Everyone who defends this flotilla states that it is necessary due to the gaza blockade. The gaza blockade is there because Gaza is ruled by an internationally recognized terrorist group that was elected by the Gazan people. This same organization has it IN THEIR OWN CHARTER that their goal is to destroy Israel. This is why even Egypt has a blockade against this area yet no one screams at them for their illegal occupation. Anybody who posts on this boards from the United States and is in favor of sanctioning Israel or sides with the protestors has a very short memory. Lets not forget who was dancing on the streets when the twin towers were blown up. Lets also not forget which religion is responsible for the recent events in Fort Hood and the USS Cole and the shoe bomber and the lockerbie bomber and so on and so forth. Those who side with these people are destined to fall under their brutal regimes (much like in Gaza).

The whole world knows that the ships were carrying building materials to rebuild homes, schools & UN compounds bombed by Israel in Gaza. The ship might also has been carrying wood, steel or more lethal weapons such as concrete or paint to attack poor Israeli troops with.

Then they could have recorded it completely with their own cameras. So the attack in International waters is actually Piracy - no different than the Somalis. Since all on the ships were detained in International waters, the state of Israel effectively took hostages when they 'arrested' those on the ships and took them ashore - no different than Iran. I'm sure all recording devices and laptops 'confiscated' (stolen?) will be returned - nah, won't happen because it will contradict the official line.

In 1988 Arafat recognized Israel but it got the Palestinians nowhere. More settlements and land theft and brutality continued. So, just as Hezbollah was formed to resist Israeli occupation of Lebanon, so Hamas became a resistance movement. Israel has no one but itself to blame for Hamas. Without the occupation there would have no reason for Hamas.

Nice to hear from you, Ron. The only reason Israel allows minarete and burkas because they were already there long long time ago. The only miracle that they are not destroying them. As for Switzerland let me inform you that historically it is christian country with very well defined architectural style, which minaretes are not fitting in. These days those minarets are build from cheap aluminium and it really look ugly. Please visit us and see it by yourself. Nobody forbids moslems to build mosques without minaretes, and historically those minarets were build as a symbol of domination of Moslem religion in the territory they occupied. But again if some Moslems do require presence of minarets they can always go to Turkey, Saudi Arabia , Australia , Israel and enjoy their lives there. I can tell you nobody will because normal people could hardly get sweater life then here. If you enjoy sweat life here please respect the opinion of people who build it over 700 years and manage to maintain it over all those years.

This lousy propaganda makes me really laugh. I saw those pictures of knives posted on YNET. Some of them looked like a pocket knives, some knives for peeling potatoes, some good kitchen knives confiscated from the ships kitchen. They also had ropes, God forbid, on this ship.
