1. end genocide of Kurds
(06.14.10)
the time has come for Israel yo transfer defensive weapons to the Kurds. A good start would be all the weapons captured from Hamas on board the Karine and during the Cast Lead operation.
2. Erdogan can trust he will be the star in their report!
Ariel   (06.14.10)
This international provocator will see himself and the IHH leadership heading the report that will be sent to all western governments. He should have considered the consequences before sponsoring the incitement.
3. But of course....
Inyaki ,   Bilbao, Basque   (06.14.10)
The Turks do not believe a state may conduct an impartial probe because they project what they would have done on Israel. They simply do not understand how the state of Low functions.
4. Erdogan wants a good probe.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (06.14.10)
See a proctologist, they specialize in what you are.
5. A Wide Ranging Investigation...
leo ,   nyc   (06.14.10)
...is something Turkey doesn't want---it would reveal their role in instigating and supporting the mercenaries on board the "peace" boats...
6. Turkey, as it should, will be a subject of inquiry
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.14.10)
The inquiry, I trust, will enable us to know the role of Turkey and its hired thugs in whose pockets were found $10,000 each, money that all indications are used to pay these "peace activists" to attack with metal rods, chains and knives the uniformed policing members of the Israel Defense Forces when they stopped peacefully and lawfully the ships. Turkey, a Muslim but a non-Arab state, eager to be accepted as a leading state in the region after for all practical purposes it was told not to even attempt anymore to become part of the European Union, felt it had to create an anti-Israel provocation in order be viewed by the Arabs as reliable. So, the Jews, the Turks thought, could pay the price. Now, the inquiry committee, made of Israeli jurists as well as international ones, will share with us Turkey's distractive approach to international relations.
7. It is significant to note that of the six ships in the...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.14.10)
... flotilla, five, carrying supplies to Gaza and peaceful passengers from around the world, no violence took place when the ships were lawfully were stopped and diverted the port of Ashdod. The only ship on which violence took place was a Turkish owned and operated ship that carried no supplies to Gaza what-so-ever. The only cargo on that ship were people, led by emissaries of the same country that committed the Armenian genocide by systematically slaughtering 1.5 million Armenians - men, women and a lot of children; the country whose paid thugs have mass killed many of thousands of Kurdish people whose only crime has been that they wanted to apply the universally accepted right of self-determination and independence; and the country which sent its armed forces to occupy Cyprus and expel its Greek residents from the northern part of the country. Turkey, note, is still holding onto the northern part of Cyprus through its installed government there while refusing to allow its Greek residents access and return to the occupied part of the country. This is the Turkey that lead the "peace flotilla" to which some misinformed and naive people from abroad hooked up, only to become hostages in the hands of the Turkish hired thugs...
8. Erdogan should get out of Cyprus, my country, now
Dino ,   Cyprus   (06.14.10)
9.  Probe
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (06.14.10)
What a lot of nonsense, what do you expect the Turkish government to say. They are afraid that the truth will come out; they were in on the hiring of mercenaries as well as the loading of military equipment found hidden behind the sacks of flour aboard that ship. What can you expect from a government that refuses to accept responsibility for their holocaust on the Armenian people and sidles up to known ant-Israel regimes? The fact is that the world would be wise not to accept anything the Turkish government has to say in this affair. If they did not cancel the drone contract then Israel would have, no sense in selling good military hardware to a potential enemy.

14. #1 - genocide??
alp ,   turkey   (06.14.10)
What kind of a genocide is that I can't comprehend - Kurds are overrepresented in the Turkish parliament; even though Kurds are 15% of the population 25% of the representatives are of Kurdish origin. 2 of the Presidents were of Kurdish origin and numerous Prime Ministers. There have been issues in the past, part of it is due to wrong policies and part of it is due to the backward tribal culture Kurds have. Still majority of the Kurds in Turkey are nominal citizens of Turkey who live in western cities. Plus - significant majority of the dead over the last 30 years are due to the terrorist activites of PKK; they don't mind killing their own kinsmen if thet deem that they are pro-government. Make balanced comments - think before writing.
