who make them from different type of bean. the humus went to their heads, I reckon. they r barking at the wrong tree.
2. Now this is the kind of war I like
Ben ,   Chutzlaarets   (05.11.10)
If only! Bismillah! This was the only battles we engaged in. Lebanese Falafel is good. I prefer Israeli falafel, but when traveling, if there is no Israeli Falefel, than the Lebanese style still reminds me of home. Hard to believe that people who share with us a love for the same foods can't abandon the desire to kill us all. Put down your guns and let's share recipes! But alas, in Lebanon... they are too busy hating us, and each other, to stop and smell the chumus. (Not all.. but enough to keep the sad state of affairs as it is.) Peace, Falafel, with some lettuce, tomato, tehini and a plate of Chumus with a wee bit of schoog to you all!
3. Madness around?
Daniel ,   Israel   (05.11.10)
Good for citizen's hezlth from both sides! At list they will now shoot FalaFel balls to each other! Better than bombs.
4. We are not born to hate others by default Mr.
sami ,   Lebanon   (05.12.10)
After all what had happened from your side ,from aggression and distraction and daily threat to send Lebanon back to stone age ,being just neutral toward Israeli will seems to be not normal for self respect.Look at the history mirror first and have a self honest evaluation .We are not a Jew haters as your media try to present .Jews lived in Lebanon in peace till Israel was created and Zionism screwed their mind.
5. Israel must stay come and do not respond to provocations.

7. Palestinian Falafel version is the best ;)
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.12.10)
it is the best falafel you can taste . Palestinians from Tiberias, who took with them the falafel to Lebanon, that the words of my grandmother and not my words
8. To Sami from Lebanon
Ben ,   Chutzlaaretz   (05.12.10)
Sami, I never said Lebanese were born to hate Jews! I know that is not true. I have too many Lebanese friends to think that. However the sad fact is that the current leadership, what's being taught in your schools, on your TV and in your news is hate towards us. And if it wasn't for Israel, the hate between Druz, Maronite, Shia and Suni would keep all of you very busy. It is a great shame! Imagine for just one second what an economic powerhouse Israel and Lebanon could be together! Imagine for a moment a day when you could take the bus/train from Sidon to Eilat or El Arish just for fun. There was a time when we lived in peace. There was time when your Syrian masters didn't keep you controlled by a fake hatred of Israel. I hope and pray for the day you would accept my right to exist in my country and the day we can be brothers! Peace! Saalam! Shalom.
9. Your country?
John ,   Palestine   (05.12.10)
Hey Ben, I'm sure it is not your country. Needless to say that the name you have, Chutzlaaretz, does not belong to the area you are talking about! How peace would be possible if you steal the land and the rights of others?!!
10. John, Palestini
Ben ,   Chutzlaaretz   (05.12.10)
John, I stole Nothing! My parents Stole Nothing! If indeed you are an Arab native of the land of Israel, than you know that! Jews have been in our land for thousands of years. If your family was as well, than chances are you are decendent of Jews forced to convert at the point of a sword. If you like most who call themselves Palestinians are a decendent of those who came to enjoy the prospertity the Jews brought back to the land when they began to return en mass in the 1800s than you should thank us. We bought our own land back from greedy Arab and Turkish owners at super inflated prices. We fixed what these "owners" destroyed by years of neglect. We turned desert into forrest and brought commerce, culture, health and beauty back to our land. You were welcome to join us, we even begged you to be with us as partners, but alas you preferred our death over even equality let alone friendship! You evacuated your homes to allow the armies of Jordan, Syria and Egypt to try and kill us and then cried foul when they failed and you lost what you had. Too bad! You screwed up! You chose the wrong friends. Yet we still extend our hands to you and you throw rocks back and bombs back. Enough already! We are not going anywhere. This is OUR land. Join us in peace or leave! As for my name, Chutzlaarets is as it says, I am out of my country temporarily, but make no mistake as to what my country is! Please consider peace instead of hate. In 60 years, your hate has only made you and yours poor and miserable! It doesn't have to be that way!
11. to #9 hahahaha
ghostq   (05.12.10)
can't stop laughing, if you knew certain lokal cnaanit language you probably whould know what it means, it's sort of name of place, but you wont find it on the map. reall mystery. :P
12. John @ 9, with all seriousness,
leo ,   usa   (05.12.10)
where did you get an idea that Arab occupiers get to be indigenous to Israel and Judea? Or Lebanon? Or Syria? Or Jordan? Or Iraq? Or any 'Arab' state in North Africa? What makes you think that crumbling Arab empire belongs anywhere else, but Arabian Peninsula? Please, regale us.
13. Ben - Kol Ha'Kavod #10
Solomon ,   Bklyn   (05.12.10)
Your post is succinct and well written. And doesn't get into the hate (from both sides) that we see in much of these "talksbacks". Kol Ha'Kavod. I wondered how long it would take some of the talkbacks to trash a fun, wonderful, peaceful moment. Not long at all, as it turns out.
14. to #10 kol hakavod Ben
ghostq   (05.13.10)
lil correction it took more than 60 years for arab to hate jews, too many incident prior to the war they caused, Israel independence started when a BUS from Israeli city, traveld to jerusalem, the bus never arived to jerusalem cause the arabs on the way open fire on the busses, as a result 4 jews died and 15 injured some with serious wunds, the jews retaliated, and as result the war started, like many wars initiatives by the arab side. and no those ambush terrorists weren't jordenians.
15. It's time for Guinness to remove these records from its book
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (05.14.10)
No one in the world cares about Humus or Falafel records, except for a few chefs in the Middle East and their huge ego. Instead of continuing this useless Humus/Falafel war, the best way to end it would be by removing its relevance from Guinness. For all I care we can call it a tie between Israel and Lebanon, and go find something more productive to do.
16. no 6

Here,s a missing ingredient from this Lebanese cooking debacle,arsenic/rat poison ,and the missing recipients Na srallah and his Islamofascist cohorts ?
