32. #2 Another useful fool fortune teller
Truth from ,   Netherlands   (06.01.10)
Nice to know that the ship named after another useful fool is at sea and maybe sinking too at some stage. Yes, it is hard to predict when it will arrive, but one thing is clear, it will not manage to illegally break the legally declared blockade on the Terrorist Area of Gaza. Israel made it amply clear that it won't tolerate any act of war from any nation or any terro-supporting organization. I will start believing in your "humanity" when you organize convoys of people to Gaza to demand the Hamas Terrorist Organization to release the KIDNAPPED Israeli citizen, Gilad Shalit. Techincally Gilad Shalit is not a soldier anymore of course. His three years of mandatory army duty are over so now Hamas are holding a kidnapped Israeli civilian without access to Red Cross, letters from family, independent medical care and Lawyers (oh, forgot: there is no law in Gaza). So if you want to convince me of your "humanity" and concern for "human rights", you should act and talk just as forcefully for the release of another human being, who was kidnapped from Israeli soil in a coward terror attack. You should fight forcefully and publicly for his immediate and inconditional release even if he is a Jew. But I know you won't do it: you are not a "human rights activis" - you are a pro-Palestinian activist, and that changes the whole picture. You have no right to preach to Israel what to do and what not to do because you represent Israel's enemy. You do not represent universal "human values" - you are a simple racist, supporting anything that demonizes Israel just because it is oh, so fashionable to hate Jews. In my (international) eyes, you represent a documented terrorist organization which makes you a terrorist supporter or, in the best case, a pathetic anarchist. In other words, irrelevant.

35. Here is the International Maritime Law AGAIN
The Doc ,   Travelling the USA   (06.01.10)
for those who missed it in other, previous posts: I am quoting from another poster, and after double checking facts. Google for it and you'll see how much lies are israel and Jew haters are spreading, counting on peoples' ignorance and laziness to check facts. Here is the quote which is a quite accurate summary: "The claim by the supporters of Hamas and enemies of Israel, (which include these four "Israeli lawyers") that the seizure of the enemy flotilla was illegal under international law and, in particular, the U.N. Convention on the High Seas have no legal basis. First, Article 86 of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the High Seas specifically excludes from its application any portion of the sea that is "included in the exclusive economic zone, in the territorial sea or in the internal waters of a State..." This seizure took place within Israel's exclusive economic zone. Second, nothing in the 1982 Convention applies to war nor did it alter or amend long-standing international law doctrines in place since Roman Times, in particular, the law of contraband and the law of blockade. Under the 1854 Declaration of Paris, a blockade must be maintained by a force sufficient really to prevent access to the coast of the enemy. The Turkish demand that Israel allow the Hamas flotilla “free passage” to the Gaza port must be understood, in this context, as a demand that Israel give up its legitimate right to self-defense by imposing the blockade in the first place. Third, in time of war, any belligerent has the right to blockade the enemy and possesses the right to board and inspect any ship, neutral or otherwise, which seeking to run the blockade to determine whether there is contraband on board the ship. Such boarding may be done ANYWHERE, including on the high seas, as in the case where U. S. and other ships seized a North Korean freighter carrying SCUD missiles 600 miles off the coast of Yemen a few years back. Fourth, under Article 59 of the 1949 Geneva Convention, Israel has the right to inspect all “relief” shipments bound for Gaza to ensure that what is being transported is, in fact, “relief” supplies within the meaning of the Geneva Convention. " Now take all your "piracy" and "attack" disinformation and slogans crap and shove it up you know where. NO SHIP HAS ANY LEGAL or "humane" MANDATE to break a blockade (ANYWHERE, especially in conflict areas and as far as I know, Gaza is a conflict area), unless the ship wants to be identified as an enemy ship and treated as such. If you want to pass "relief" to an area which does NOT lack food, water and much more than the basics for the daily necessities of the non-cobattant inhabitants - do it through the proper channels. If you want to initiate conflict - expect the worst. Let that MV MC piece of garbage and the hateful imbeciles riding in it, be warned!

Murat ,   antalya-turkey   (06.01.10)
it seems that the turkish and israel gouverments do have something in common. Both like producing crisis and both benefit from the crisis they produce. We folks are just those small lights they turn on and off. Don't forget guys: We all are the same. We were born, we live and we'll die one day anyway. No reason to kill eachother. .Shalom.

