6. Intolerance of the Orthodox Jews like the Mullahs
Laila ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.24.10)
The Orthodox Jews are no different than the Iranian Mullahs. They persecute Gays. Now the Ashkenazi and Mizrahi Orthodox are fighting among each other.
7. #2 #6 huh?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.24.10)
Please explain your venom for Jews. Nowhere in the article is any religious person involved in the decision, only the police declined to approve the new route. So why the racist condemnation of the religious? Perhaps the police don't want the parade crossing Ben Zvi avenue which would cause traffic jams in all of Jerusalem, cause unbearable suffering for the residents of Jerusalem, and constitute a safety hazard?
8. "Marching to parliament is a right..."
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
No its not. Stop turning the Gay movement into another Leftist retard association. Making up laws and "rights" based on your own demands does nothing for your cause. Even if the security around the Knesset wasn't already high, the police have every right to approve or deny a planned march based upon the very task they are given - to keep the peace and lessen any chance of a violent confrontation. If the police were discriminatory, the Gays wouldn't have their parade at all.
9. Marching in circles
proud Israeli ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.28.10)
Wake up! A few years ago, a person was stabbed in Jerusalem at the parade. Last year there was a hate crime - that the parade this year is meant to commemorate. We are marching for the very existence of civil rights - our right to express ourselves freely, our freedom of choice. The police say that the route was changed in order to keep the "status quo". But there is no status quo in regards with the treatment of the LGBT community - there is only escalating violence! We are one step away from the police providing the marchers with a huge closet to march inside. The very existence of the LGBT community is a sign of a healthy, pluralistic, accepting, enlightened society - whoever believes in these should be at this march and appose it's new route.
