peace-niks. the world and this ynet insists on calling those on board "activists". piece by piece eretz is being eaten up and it seems her own govt will not stop the attack. unite and fight. stop this silly "oh if we do this they will like us." stuff we have always been isolated, instead of fighting it, embrace it!
2. Victory? This is what victory means ....
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (06.21.10)
In the words of Prof. Barry Rubin, ''terrorist, genocidal, anti-Semitic, revolutionary Islamic statelet on the Mediterranean.'' Also, an Iranian client-state, abuser of human rights, the subversion of Egypt, cements the permanant division of Palestinians, makes a future military action inevitable. Some victory!
3. flotilla activists
eddie cress ,   south adrica   (06.21.10)
so now I see that ynet is promoting the flotilla by publishing a link to"End the Siege of Gaza" underneath this article. Why doesn't ynet just come out of the closet and say where the actually sand vis a vis Israel ?? or simply use anti Israel articles from al jezara..
4. WHAT VICTORY? Is there something I was
Israeli 2   (06.21.10)
missing? The easement is on building materials through land. Through sea there will still be a search for weapons and unpermissable material. They are NUTS if they call that a victory.
5. the victory is just more stuff not a solution
JO   (06.21.10)
an politics in Israel was going that way before all this happened. the violence was costly and unnecessary, and a sad useless loss of life. the weapons blockade is still in effect and will be for a long time to come . Hamas is an enemy entity of Israel, not the other way around.
6. And we should struggle until Kurdistan independence

8. Turkey's offer rejected
Monastras ,   istanbul   (06.21.10)
in 2004, A poll took place under UN in cyprus. The greek cypriots of %75 rejected this plan to be united called Annan plan but the Turkish cypriot of %65 accepted the plan. either you do know anything about the issue or only bash at turkey

our wonderfull PM,with his tuff talk.We will do this we will do that, its all fresh air.If we dont stand up to the blockade we are in trouble.Terrorist live on weakness and this is what Isreal is showing them.We are in trouble.
13. the worshipers of Baal are alive and well
daniel ,   israel   (06.21.10)
Pro-Palestinian activists lauding human sacrifice as a good thing. Nothing has changed; these idol worshipers will always challenge Israel's citizens right to life from Arab terrorism and send their children to definite suicide. Then they will say it is an "act of desperation" and humanitarian values are benefitting because of human sacrifice. Indeed.
14. These Are Terrorists, Not Peace Activists
emanon ,   USA   (06.21.10)
Only a terrorist would cite victory through death.
15. The thin edge of the wedge
sm ,   uk   (06.21.10)
These activists would no doubt be glad to see weapons reach hamas, as they're not concerned about rockets being fired into Israel. No concessions will be enough except a complete surrender. Brainwashed by the bias of the western media, palestinian / arab propoganda and their own ignorance, they just give 'activism' a bad name with their invented stories and support for islamic terrorism. Anyone who still has doubts just watch the footage of the 'flotilla incident', listen to the audio and compare with the activists own interviews!
16. How about a flotilla to Kurdistan...
Robert Renders ,   Belgium   (06.21.10)
17. Victory Victory Is Our Cry ... V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!!!!
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.21.10)
Can we beat them? Can you guess? Palestine Palestine YES YES YES!!! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 3rd in a string of stunning victories for the Arabs and Persians over the lowly Jews of Israel!!! Victory #! - Hezbollah defeats Israel. After a brilliant campaign that lured 30,000 Israeli troops into Lebanon and killed over 1000 Lebanese and left billions in damage - Hezbollah rightly pointed out that Israel had not killed a single Hezbollah fighter on Israeli soil! Victory #2: After tactical genius put the tips of thousands of rockets at the throats of Israeli citizens, Hamas won a brilliant victory over the IDF in Gaza by securing a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces outside of the Gaza graveyards and destroyed neighborhoods. Hamas brilliance showed that thousands of anti-personnel rockets can indeed defeat the mightiest army in the Middle East and release Gaza from under the boots of the IDF. That the Egyptians are also blockading Gaza for the past 4 years is a moot point that everybody is gladly overlooking, as it would besmirch the complete and utter victory of Hamas over the IDF. Victory #3: In order to break the Israel (shh, and Egyptian) blockade, 9 Turkish suicide martyrs showed that the blockade could indeed be broken, which is why Israel has totally broken down and will now allow spices and ladies underwear into Gaza unchecked by the IDF. Is Gaza open for business? Of course not. Is the blockade still in place? Of course it is. Did Hezbollah free a square millimeter of "occupied territory"? Of course the didn't. Brilliant victories one and all.
18. Victory?
PAL   (06.21.10)
You wanted the blockade lifted, that has not occurred, Hamas are not happy they see it as a ploy and want the blockade lifted. 7 dead Turks for some coriander. You have a warped view of success my friends. You fired your shot and now the chamber is empty, now the flotilla's are illegitimate and you failed to achieve your objective, even though it was a plan operation. They get more cement in Gaza Strip and Israel get more JDAMS. Hamas will do something stupid and Cast Lead Two will take place and everything that is rebuilt will be smashed. Psychologically it is like moving a pile of sand from one corner of the yard to the other, nothing achieved. You people are a joke.
19. to #16 since this morning a kurd civilian girl
ghostq   (06.21.10)
was killed, just curious did they killed any more kurds? I am kinda busy at the moment to follow.
20. Some victory
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (06.21.10)
Let’s examine this “victory” shall we. The Pals and their supporter’s primary goal with the flotillas is the end of the naval blockade of Gaza. Results: Naval Blockade tightened (with UN support) Support for future flotillas waning Turkey perceived as supporter of terrorists Credibility of “peace” activists diminished EU, UN, Western support for Pals slipping 9 “activists” killed For all their efforts the activists managed to get 9 of their own people killed and reinforced the perception that the Muslim world is blind with rage, out of control and not to be trusted. The threat of “thousands” of flotillas to follow has so far been reduced to 2 ships out of Lebanon steaming aimlessly around the Med. But it has not been a total loss. Bibi will allow 13 cases of product thru vs 10. Some victory.
21. #11 - reminds you of Arabs started wars, lose, then demand
William ,   Israel   (06.21.10)
Arab or not, Turkey shares the Muslim hubris mentality. Why would anyone be surprise at non-Muslims rejecting dhimmitude?
22. #8 - What were the specifics of the offer?
William ,   Israel   (06.21.10)
If the Turkish offer was anything less than withdrawing from occupied Cyprus and pulling back on Turkish residents who came after 1974...then of course they wouldn't accept it. Turkey illegally invaded and occupied Cyprus and dumped their citizens there in order to hold the land. Turn the clock back to 1973 and have Turkey compensate everyone for their mis-deeds, and then you'll have an offer worthy of consideration.
23. Another instance of terrorists' goals over lives
William ,   Israel   (06.21.10)
"Victory" until the last of you (Arabs) are dead. A Turk in the crowd: Yeah...yeah....wait..what????
24. #17 - and Egypt still celebrates the stunning 1973 victory
William ,   Israel   (06.21.10)
where they attacked a population of fasting, praying, sleeping Jews and pushed back the mighty Israeli army from Cairo and Suez Canal (with the help of the UN), back into the Sinai where they stayed for the next 6 years. This yearly "pat on the back" always makes me laugh.
25. Monastras - I know a lot about Cyprus
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.21.10)
1. Actually overwhelming number of Turks were not really in favor of the Annan plan. In fact Rauf Denktas was against it. When Mehmet Ali Talat became PM of Cypriot Turks he gambled on the idea that at any rate Tassos papadopulos would most likely reject it and the proposal would die, therefore he accepted it to look good. However to this daythere ar a few important issues about Cyprus that shames Turkey in the face of the world community 1. Opening the ports 2. Letting the people of Famagusta (MAGOSA) return to their homes 3. The fate of the thousands of Greeks who disappeared during the 1974 invasion. (Some Mass graves were found in North Cyprus last year but no investigation has ever been made) I am not trying to bash Turkey. These are the realities that's all.
26. #2, depends whose side you are on