Halit ,   istanbul/turkey   (06.01.10)
This is not the first and I'm sure won't be the last.Because it is a mentality problem.Noone can explain to me about killing people whoose purpose is aim.Maybe they follow a different practices about conveying the aims but this does not mean they deserve to die.We believe the same God,although we have different ways about approaching him and I don't think God willforgive the people who is in charge of this black day.
41. #12 The answer is simple = Turkey and the ship attacked firs
The Voice ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.01.10)
Why, because, if you examine the International Maritime Law, it is illegal to try to break a legally imposed blockade - and the Gaza Blockade is LEGAL and supported by the (sane) international community (and Egypt). Sending the ships with armed "activists" on board, was the beginning of the act of war committed by Turkey. Actually trying to break the blockade was the act of agression comitted by the ships themselves, when they refused to change course and be escorted to Ashdod - the harbor nearest to Gaza, where the declared "relief supplies" would be passed through the proper and official locanand international channels, included but not limited to the UNWRA and the Red Cross. By doing so, the ships have identified themselves as enemy ships and, sadly, not treated accordingly, say, like the North Koreans or the Chinese (or even the Americans) would have done it. Instead of shooting warning shots and then crippling shots at the ships engines and maybe bridge (and kill a few of those "peace activists" impersonators in the process), Israel tried to treat them with simple and inadequate riot dispersal paint guns. Only when the 15 soldiers were brutally attacked and maimed with the intention to kill, Israelis changed the rules of the game and yet, only 9 of the attakers were killed. Remember, there weree 600 people riding Marmara and only 15 boarding soldiers yet only 9 attackers (not so "peach activists") were killed. I'd say that the picture is very clear. But I am sure that whatever Israel does - save from total submission and national suicide - is not good enough for its haters. Maybe Israel should care less about its attackers and more about its soldiers and citizens. Maybe next time, any act of war should be dealt a mortal and decisive blow. The blaming game and demonization won't change anyway - at least our enemies will be hurt and not our people! So the answer to your question is very clear: Turkey and the ships attaked first - TWICE: when they set sail and when the attempted to penetrate the blockade. Israel acted according to the Maritime Laws and within its natural and legitimate rights.
42. Pals can't accept Israel.UN will be sitting here again+again
Sam ,   Canada   (06.01.10)
For their next trick, the Palestinians will fire a suicide bomber dressed in a monkey suit through a cannon over the security wall. The UN will condemn Israel for endangering monkeys. These Palestinian stunts will occur again and again because the Palestinians can't accept a Jewish majority Israel and are looking for international sympathy. Whether its blowing up aircraft, sending suicide bombers or whatever, the Palestinians are seeking an Israeli response and then crying at the aftermath. The grovelling idiots at the UN reinforce this behaviour by giving the Palestinians a stage again and again.
43. UN unbiased investigation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

44. Thank you #35, I was giving up on intelligence here

bashing " international waters" and law but having no knowledge of the said laws in question. You would think people actually research and known international maritime law before shouting it off in the headlines. Thankfully some of us do.
45. With Bush, ...
dapperdanman, ,   Czech Republic   (06.01.10)
... we had an administration working hard to bring down an enemy dictatorship, a gang of thugs and ugly murderers. And Bush was hated around the clock and the world. With Obama, we have an administration working hard to bring down the goverment of a besieged democracy, which declares itself to be an aly to the U.S. And surprisingly, Obama is loved around the clock and the world. Indeed, change has come to America.

