#30 It was the British GOVERNMENT that did the betrayal, not the people of Britain. Never assume that any British govt, since the end of WW2 has spoken with a mandate from the British nation,& certainly not in the last 13 years!

The NPT Conference can call for anything it likes, but Israel, not being a signatory to this treaty, is under no obligation to allow inspections of anything. The treaty only covers signatories, therefore non-signatories are perfectly free to build nuclear weapons to their heart's content and don't have to answer to anybody about it. This is typical of these UN-sponsored talkfests - they demand that nations do things that they are not obliged to do. Israel should just give them the finger.