28. #20 Flotilla Achieved its Objectives & More Coming
Nour ,   Palestine   (06.21.10)
You claim: "Results: Naval Blockade tightened (with UN support)" Is this why the EU called for an immediate and unconditional lifting of the siege in all its forms? "Support for future flotillas waning" Wow - where did you pull that one from? The last time I checked: A Lebanese Flotilla is leaving tonight. An Iranian one is departing soon, and Freedom-2 flotilla with 20 ships will depart in a few weeks. Another Flotilla organized by Viva Palestina says it will be 30-ship strong and will sail in August (Ramadan). I personally donated 100 dollars to freegaza.org. Support for this organization and IHH is skyrocketing. Your claims are unfounded and plain stupid! "Turkey perceived as supporter of terrorists" Perhaps that is the case among white or jew supremacists who label any opponents as "terrorists". They are helping us Palestinians recover our freedom and dignity. "Credibility of “peace” activists diminished" Are you sure about that? I think the peace activists (which your own government said made up 95% of the peace flotilla participants) have become heroes in the world. Just look at the way they were received in their countries. Perhaps the execption is the US which lost one of its citizens to your brutality without so much a fuss in the zionist-controlled media. "EU, UN, Western support for Pals slipping" Yeah, Obama gave Abbas 400,000,000 dollars, and Germany just commissioned its water treatment plant in Nablus with a cost tag of 35 million euros. More aid coming to the besieged and occupied Palestinians. Despite the odds, we won world support while your govts have been exposed as war criminals who can't even travel to europe. "9 “activists” killed "" And the result? The collective punishment and political blackmail campaign beaten to the ground. Nice try pal.
29. Turks and Kurds
ertugrul ,   Turkey   (06.21.10)
The kurds in turkey are not under the siege of turkish army. They have a lot of fresh air and land. They post the best places at private and state level. The people of kurds are very happy in turkey. Only there are a few kurdish terrorists who want to disturb this happiness. When an İsraeli Flotilla came to the southeast part of turkey, the people on flotilla can see the kurds in turkey are very happy. Because they have the advantage of living in Turkish Republic. "Peace at home, Peace in the world." M. Kemal Atatürk.
30. Hamas wants rockets in West Bank+Gaza not chocolate for Pals
Sam ,   Canada   (06.21.10)
It's not likely that Jews are bothered much by Gazans getting some more consumer goods. On the other hand, the West is in agreement with Israel that Hamas should be barred from getting arms. It's not chocolate that is going to overthrow the Jewish state which is the prime goal of Palestinians. Palestinians and their supporters can make some noise and aggravation and little else. They have unsuccessfully turned to the West to do the dirty work for them
