Iran's use was pretty limited to mustard gas -- which is pretty primitive -- but to suggest that Iran does not have chemical weapons is not quite correct. They've used them; therefore they must have them. And they have gone to a great deal of trouble to insist that the use of chemical weapon within one's own territory is not prohibited by the Geneva Convention. Of course, the only interpretation possible for such a statement is that Iran would have no qualms using chemical weapons against the Kurds or any other segments of its population.
