1. Correct decision!
Reuven ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (05.31.10)
Thanks Mr.Lieberman! Don't be too emotional like Erdogan! It's your time. Good luck!
2. Enough
sam ,   colorado   (05.31.10)
I think that this ruling elite today for Israel will pay this State into the abyss
3. no enthusiasm over negotiations even before the sail'LOL
Alan ,   SA   (05.31.10)
I like his good bland humour! Its quite true of course Soon they will say no talks because the football in SA was fixed by Mossad
4. #1 Reuven, you're right.
Alex ,   Greece   (05.31.10)
Politician can't be too emotional. I think, i'ts time for Erdogan to apologize before Mr. Lieberman and send him little gift.
5. Don't know much about Lieberman
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (05.31.10)
but so far most of his statements were dead on.
6. Sever Ties, Trade and Tourism with Turkey
Avi ,   Miami, USA   (06.01.10)
The Turkish government launched the flotilla and that was an act of agression against a friendly nation. There will never be ties with Islamic-AKP Turkey. Israel should bar its citizens from travel, close its Embassy and sever all ties. Turkey is the agitator in the mid-east and should be recognized as such.
7. If Turkey has any honor.....
(06.01.10)
If Turks really believe all this BS they spread against Israel, they should sever all ties to Israel perminantly and be like Iran, Syria, Lebanon. Do it, don't be hypocrites back up your accusations with actions.
8. Turkey
john ,   USA   (06.01.10)
Turkey should break diplomatic relations with Israel if it has the cohones. Israel should do so first unless its government is too greedy. Israel stop kowtowing to the historical war criminal Turks!
9. Eloquent & Direct
David P. ,   Capitola, CA   (06.01.10)
what more could one ask for?
10. wrong! ths provides cover to erdogan who intentionally ....
bvernard ross ,   st anns bay jamaica   (06.01.10)
...sent this turkish ship full of armed thugs in order to provoke this exact incident. erdogan was the only one to know the outcome because he set the plan. Lieberman is giving cover to this murderous despot who seeks to use these incidents to cement his power at home and wipe out the remaining turkish opposition. Can no one see the method to his madness. It is a typical ruse of rising despots.
11. IL Ambassador Likely To Be Thrown Out Anyway
mavigozler ,   Ankara, Turkey   (06.01.10)
I am watching the nonstop coverage on Turkish news and even general television channels. There is a hysteria being whipped up on this, and unless the IL ambassador likes an endless stream of insults and always having to look over his shoulder, I would get out of dodge for a long while. He might be thrown out anyway, since the TR police may not want to use manpower to protect him.
12. Every Country
George ,   Myrtle Beach, SC   (06.01.10)
Any country in the world that actually allows an Israeli diplomat should put them on the next plane out of the country. A complete embargo and blockade should be placed on Israel immediately until Gaza blockade is lifted and every soldier and settler is removed from every inch beyond the green line.
13. In afew hours Turkey will declare Israel's Ambassador:
Ibrahim ,   Ankara   (06.01.10)
Persona Non Grata This is usually the case with the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs....Let's just hope everything gets back to normal as soon as possible. This isn't good for both countries. Some third-parties and sitting back and enjoying whats going on...but their joy will not last. Turkey and Israel will kiss and make up very soon to the dismay of these third parties. Our relationship is much stronger.
14. suspend ties with Erdogan's Turkey
max   (06.01.10)
this was a deliberate provocation by Erdogan. Clearly establishing where things stand instead of playing this stupid game with Erdogan will make things much more clear. Erdogan is leading Turkey down the path towards Islamism. If he loses an election to a Kemalist party, he will likely nullilfy the vote. The man is just another Chavez. We can tell the Turks that we will look forward to relations when a pro-Kemalist comes back to power. Meanwhile, the Europeans and Americans know that they cannot rely on Turkey anymore anyway. Better for Israel to call a spade a spade and move on.
15. #11 Turkey taken over by savages
Lina ,   US   (06.01.10)
16. #12 Yes, we will do all that you wish...
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, israel   (06.01.10)
when America set the example and lifts the blockade of Cuba AND tears down the border fence with Mexico freely allowing any Mexican free access to anywhere in USA for any reason or purpose AND retreats from Texas returning it to Mexicao from whom USA stole Texas, then we will do what you ask.
17. We should recall our ambassador over provocation
Noa   (06.01.10)
We have nothing to hide and nothing to fear, and if a country thinks it can openly try to frame Israel it should be corrected. Call the ambassador back!
18. Diplomatic ties will be cut with Turkey
Chris Linthwaite   (06.01.10)
It is just that Lieberman will wait for the other side to do it so Netanyahu can go running to the White House like a sucked pig. Israel is in the deep stuff, Lieberman is playing it down, but another flotilla will try to break the siege on Thursday.
19. terrorists using and exploiting peace activists
es   (06.01.10)
Israel repeatedly offered the flotilla organizers to land in the port of Ashdod, and to transfer their aid to Gaza through the existing overland crossings, in accordance with established procedures. The flotilla organizers rejected this offer, stating clearly that "this mission is not about delivering humanitarian supplies, it's about breaking Israel's siege." (Greta Berlin, AFP, 27May10).
