Israel simply wants to put pressure on Hamas to stop the rocket fire and free Gilad Shalit. Under the laws of war, nations are allowed to blockade a territory, but Israel lets enough in to avert a humanitarian crisis.

I was surprised to learn that Israel didn't allow in crayons for children and jam and chocolate and jiuce. Seems weird to me, what can Hamas do with the chocolate against Israel?
