If the arabs were smart they would want to form some kind of Middle Eastern version of NATO. The arabs got the money, Israel has the hardware, they both have mutual interests they want to defend be it iran or something else that the various countries feel threatened by. If a long term military alliance could be forged then we wouldn't need artificiall peace treaties because real peace would develop out of mutual needs.
