91. Why even book in the first place?
tamar ,   tel aviv   (05.26.10)
What has happened within the past 8 or so month that hasn't been going on for quite some time? While I do agree with this editorial - for the life of me I don't understand why he decided now to get up on his high horse. Not booking in the first place would have been just fine. It seems like a bit petty. It's his loss.
92. The issue is obvious
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (05.26.10)
They couldn't generate enough sales here to fill a phone booth so the 'cancellation' and blame us for it. Still won't make a career. I hope he does stay away for the rest of his life.
93. costello...more then just a silly fool
will edwards ,   dallas tx   (05.28.10)
Yes, this article pretty much hit the proverbial nail on the head. Costello hasn't shown himself to me to be anything more then an empty headed upper class "new wave" bleeter. His social conscience is about as frivilous as his music is. No real substance at all. His little group of friends must think its hip to bash Israel. Count him as another one of the empty headed losers jumping on a band wagon.
94. castello doesn't deserve the attention he craves
anoynmous ,   bat-yam   (05.29.10)
I hope he will at least sing the right song to his NEW fans though.
95. costello article
m   (05.29.10)
Before he cancelled he was a 'has-been' now he's a 'dustbeen'.... i feel sorry for you Costello for being so ignorant!!!!!!!
96. Progressive countries!
Alan Brennan ,   Dublin, Ireland   (06.01.10)
Progressive countries do not engage in piracy. They do not shoot to kill. They respect the right to demonstrate. They allow access to medicine, food and building materials... but more than all these things they value diversity and human life. The world is watching Israel at this moment. The world wants it to be a partner for peace and a force for good. Israel can built that peace but not this way!
97. Just one word
Miriam ,   Israel   (06.06.10)
Brilliant!!!!
98. 13 Israelis killed by Palestinian rockets since 2001
Kim Uhn-chan ,   Korea   (06.07.10)
99. wouldn't you like to travel, work, marry etc. ?
Laura ,   Israel   (06.08.10)
I think the author is confusing Hamas terrorists and the Palestinian population, thus assuming that every person out there is an enemy supporting the murder of Israeli children. If "they try infiltrating Israel in every possible way", it may not be for the love of an Israeli ID, but like many desperate people in the world who would do anything (even sleep with the enemy) in order to have a future. Because in Gaza the question is not whether Costello is better than Elvis: the question is how to find a way to break through the barricade and get a life. Wouldn't you do the same if you had been dropped by the stork a few km South-East of Tel Aviv? I would. I would try to get free.
