NYC Girl   (05.31.10)
What a load of crap. Fortunately, the Israelis have learned not to wait around for God to come to their rescue. The Holocaust taught a lot of Jews that nasty lesson. And, anyway, who needs God when you have the IDF?
62. To: No. 49
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.10)
You are right. They came looking for a fight. Humanitarian activity was the LAST thing on their minds -- just look at the number of weapons that were found on board these vessels. Peaceful purposes indeed. What a joke! Well, as usual, Israel kicked some serious ass. We're kind of good at that. Especially when provoked beyond measure. Bring it on. Bring it on. We'll match them and go several better. Haven't they figured it out by now? Probably not too smart, I guess ..... just another advantage in Israel's court.

Kudos to you for a brilliant post!
64. To: No. 57
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.10)
Oh, I don't think so. A tiny fraction of Israel's available military power spanked Turkey royally. Ouch. Now go stand in the corner and learn your lesson not to ever try it again. Next time .... it won't be just a spanking. Trust me.
65. was it really nescesarry?
thommy ,   germany   (05.31.10)
the question is if it was unavoidable not other land would the ships let sail there and israel gave them the option with ashdod but anyway its a question if it wouldnt have been possible without killing people if they really shot on israeli soldiers its sad but it happened but the israeli army should have been more careful
66. NO REGRETS PLEASE!!!
Hertzel ,   Tveria/USA   (05.31.10)
I plead with the leaders of Israel to stop appologizing!! These scum deserved all and more of what happend, the ship #6 was full of a different type of people. In the VIDEO I CAN SHIEK RAAD the leaders of the north brnach of pal. terror in Israel helping his friends the terrorist on the floor, I can recognize him by his white cap. This man had called for the demise of Israel many times and is working from within Israel on a revolt against it, he can do all this cause Israel is too democratic. Even in the US he would be put in jail for 30 years by now. Israel's democratic system is the terrorist best weapon, and it is part and parcel of thier strategy.
67. #57 you are wrong
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.10)
This is once again proof that Israel's Left is wrong. As long as Israel holds onto liberated territory, Israel is safe. Everywhere that Israel abandons to the Arabs not only becomes a center for exterminating Jews, but the world denies Israel the right to defend herself. Hopefully, Netanyahu will fire the incompetent fool Barak and continue liberating Judea and Samaria from the Arab colonists.
68. Information
Gaia ,   Israel   (05.31.10)

69. The terrorist tourists got what they...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.31.10)
wanted... I hope for a quick and complete recovery of the injured IDF members.
70. :: The Ynuts have got their wish
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (05.31.10)
Well I hope all the Ynuts are happy now, for days before this murderous spree they have been calling for these ships to be torpedoed and sunk and the IDF to come down heavy on the civilians aboard these ships. Now that their homicidal wishes have come through let them revel in the international condemnation of Israel, let them marvel at the utter destruction of Israel’s already battered public image. Let them sleep soundly knowing that Israel is, yet again, perceived as the brutal and murderous aggressor in its war against civilians. With Ynuts like this one really has to wonder if Israel needs anymore ‘enemies’.
71. Reply To 64
FRH ,   Palestine   (05.31.10)
I believe Isreal should have first learnt their lessons from 2006 before suggesting Turkey to learn a lesson. Anyway, I think Turkey has learnt never to support or trust Isreal. To all whom passed away today in the Mediterranean in attempt to endup the civilians toture in Gaza you are true heros.
72. holocaust surviver
bill posters ,   london   (05.31.10)
Did you kill him ? Also to whoever it was above. I have read londonstani, well i started to, it was drivel and I quit! If its of any interest, i live in an area with muslims, hindus, shikhs, christians and some, I am not going to pretend a lot but some jews. chinese, asian, polish, russian, portugese and good old fashioned cockneys. The only time we seem to have any trouble is when some toss pot racist comes along to stir things up. I like living like this, give a try, it certainly makes for a more colourful existance.
73. humanitarian relief
shaul ,   farrockawaynewyork   (05.31.10)
israel should keep these people in confinement for as lomg as it takes till gilad shalit & jonathon pollard are released after all isn't that what they stand for HUMANITARIAN RELIEF
74. Our excellent IDF
mssavion ,   houston, usa   (05.31.10)
I recently visited Israel's military cemetery, and cried over the thousands of graves of the young soldiers who gave their lives defending the Jewish State...Thank God that since 1948, Jews have a place where they know they will be protected and welcome. Only one little state, and the world must see how we will fight until our last breath to keep our people safe. God Bless the IDF, now and forever. We are behind you, and we in the USA support you 100%. Sending money to the IDF soldiiers is something we all should do. They protect Israel. WE NEED TO PROTECT THEM!!! AM YISRAEL CHAI!!!
75. Ali from Turkey
Alex ,   NYC   (05.31.10)
If Israel lost one of its supporters in MIddle East, it's because the prime minister of that "supporter" made a calculated decision to do all he can to kill any friendship between the two countries. I mean, Muslim Brotherhood from Turkey were allowed to organize this stupid flotilla; i'm sure Turkish government knew full well that these people would not be allowed to Gaza. This is just one additional attempt by Erdogan to put more nails into the friendship coffin. After the last incident when 2 Egyptian border control soldiers were killed by "peace activists", Egypt would not allow these morons on its territory.
