1. Will Gul let himself and his government be ivestigated too?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (06.11.10)
The loss of life was the result of Turkish governmental incitement and the inclusion of armed individuals in the flotilla. This was apparently supported by the government of Turkey. While they let themselves be investigated too or only vilify Israel?
2. 'Israel must act if it wants forgiveness'
gregg bowman ,   Parksville, Canada   (06.11.10)
Yes, it is true that Israel should probably forgive Turkey for their abject stupidity, manipulative political intentions and their total lack of anything even resembling intelligence, but first, Turkey must apologize to Israel internationally for their moronic and unsubstantiated abuse.....Yes, forgiveness is a good act! warm regards....Gregg Bowman
3. were those demostraters that were swinging clubs ....
Galut ,   Selah   (06.11.10)
sitting peacefuly on the deck? video pics are hard to dispute if the injured or dead had been sitting peacefuly on deck I might have more sympathy,,,but they were swinging clubs and steal rods with intent to do harm to the boarding Israeli commandos.... the confrontation was the intent of the demostrators therefore they are responsible for the deaths that resulted
4. Turkey and Iran in bed with al-Qaeda and Bin-Ladens in Iran.

6. There's a Difference; Several Actually
emanon ,   USA   (06.11.10)
Israel does not launch rockets at civilian targets. Israel does not hide behind human shields. Israel provides medical treatment for those in need . . . regardless that they are trying to kill innocent Israelis. Israel does not use homicide bombers to kill innocent people. Shall I go on or do you get the idea?
7. Why not lead the way by compensating the Armenians?
Daniel ,   Washington, DC   (06.11.10)
Amazing how easy making suggestions is..
8. The Dark Side of Turkey
Douglas Fireman ,   Niles (USA)   (06.11.10)
To not investigate the Erdogan government for their "evil intentions" regarding the Mavi Marmara mission would be unconscionable. The dead Turks are the result of the Turkish government's collaboration with the IHH terrorist group whose afilliation with Al-queda is well documented The government knew of the premeditated attack against the commandos by terrorists posing as peace activists. And the Turkish government must be held responsible. If there is to be any investigation by the United Nations, apology, or compensation to the families of the dead terrorists, then the Turkish government, the initiators of the failed attempt to run the blockade, should be the first in line. The Israeli commandos had every right to defend themselves from the so-called "peace activists" several of whom spoke of or dreamed of martyrdom prior to their ill-fated voyage. As far as breaking diplomatic relations, the Turkish bedfellows of Ahmadinejad should follow through on their threats, but better yet, Israel's government should be the first to sever diplomatic relationships with Erdogan and the Turkish Islamist deceivers who support him.
9. Turkey=Al kaida
James ,   london   (06.11.10)
After we, the european community kicked turkey's buttocks from all the stairs it had turn to the east: Iran + Al Kaida. They should be ashame to use such a cynic accusation against Israel while this country (turkey) is running toward radical islam. it is unbelivable hypocrisy . Israel - stay strong. (the sole sane voice).

13. Islam - imperialistic religion of war,hate,lies,racism....
Jaacov Baumann   (06.12.10)
Rational dialogue with moslems is impossible ! Moslems are driven by an imperialistic, violent, intolerant view of the things : they want to islamize the world at ALL COSTS. That includes lies, tricks, violence, war.....
14. TURKISH CRIMINAL ISLAMO-FASCIST LEADERS LOST WORLD TRUST
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (06.12.10)
THE TURKISH LEADERS ARE JOINING IN ISSUING IDIOTIC DEMANDS AGAINST ISRAEL. TURKEY'S LEADERS ARE BECOMING MORE HOSTILE VOCALLY AND SOON MAY BECOME VIOLENT PHYSICALLY, BUT THIS WILL BE USELESS. TURKEY'S CRIMINAL LEADERS ARE INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL FLOTILLA PLOT, BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER THIS EVENT. TURKEY CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED AND THIS IS A GREAT SHAME AND A GREAT LOSS FOR TURKEY. TURKEY'S REPUTATION HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY IT'S FOOLISH LEADERS AND NO HONEST PEOPLE OR COUNTRY WILL TRUST YOU NOW.

