31. Like Assad, I Really Don't Like These Guys
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (05.30.10)
I suggest that a few speed boats sail to the area, with machine guns on top, and manned by US Jews who are sick and tired of these leftist thugs. I will be one of them, and more than happy to board the boats. Like Assad (Syria) I really dont admire the IDF, but you know...
32. To Meir: I Agree Totally With Your Action
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (05.30.10)
To Meir: I agree with you totally, your idea is brilliant. Since the same leftist thugs won't consider Shalits imprisonment, detaining them until he is released just hits the spot. I would also seize the goods and boats and auction them off, to pay for Israel's navy actions and prison food.
33. Shame on Palestinians for choosing war over peace
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.30.10)
Face the truth, Salma. Palestinians chose Hamas and you got what you paid for. A little less corrupt than Fatah, but Hamas is a movement that wants war, not peace. This is not "humanitarian" aid, but simply propaganda against Israel. It's not even "pro-Palestinian" since all these dupes are doing is propping up the Iranian puppets who are running Gaza. If the borders are suddenly opened will the human rights of Gazans improve? Will the minority Christians suddenly be protected from attacks by Islamic radicals? Of course not. Will women be free from the scourge of being murdered to protect "family honor"? Of course not. Will Hamas sit down with Israel to negotiate a peace settlement? Of course not! Hamas leaders are on the record and have said time and time again that they will "never" make peace, and that their goal is war. Why should Israel agree to let that war happen just because some well-intentioned but very gullible leftists want to make a point?
34. #28 Palestinian blame game, Salma A++
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.30.10)
Palestinians take no responsibility for their failures, their pitiful stateless existance and their "extremely" poor leadership. Easier to blame Israel than roll your sleeves up and take responsibility for their future. Salma is true to form. Meanwhile, back at the ranch in Gaza; Palestinian terrorists continue to fire kassams and bombs at Israel while their apologists bark about blockades. 65% of Gaza is unemployed yet the weapons smuggling business is booming. Haniyeh sails on Flotzilla instead of staying home to create job programs for Palestinians. He knows poverty and unemployment are good for world sympathy. Women in Gaza elect not to work which means 50% of the Gaza population is not expected to contribute financially. Palestinians in Gaza do not practice family planning. They average 5-6 children even though they cannot afford to feed them. Gazans also understand there's a regional water shortage. They complain about the water shortage but continue to have large families. Palestinians do not deny use of terror against Israel. In fact, they're proud to bomb Israeli towns, cities and villages. They know full well the Israeli response will be to fire missiles back at them, set-up walls, blockades and checkpoints. Still, we never see Palestinians protesting use of terror or the misuse of power by their own leaders. We also never see them demanding improved living conditions from Hamas and Fatah. They're afraid to complain to their leaders so they blame Israel for all their problems. Salma illustrates this perfectly.
35. Yeah, RIGHT!
Roy ,   USA   (05.30.10)
Would you please tell that huge Israeli commando with the Uzi that he's not allowed on board our ship? I don't think so....
36. #34 Cynthia, Question please
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.30.10)
Was there will be Hamas or Fatah, if "Israel" did not exist??! In all cases "Israel" is the accused No. 1,Whether you like it or not.
37. Gideon in Haaretz today is right!
Mikael ,   Europe   (05.30.10)
Many of you has difficulties to accept the metaphor of Israel being childish, meaning a mean child. Believing that well formulated lies goes for truth, also incapable of true empathy in its world of self-righteousness. I would claim it to have a mental age of 5 years. Yes it becomes silly when the child try to play together with grownups, not knowing what is missing.
38. #36 So you agree Salma A++
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.30.10)
Throughout Israel's history, the Palestinians have failed to put forth a leadership committed to development of a functional Palestinian society. The priority has been to harm Israel, neglect Palestinian needs and blame Israel for Palestinian failure. The truth hurts.
