Here go the Palestinians lying through their teeth yet again. They whine whine whine about us nasty Israelis with our building, and claim that they are maintaining a ceasefire and that we are the ones who do not want peace. Well, here is more proof they Palestinians are lying. They attack us, they claim it again as "legitimate resistance to against the occupation", and will blame Israel for making them shoot a rocket at our civilians. Palestinian terrorism. Palestinian war crimes (Goldstone said so, not me). Proof that the Palestinians either do not want peace, or cannot control their own territories and are unable to guarantee that they will keep their word if they sign a peace treaty.

I'm sure it's very comfortable sitting in your home in the UK. Why don't you come here and witness these "funny" rockets yourself. How would you like your children to live in fear everyday knowing they can be killed by these "funny" rockets? Isn't it good to know our "Palestinian peace partners" celebrate the beginning of "peace talks" with their traditional gifts to Israel. As many rockets as they can fire. Imagine how much more generous "Palestinians" would be in showering us with such gifts if we were lunatic enough to offer them more of our land!

Since Hamas & other extremists in Gaza have stated their opposition to "proximity" talks betwen the PLO & Israel in the US the rocket may be intended to derail the talks before they start by bringing retaliation & cause new "martyrs" on the path to peace.

Israel should hit them hard without any qualms. Islamist-Jihadists understand only violence and terrorism to subdue and dominate other countries.

What I have been thinking about for quite sometime is: With all the brilliant engineers/scientists Israel has at its disposals why have they not found a means whereby,the rockets to "ricochet" the rockets where they are lobbed from. We have discussed this subject a long time ago with varied suggestions by responders. Surely there arequite a few means. To think of the daily trauma particularely for the children who suffer from,when they hear the sirens and have a nano second to run into the shelters. Plus the damage to the structures. And the fool yup there from the UK(most probably a muslim arab squatter) is trying to be controversial with GLEE. Just let him visit Israel,I'd like to be there and put him in Sderot,Ashkelon and Negev and like a cowardly arabs all ,he'd not last a minute. Oh well what does one expect from their likes.

I think what #4 is saying is that Israel is launching qassams against itself and then framing the Gazans. Correct me if I'm wrong #4.

While Israel has to protect its people from the rockets, retaliation on the Gazans (but not on Hamas leaders & their masters in Iran) is not what will give peace negociations a chance to succeed. To let the most fanatic leaders the ability to sabotage any attempt at concessions for peace is a recipe for failure even if a partial agreement were to be reached with one Palestinian faction. The priority is to take care of the top troublemakers not the proxies which would gradually vanish without external material & political help.

While their is a system in development, and essentially ready for use, Iron Dome, it has limits. Also a major issue, is that many of these systems designed to shot down rockets are expensive. The fact is that each Iron dome counter missile costs more than 10 kassams at minimum. The other problem with ricocheting or attacking where the launch was, is that many of these rockets are launched on timers. So basically they drop them off, scurry off, and they launch. Also there is simply the issue that they are doing this from civilian areas, so this another consideration. However, I have to say at the moment, Iron Dome, along with pro-active measures, i.e. Cast Lead without the short changing of the operation would by far be the most effective measures.

These rockets are fired at open areas, and have a 99.9% success rate at hitting an open area. No-one injured, no property damage. #4 is right-just Israeli propaganda.

The Gaza zone is a study in grim, group psychology. These occasional "symbolic" rockets represent pure, raging fustration. One hardly needs to be a trained specialist to read what is at work there. They never had any desire to speak or work with the Israelis, yet they lack the means to honestly wage war on them, and are gut-afraid to make the effort after Operation Cast Lead. As a population, they are truly in a state of arrested stasis, and the launch of those rockets serve as the occasional "safety valve" of release for that raging, sour crew in a walled cage. Their pathology has trapped them like hamsters forever racing along on that Gaza running wheel. Like the Israeli govt., I've been waiting for the internal pressure to build to the point the cork blows off the bottle, and they collectively go after Hamas to free themselves from that awful, self-imposed reality.

It is really painful to live under constant threat from these Qassams, and it is not going to end soon. Prof. Moshe Shoham and the likes should put up a satellite-based weaponry in the sky to shoot down the Qassam into pieces and fire at the origin site simultaneously given the fact that siren system could identify the Qassam before it lands.

The factual evidence is very clear: Kassam rockets kill innocent civilians. The latest Palestinian war crime was last month when an innocent civilian farm worker was murdered. Why do the Palestinians and their supporters think that they can excuse their war crimes by lying? Qassam rockets have explosive warheads designed to kill people. Palestinian qassam rockets fired at Israel have murdered 16 innocent civilians so far - including Palestinian children. Talkbackers #4 and #16 are obviously liars. The question is are they dupes for palestinian propaganda, or are they trying to cover up for Palestinian war crimes (Goldstone said it's a war crime, not me).

I challenge you to come to Sderot where I will provide a qassam rocket for you to hold on a stage in front of tv cameras. We will then detonate the warhead. You think you will not be harmed because you claim they are "phony" rockets. I claim that your body parts will be scraped up and put in a coffin for shipment back to the UK. I bet you $10,000 you will be killed or permanently crippled by the kassam. If the rocket is indeed phony, then you go home wtih $10,000. If you are indeed killed, then the $10,000 you deposited in escrow will be used for the cleanup, the airfare for your coffin, and your funeral. Any leftovers will go to the charity of your choice. Or do you want to think twice about your statement, given that 16 people have already been killed by kassams and hundreds more wounded - like the kid from Sderot whose leg was blown off.