17. Thank you Gul
Danny   (06.12.10)
Every comment that comes out of your mouth or that or your PM and FM's mouth makes the Israeli case. Israel should distribute far and wide how the Turkish Islamic elite are portraying this.
18. Turks should play with fires
Frank ,   Canada   (06.12.10)
they are so awkward that is always backfires http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-I6TaJSNE4
19. #10 - US congress supports Israel, not Obama
William ,   Israel   (06.12.10)
You're just too high on the Pelosi kool-aid to see the world for what it is. If you listen real closely, you'll hear a lot of bashing of Obama...coming from in your own house.
20. Take the damn gloves off, Israel
William ,   Israel   (06.12.10)
Put a crack legal team together and gather all of the evidence you need to firmly slam Turkey against the damn wall in court. Show the tight lines between terror groups and Leftist orgs in Europe, and the hypocrisy of inviting Haniyeh to EU capitals while his group is on the Intl terror list. Go after them like a rabid dog, and sue for billions - the constant cost of security and the defamation of an entire people. Let heads roll in Ankara!
21. Gul/Erdogan & Co. behaving like Al Qaeda then accusing
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (06.12.10)
Israel for what Turks do. It sounds like Gul has blame the victim syndrome.
22. GUL IS A HYPOCRITE
Richard ,   Boca Raton, USA   (06.12.10)
The Turkish president Abdullah Gul should stop winning like a sissy to the international press about the bad boys in Israel. What a total putz and hypocryte he is. Turkey is responsible for the death of millions of Kurds, who only desire their own state of Kurdistan. And he compares Israel to al-Qaeda!! The muslim leaders in this region are full of talk and no action. Let's see Turkish (or Iranian) war ships accompany the next flotilla. Never happen because they know Israel is determined to "kick their ass" (thank you Obama) if they try. Will Turkey give compensation to the Kurds?
23. an unprincipled response
tom ,   toronto, canada   (06.12.10)
the similarities between israel and al-qaeda are unmistakable - for one thing, they both use guns. but what president gul chooses to conveniently ignore is that israel is a sovereign state, with borders and the right to defend its citizens, whereas al-qaeda is a rogue terrorist organization, which targets civilians. but it would seem that ganging up on israel is the fashion of the moment, and it is politically expedient for the secularist president of turkey to join forces with the islamist prime minister, in a little israel-bashing. apart from being somewhat insensitive to the facts, he is also a man of high principle, or rather, of high-priced principles. if the israeli blockade was unjustified, then he ought to denounce it unequivocally. but the fact that he is only insisting on fat compensation offers, shows his "principled stand" for what it is - a sleazy and corrupt bargaining posture. and if the israeli students go ahead and launch their own protest flotilla to bring aid to the poor, oppressed kurdish minority in turkey, we shall see, soon enough, whether turkey, like any other normal country, enforces its sovereignty or not. president gul may yet eat his own words...
24. it's about time
American ,   Los Angeles   (06.12.10)
for independent Kurdistan and returning of the armenian lands and recognizing the armenian genocide.
25. Turkey you don't need a pretext to cut ties.
(06.12.10)
Stop crying and just do it, don't wait for apology there won't be one.
26. While scope of blockade wrong, he is an idiot
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (06.12.10)
While I'm against scope of blockade and could someone explain how fruit juice and meat are weapons, I also think weapons blockade is needed. This guy an idiot since al-Qaeda would have sunk all the ships and then machine gun them in the water.
27. # 10
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.12.10)
You tell your president to stop going after Israel at very opportunity he gets, like every 2 minutes of every day since he sent that terrorist boat to try break the LEGAL blockade of Gaza. Your stupid president is behaving like a 2 year old, screaming on the top of his lungs, making a complete ass of himself.
28. # 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.12.10)
I agree with you Galut.
29. The gall of the Turks, Gull
joe   (06.12.10)
Gull, another worthless 'leader' joining the long line of idiots cluttering the world.
30. Stabbing?
sigalit ,   Tivon Israel   (06.12.10)
My dear Libneni, It is not us who nag, it is your cheap populist president, who systemsticslly has done evrything in his power for the past few years to severe relationship with Israel and move to fundamentalism! We have cooperated with Turkey for decades, the Jewish State even refraining from demanding from Turkey to admit the Armenian genocide (In my opinion a mistake). So stop complaining, let your president who initiated all this hug and kiss with Achmedinajad and Assad and see what will happen to your people... Europe seems further away than ever for you, for the world might have reacted too fast, but is not blind. Ataturk is turning in his grave at the shame you bring on your people!
