Regardless of Israel's continued good actions with Turkey, since Erdogan arrived the anti-Israel sentiment has only grown. I've heard from many secular Turks who don't exactly support Israel's actions but absolutely decry Turkey's new Islamist leanings and its racist policies against Israel. The humanitarian aid wasn't entirely altruistic and we found Turkey's fingerprints all over the true purpose of the flotilla. These activists stopped being civilians once they lifted a weapon - Turkish, Jewish, or Martian! The blockade is legal and until Hamas drops its declaration of war, it will not end.

As more information is coming out about how Erdogan's regime sponsored, subsidized, and helped organize this flotilla of terror, any international investigation should include investigating the Turkish government's complicity in committing international terrorism, violation of Israeli sovereignty, and the support of Hamas, which is an internationally recognized terror group.

I am a 60 year old American originally from Turkey. In the 1970ies and 1980ies there were many people missing in Turkey. Later many bodies were found buried inside buildings even mixed into the foundations and concrete walls. All of these buildings belonged or rented by the Turkish Hezbollah which is the predecessor of the IHH. Furthermore it is known fact that they are tied to Hamas. Thei leaders ar not shy of declaring it since the current AKP government also supports the notion that Hamas is not a terrorist organization. (PM Erdogan declared that a few days ago) I don't know what were your days at the UN but you have been misinformed on this matter.

The author is correct in asking Turkey to be investigated but it will not happen. Not because the allegations are not baseless which they are very strong and most probably true but rather not to upset the situation and make it worse. The goal is not to lose Turkey but rather to educate the ignorant masses in Turkey - if possible but not very probable - but more importantly to gain the Turkish intellectuals and secular, modernists and empower them.

Turkey must be investigated? I think I missed something. There were no guns, missiles or bombs on the ship. One of the activists even snatched one of the soldiers guns and could have shot him but didn't even though the soldiers had killed some of the crew. The Israeli government wont stop at anything to have someone else convicted for their crimes.
