1. Its a media war and we know at least the BBC is involved in
rachel ,   usa   (05.31.10)
the fight . Israel better get on the ball .....This is ridiculous ....where are the cameras? not blurry pictures .....Part of war is to ruin the reputation of the enemy and the whole world won't care when they is an attack . We keep on saying never again ...but its happening again ...wake up ...enough is enough ......

3. Opportunity to be Evenhanded
Liz Wagner ,   Sleepy Hollow, USA   (05.31.10)
If Obama truly wanted to be evenhanded, he would tell Europe & the Muslim world to stop their howling for Israel's blood. The incident is described as an "attack" by Israel when, in fact, the "humanitarians" on the flotilla attacked the Israeli soldiers.

5. Here are the facts
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.31.10)
1. Iran is desperate to distract Israel. 2. Turkey is Iran's great new best friend (yuk!). 3. The Turks were behind this "humanitarian endeavor," no matter which pathetic European dupe they put in charge. 4. Israel spanked Turkey. Really, really hard. 5. Israel served notice on the world that it will not be trifled with. 6. Oh -- by the way -- what kind of "humanitarians" act with violence and carry weapons and other contraband aboard vessels supposedly carrying exclusively humanitarian relief? 7. No matter what spin anyone else chooses to put on it, the fact remains that Israel acted with great discretion, with great concern for life and fully within the parameters of international convention. It's kind of hard to pull the wool over the eyes of Jews. You'd think the world would have figured it out by now. Guess not.

7. "humanitarian'--bullshit
Shoshi ,   Galil Israel   (05.31.10)
There no people starving in Gaza--there are people starving in Africa. But its much more popular to agonize over Gaza since its simple anti-semitism--Jew hatred pure and simple--hat motivates most of Europe. No country permits its borders, land or sea to become ownerless. Many ships have been stopped filled with weapons in the past. The only thing that Israel did wrong was to send the troops in to talk-without weapons drawn. We are condemned no matter how 'humanitarian' we try to be. So our only concern should be the safety of our own boys. The so-called humanitarians came armed with clubs, knives and guns. It is possible they were 'sacrifice' troops who were not told that they would be faced with a real army. The terrorists do sacrifice their own people. They use children, they use retarded teenagers, they force 'adulterous women to be suicide bombers. Those who really care about starving people have populations in the States who need help now. Not to mention Africa with its war and drought produced famines. There are millions of people all over the world who don't have the standard of living that the Arabs have in Gaza. Wake up and find the facts or be used as pawns by the fat wealthy sheiks who are laughing at you and at the poor among their own people. No
8. Sure hope this means the end of the "peace process".
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.31.10)
The "peace process" is such a fragile fraud, it can only survive on endless Israeli concessions. The moment Israel take any action to defend herself, the "peace process" is endangered. To complete the circle of insanity, the "peace process" is intended to render Israel indefensible and ultimately uninhabitable. One can only wish this incident ends the incredibly dangerous fraud called the "peace process".
9. GET THE FACTS? JUST LIKE THE FACTS ON THE BP DISASTER?
stude ham   (05.31.10)
BO had no excuse for being so ill informed as to what really took place and is continuing to take in his gulf backyard. so for BO to ask Israel for the facts is way overpresumptuous.
10. Obama is looking where next to attact Israel
Tomas ,   US   (05.31.10)
The chief muslim in WH is again looking where and how he can attact Israel. Only the "usuful idiots" the American Jews don't regognize enemy when they see one.

12. Israel may be "popular" with the US lawmakers, but...
Persian CAT ,   USA   (05.31.10)
that's where the popularity stops. Israel is increasing LESS popular with the American voter, Arlen Specter's defeat in Pennsylvania is only the sample of how the "Jewish vote" has become useless. The American people have realized Israel interests in may places directly oppose the US national interests. The American people have seen the Apartheid regime for what it is and they are sending Israel and its supporters appropriate responses.

I wish Obama cared as much about the U.S. being overrun by Illegals as he does about punishing Israel.

17. #12 Blah,ha,ha,ha. Shows how ignorant you are.
Naomi ,   Pittsburgh, PA   (06.01.10)
Turn coat Specter was NEVER going to win his re-election. He's an 80 yr. old turncoat who only had his personal interest in mind, and we here in PA. were never going to forget that either. We here in America have been viewing the tapes of the Israeli raid of the terrorist ship and we have all seen how the IDF was attacked FIRSTt by these so called 'peace loving people'. What a load of crap. Typical of terrorist muslims though. We here in America are applauding the IDF and do FULLY support any further action they may need to take, however sever that may be. As far as American sentiment to Israel is concerned, it is stronger than it has ever been. Without the funding of a great Jewish mans help in defeating the British, there may very well not have been a United States. Thank you Hiam. For that reason alone, America will forever be tied to the hip of Israel. And no one, not even your dememted self, can ever put a stop to our very proud and loud loyality to Israel. Go bark up another deluded tree oh persian pussycat!!!

19. #14. No doubt about it.
Persian CAT ,   USA   (06.01.10)
But ones you "talk 2" don't hold the same views as the mainstream American voters. Those Americans that "stand firmly" by Israel no questions asked and support ANYTHING it does, are certainly in the fringe of mainstream American thinking that emphasizes leveling the playing field, fair play and justice. Israeli policies have inflicted heavy damage to the US national interests by committing illegal acts and war crimes only to have the US save it from one crisis after another publicly. Each time the US saves Israel from self-inflicted damage, the US loses credibility and influence. The US political machinery is way behind where the American people are standing today. Israel needs to pay close attention, or...
20. ***Sarah***, You put the facts together...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (06.01.10)
You described the new axis of evil in the making, which has now come to live... Turkey has become a lackey of the mullahs (maybe the two apeman are fond of each other) and will prove to become increasingly dangerous to Israel. The Turks invaded Cyprus and maybe they feel some nostalgia for the time of the sultans...The time may also come when their silly asses must be kicked really hard...

Good post, Naomi. Thanks.