48. THEY CAME TO CHALLENGE ISRAEL'S POWER
tony   (06.01.10)
Israel should stop apologizing to anybody. The so-called activist came to challenge the authority and power of Israel. They are saying it boldly loud and clear. Listen to Berlin "two other ships are coming to challenge the Israel's blockade". This statement clearly undermines the authority and power of Israel, and the two ships should be dealth with immediately without any delay. They are boldly challenging the soveriengty of Israel and should be taken as such without delay. They are enemies of the State of Israel and should be dealth with accordingly.
49. #40 You are right! Turkey will pay the price
The Voice ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.01.10)
Those people did not intend to "aid" anybody. They refused to pass the goods to Gaza through UNWRA and Red Cross, like most of the international organizations do. Their repeatedly and publicly declared purpose was to break a legal blockade of a zone of war. IHH is a religious Muslim organization with deep relationship with Hamas, Hezbollah and Al-Qaeda. Their people do not seek peace - they seek the destruction of Israel, and I suspect that you do too, Halit. If the people of Gaza are hungry, why not send only cargo ships? Why send a ship with 600 people? Are they food? No Sir! Among the few fools that came along, there were active IHH, Iranian Republican Guards, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hezbollah operatives! By initiating and supporting these ships and especailly by sending these terrorists and terrorist sympathisers to violate Israel's rights and sovereignty, Turkey committed an unprovoked Act of War! And yes, Turkey will pay the price before history. And sadly for you, you will also pay the price by allowing a bullying and dictatorial government to rule over you. As you said "I don't think that God will forgive the people who are responsible for this black day".
50. #42 In the UN there are not many idiots - corrupt yes!
(06.01.10)
51. #36 Not exactly the same
The Voice ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.01.10)
Turkey was not provoked. Israel did not violate Turkey territory, or Turkish sovereignty. Israel did not attack Turkey at every occasion - like Turkey has been doing ever since the current government siezed power. It was Turkey which has been harrassing Israel for the last year, making friends with Israel's mortal enemies, and now, sending in terrorists mingled with a few EU fools, to violate Israel's sovereignty and seeking a provocation that brings yet another inhumane demonization of Israel. Now Sir - Israel did not seek anything with Turkey. It was Turkey which changed its strategy and politics - and its current strategy and politics is to hurt and attack Israel with any occasion, and make friends with the Iranian and Syrian dictatorships. There is no reason to kill each other, yes, but tell that to your government!
52. Hamas charter: Kill Jews
Prof. Mel Alexenberg ,   Petah Tikva, Israel   (06.01.10)
The “Human Rightists” with clubs and knives sailed to Gaza in support of a “peace-loving people” who elected Hamas whose charter reads: “Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims…. Muslims will fight the Jews and kill them; I indeed wish to go to war for the sake of Allah! I will assault and kill, assault and kill, assault and kill.”

You're an idiot! if peace activist want a fight than that's what they'll get. You call that defence....you truly are an idiot....keep your opinions to yourself!
54. WHEN WILL ISRAEL EVER LEARN ???.
Arn. ,   SWEDEN.   (06.01.10)
THE ONLY ONE YOU CAN TRUST IS JEHOVAH !!!. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW4OPRb4uTs The deputy head of Israel's mission to the United Nations, Dan Carmon, told the Security Council that "although portrayed in the media as a humanitarian mission delivering aid to Gaza, this flotilla was (not) a humanitarian mission". "What kind of Humanitarian activists demand to bypass the United Nations, the Red Cross, and other internationally recognized agencies? What kind of peace activists use knives, clubs and other weapons to attack soldiers who board a ship in accordance with international law?" he asked. "The answer is clear: they are not peace activists; they are not messengers of good will. They cynically use a humanitarian platform to send a message of hate and to implement violence." THIS WAS A SCHEME ORGANISED AND PLANED BY THE FORCES OF THE "OTHER ONE". THIS WILL INCREASE, AS CLOSER AS JEHOVAHS TIME FOR HIS WEDDING HIS ESPOUSE ISRAEL IN JERUSALEM WILL COME. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWSATpx7uzk ISRAEL FOREVER !!!. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlIJOAZ1pak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eSdop0rG7Y&feature=related BAT ZION FOREVER !!!. 55. :: #35 Hypocrisy & Irony
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.01.10)
I was planning to ignore this rubbish as it will be covered in the coming days/weeks by the mainstream media but as this nonsense was posted again I should really point out the following: 1) Israel has NOT signed or ratified the United Nations Convention on the High Seas (1982) 2) Israel has NEVER declared its exclusive economic zone (EEZ) 3) It has NOT been proven that these ships were in Israel’s *undeclared* “exclusive economic zone”. (so much for “double checking facts” by ‘The Doc’) I find it highly amusing that Ynuts try and use international laws which Israel has not signed up to as a means to defend Israel’s utter disregard for international laws! Ynuts may need to think about the hypocrisy and irony involved here... Either way all these facts and nitty-gritty international laws will be covered in the forthcoming UN investigation.
56. The UN is a tool of Islamist-Jihadism
Brod ,   USA   (06.01.10)
Corrupted and dominated by the Islamist-Jihadist world, the UN has become a tool of Islamist-Jihadism. They are irrelevant. The number one enemy of Israel, America and the Free World is Islamist-Jihadism. It is time the advanced nations of the world take control of the UN from the domination of Third World Islamist-Jihadist countries before they become a victim of Islamist-Jihadism.
