President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad;s presence in the USA.Last time the 400 who had gathered had included almost 30% of those who did not know why the crowd had collected and just happened to be there out of curiosity. Anyway, let Sarah do the hard work this time and let us see the number of demonstrators.Another important point in contention is the headline of this article which reads 'PERSONA NON GRATA'.This is a joke indeed.Let the readers know that granting of visa to the Iranian delegation is NOT a prerogative but an obligation. There is no way in which USA can deny or act against any UN member.Let Sarah confirm that although it is totally to her disliking. In an attemt to create hue and cry about Iranian President's visit and letters being written to hotels and other important institutions, somewhat contradictory interest is being created in the local medias and other organisations in the USA.The hue and cry is creating more interest amongst people to see what the President of Iran has to say.Let Sarah deny this and I have evidence to show to her what happened the last time Mahmoud Ahmedinejad was there in the USA. Let Cynthis concentrate on Iran's economy while we move ahead to make sure that the NPT is not just a poll over game conference the way it has been for the last few decades. There are issues to be addressed and sought answers for.THIS, and only this point is what is worrying the likes of Sarah and Cynthia.Take it up Peter, over to you.
