31. :: Lieberman says...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (05.29.10)
“an attempt at violent propaganda against Israel.' We will not allow violation of our sovereignty”. Firstly nobody takes Lieberman seriously, he’s an idiot. Secondly the Gaza flotilla will not infringe on ‘Israeli sovereignty’ (if there was ever such a thing) as it will be entering the territorial water off Gaza which Israel has NO sovereignty over. Israel’s control over the territorial waters off Gaza is based on *military occupation* and belligerent military occupation confers NO sovereignty (see International Law and Israeli High Court rulings). The only provision under the Oslo Accords (which Israel has failed to adhere to) which grants Israel control is in regard to military security ie: Israel is entitled to take “measures necessary against vessels suspected of being used for terrorist activities or for smuggling arms, ammunition, drugs, goods, or for any other illegal activity”.

You are 1,000% right!
33. Sovereignty? HA!
Surfer Dave ,   Perth, Australia   (05.29.10)
Israel believes in one sovereignty only, no other nations have sovereignty. Israel can violate any nations sovereignty at will, witness the Dubai hit with the violation of many nation's sovereignty through the state fabricated forgeries. But, even more troubling, Israel claims sovereignty over GAZA? I thought this land was occupied, the UN's resolution that established Israel did not give "The Strip" to Israel. Lieberman is a monster. Evil at heart, a religious and racist bigot through and through.
34. Lieberman?
PaulB ,   Cairns Australia   (05.29.10)
The most viscious psychopath in a government of viscious psychopaths is worried about an aid flotilla. Sums up the pariah state of Israel in a nutshell.
35. Commandeer the ships
Eric R. ,   USA   (05.29.10)
Take them to Ashdod, and go through the cargo carefully - every single crate. If any arms are found, arrest everyone in the flotilla and jail them without trial.
36. Israel should mine the waters approaching Gaza and sit back
meir elazar   (05.29.10)
and watch. Israel should mine the waters approaching Gaza and let them know that they proceed at their own risk. After that just sit back and watch the fun.
37. #29-Only thing you served in West Bank was Erk Soos.

Birdi ,   Israel   (05.29.10)
Hey liar Resistor, the only ones who will sabotage the "goodies" is Hamas NOT Israel. "We dont trust you" lol are you on one of the ships?? come on big mouth, tell us.
39. # 16
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.29.10)
You got that right , Annie.
40. # 17 & # 18
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.29.10)
Kim,& Cherokee, read this & learn; The naval blockade has been imposed by Israel because Israel is currently in a state of armed conflict with the Hamas regime that controls Gaza. Under International maritime law, when a maritime blockade is in effect, no vessels can enter the blockade area.
41. # 29 in disgust
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.29.10)
As a "normal Israeli" I suggest you go join the flotilla where you will feel at home with your beloved buddies. SHAME ON YOU.
42. Nothing annoys Israel more than peaceful protests
Bruno ,   Haifa   (05.29.10)
They make it harder to react with violence.
43. Hamas is responsible for what happens.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (05.29.10)
There is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Convoys of trucks continuously bring food, clothing, medicine and other essentials to the population. Israel provides this aid even though the ruling Hamas regime calls for Israel's destruction, targets Israeli civilians with missiles, holds kidnaped soldier Gilad Shalit and indoctrinates its populace in Nazi-like hatred of Jews and Israel. Israel has imposed a naval blockade to help stem arms transfers to Hamas which uses such weaponry to attack Israeli civilians. Israel seeks to pressure the regime to cease its aggression. 44. You followed the script to perfection Israel
Michael Bovo ,   Bhaktapur Nepal   (05.30.10)
It makes no difference what you say or do Israel. The flotilla has won already. It was a choice of "egg on your faces or looking like brutes". Incredibly you've all handed both outcomes on a silver platter before the ships even arrive. Thank your Leiberman for that. Before you come out with the long knives and call me a terrorist, I'll confess already. Not because I've donated school supplies to Gazan children. No, it's for the simple act of eating Coriander. (A prohibited substance in Gaza thanks to your insane seige)
45. Massive Hasbara Failure
Adam ,   London   (05.31.10)
IS 2010 going to be worse than 2009 for PR for the nice little state of ISrael? Good start though. You can't win in this situation. Damage has already been done. Lose lose situation, funnily enough there's always a danger of that when you are a rogue criminal nation. Why do chocolates and crayons terrify you so?
46. Gaza and the occupation of Israel
Mishaal Udhailiyah ,   saudi arabia   (05.31.10)
Didn't Israel pull out of Gaza strip? Why the blockade? This only proves that Israel has always been and will be an occupying force in the region.
47. Will NOT Support Israel!
Esther ,   USA   (05.31.10)
How dare Israel claim the flotilla was violent. May I remind you there is footage that shows that moment your soldiers entered, they started shooting! Of course the people on the flotilla had the right to defend themselves...who would not try and put up a fight with any available items while someone is shooting at you! May I also add that this happened in International waters. Your country, or lack of country, had NO RIGHT to embark on it's actions. The United States is slowly coming to its senses and minimizing their support for Israel! I hope there are sanctions against your country! Killing in general is not right, let alone killing people who are only trying to aid people your country is oppressing is definitely not right.
48. Enough is enough
Daisy ,   New Zealand   (05.31.10)
The propaganda by Israel is pathological just like its leaders. I don't believe a word they say anymore. There is no excuse for their crimes. Shameful. Disgraceful. They will obviously sink to the lowest level and then expect us to believe their lies of justification. You cannot demand rights and stomp all over everyone else's- it is a sickness.
49. Torpedoes away.
Newman ,   Brisbane, Australia   (05.31.10)
The usual suspects involved here. If these lunatics wish to martyr themselves for arab-muslim-nazis then so be it. Sink the flotilla and machine anyone left afloat!