76. israel murd
world wide citizen ,   obamastan   (05.31.10)
i have a question or 2 1- why would peace keepers with aid bring weapons 2- countries like iran are calling israel barbarians -- do you see some irony?
77. pr
world wide citizen ,   ny ny   (05.31.10)
avi, question for u, i was in ny for 9-11 and wonder where you were because when they show the extent of bombs and weapons on those ships, u can think back to, what if only we had blown up those planes 'so many miles' from US territory...
78. To Ali nr 57
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.31.10)
I will teach you the fundamentals of the English language even if your frequent Turkish drug abuse prevents Turks from thinking rationally. Speaking on the subject of loosing and winning. Loosing means there is clash of interests and one does not reach one's goals - the other side did. It means you lost. If you did get what you want and the price you had to pay is less than the actual outcome which was advantageous to you, it means victory. Israel stopped them, and seized the weapons of the not so peaceful "peace activists" and blocked foreign intruders from foreign states. Israel succeeded and the Arabs/Turks/Greeks/Spaniards, British lost. In other words: Israeli victory and non-Israeli defeat. And Ali, please get over yourself. What use do we have of an ally that has committed mass murder and genocide on Armenians, Kurds and Greeks? And what use do we have on a backward, underdeveloped "ally" that conquered Israel, M. East and the Balkans for centuries and stood outside the gates of Vienna and even entered Ukraine, Russia and Poland? And who needs an Islamist Turkey anyway? Get lost, smoke some hashish and get high and be happy.
79. barak
alexi   (05.31.10)
What is it with this guy? Camp david sellout like olmert, lousy withdrawal from lebanon,no response to ramallah lynching of idf soldiers, tagging along with olmert and doing little about hamas rockets and now overseeing a naval raid of a bunch of pussies. ''We were expecting a bit of protest but not a lynching by 600. What do you mean you didn't expect? You expect the worst, you go in force, use gas, have guns and batons ready and you beat the hell out of any who start up. Moral army, chosen people you make me sick. Go in strong and then you won't have to use much force. Barak has to go and h e has lost his nerve.Go viisit olmert in jail when he gets there. I have urged israel to bring in yaalon to replace barak who is no good at overall planning. He is a commando and performs only at that level.
80. #35 Abu Ali
Mae White ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.10)
I would hardly call the sailors on these ships defenseless or unarmed. They had guns, knives, metal bars, bats, etc and tried to lynch the Israelis. The rest I'm afraid is pure propaganda.
81. #47 Margie
Mae White ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.10)
Please try to check your unbounded hate! These "humanitarians" came fully armed, tried to lynch the Israelis, stabbed, tried to throw the Israelis overboard. It was all just a PR move by Hamas, whose sterling ceredntials as peace lovers you might want to check.
82. Sarah B
bruce ,   seattle   (05.31.10)
Amen! This entire situation is an obvious attempt to discredit Israel. May those "peaceful humanitarians" burn in hell.
83. # 81
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.31.10)
An IDF soldier was thrown overboard by some of the "peace loving" activists.
84. # 77
Birdi ,   Israel   (05.31.10)
The big difference is, the US didnt know beforehand that the planes were on a self-destruct ( & more)mission. Israel knew, well before that these "peace activists" were trying to break the blockade in Gaza.
85. For all the Israel bashers here
Moshino ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.10)
Just check the HUGE NUMBER of talkbacks in favor of the way Israel handled the issue and that suffices! Of course the US will not be against Israel. No other "civilized" nation will do much more than utter condolences just for the record. They didn't do anything to stop this in first place. They stood by and watched as Israel was crying out for international intervention. Arab/Muslim nations will condemn Israel, but who cares??? The truth is on our side. Am Israel Chai!
86. the real regret
Jim Mooney ,   Apache Junction, AZ   (05.31.10)
He should express regret for a totally bungled Rambo operation that gave his nation an international black eye and will come to no good. Who planned this- George Bush?
87. poor Gaza when will may it ever end RIGHT ???
M. S. ,   mpls america   (06.01.10)
I realize once again Gaza suffers the ultimate night mare of war when may it ever end Israel certainly should have realized with 600 passengers violent reaction is to be expected they should have handled it differently poor planing up on their own part injured 5 and or 6 Israeli soldiers a real shame and so many of the Palistenian supporters it should have been avoided RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
88. israel image boosted
peter42y ,   lisbon, portugal   (06.01.10)
Israel image was further boosted abroad. With such victories israel might became like Iran , a pariah state . Israeli political leaders ( Livni , Barack, Netaniau , Askenazy seem intended to completely isolate israel and turn it into a pariah state ). Barack , Livni supported Gaza invasion , Netanau supported Hamas leader assassination in Dubai , now Barak strikes again and does score another hit against israel image. With such leaders israel is doomed
89. flotilla-raid
