1. Lieberman is a clown
Frank ,   Canada   (06.24.10)
He must reject all European pressure and prevent Europeans from interfering in all matters related to Israel security.
2. Good move!
Yossef ,   Rehovot, Israel   (06.24.10)
3. Wonderful!
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (06.24.10)
Let's hope Lieberman was wearing armor plated shoes because he just shot himself in the foot. There is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and nothing like letting EU politicians to see it at work, courtesy Israel.
4. I hope Liberman reminds the Europeans to
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.24.10)
take a good look at the sizes of the Gazans before they pronounce that the Gazans are living in deprivation. Put up some billboards on their route to Gaza showing people who are really experiencing a humanitarian crisis. Let him advise them (a) to spend some time on the beautiful Gazan beaches with the flat-screen TV; (b) to look at the text books in use at schools and the hate shows polluting the air waves; (c) to go and purchase the excellent gold items offered for sale at the bazaar; (d) to look at the posh homes of the wealthy scattered throughout; (e) to visit and wander around the well-constructed weapons tunnels; (f) to visit the well-stocked zoo; (g) to visit the arms warehouses in the mosques and elsewhere; (h) to look at the luxury vehicles on the road; (i) to tour Pallywood and meet with the stars. Most of all, the Europeans must pay a visit to Schalit. That will be a truly great humanitarian act, surpassing all other items of the itinerary. If Hamas denies the illustrious European visitors this one important request, then all funding from Europe must cease since there has been no improvement in the terrorist attitude that prevails despite the softening shown by Israel towards them.
5. Good idea so long as Hamas is not the tour guide.
rebecca ,   Modiin   (06.24.10)
6. Who is Lieberman to invite foreign delegation to visit Gaza?
Misha   (06.25.10)
Gaza is not an Israeli territory, let the legitimate elected governement of Gaza invite the people they want. What an arrogance!!!
7. “Poverty” in Gaza
Ron B. ,   Lod   (06.25.10)
In a typical week, 15,000 tons of Israeli humanitarian aid supplies enter Gaza. Truckloads of meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, milk powder, baby food, wheat and other supplies arrive in Gaza daily. Building materials are also shipped in, when monitored by International organizations so that it is not commandeered by Hamas for the fortification of bunkers. (source ) That is, in a week, Israel sends more aid to Gaza than is contained in the 10,000 tons of the so-called humanitarian aid flotilla. As to “poverty” in Gaza : http://xrl.us/bhm6x9
8. Re : Isreal has been very busy doing some tiresome wor
waguma eddie ,   thailand , Bangkok   (06.25.10)
hehehe so they have finished planting evidence there , but wont work . Arabs are also clever guys .
9. Gaza is not HIS for him to invite people to it.
ahmed ,   london   (06.25.10)
when israeli mentality aligns itself with normal modes of human conduct and it ceases to be so arrogant, then maybe there will be a chance for some peace. NOT YOURS, GET IT?
10. #6 Misha, I'm sure the Gazans would just love
Topsy Turvy ,   US   (06.25.10)
to have their benefactors over to visit. They'll get a chance to bring out and use their red carpet stashed away with mothballs. They'll get a chance to show off how they have utilised all that money they received from their benefactors. And best of all, they will be able to show first hand, the dreadful humanitarian crisis they are living under. Betcha they'll grab the opportunity regardless of who invited them. It's an opportunity of a lifetime.
11. Anyone seen a skinny,starving pal?....
Malone ,   Hfx   (06.25.10)
Good idea, show them the well stocked shelves ,all the fat women,...no crisis there...pure propaganda...
12. #5 Rebecca,Modin
Malone ,   Hfx   (06.25.10)
Good idea as Rebecca says as long as Hamas does not conduct the propaganda tour... avoiding the well stocked shelves of the local grocery stores...they couldn't find a skinny, starving pal if they tried because there are none.. Lieberman is the only one that says it like it is...I hope he's the next PM and watch the arabs back off...

but hamas will never issue this invitation because THERE IS REALLY NO HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IN GAZA AND THERE NEVER WAS!!! hamas will not invite such a delegation because then they will see trhat hamas has been lying and using the "crisis" situation as a lie to garner legitimacy and create situations that are beneficial for them. the only crisis in the hamas territory is the one concocted by hamas. they are the depriver of goods into gaza. they take every penny from each tunnel and use kids, kids , kids to die digging and work like slaves while hamas steals the tunnels' profits, builds villas for themselves and sends these profits into european banks for their future only. why would hamas issue such an invitation to europeans that will expose hamas perfidy, stealing and lying??? MORON! hameed aboughaze, iranian
14. that amazing shuk...
galilean mom ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
But it has to be a surprise visit, otherwise Hamas will have the people close down that amazing shuk they have in Gaza City, hide those luxury cars, and blow up those luxurious villas. All in the name of supporting their vicious lies. They couldn't care less about the true condition of their own people. So we can expect the worst.
15. Why, Jerrold Cohen, son of Holocaust
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.25.10)
survivors, that you say nothing about Gilad Shalit, a young Jewish soldier kidnapped by Hamas? What is it about you that at the end of your life (retired healthcare worker) you have no compassion for the young Shalit nor his parents who suffer so? What happened to you, Jerrold, to have accumulated so much hate against your own people?
16. #11, doesn't they look starving to you?

israel attempted to close its borders with gaza and give it back to egypt as the rightful owners. egypt refused!!!! in 1967 and now!!!!!! gaza could be free of israel anytime it wants or any time hamas wants. but HAMAS DOESN'T WANT TO BE FREE OF ISRAEL. who will hamas suicide bomb and bomb with missiles if israel declares a closed border? who will gazan children go to for hospitals if israel closed the border? egypt doesn't wasnt to open it either. jordan doesn't want the pals either. no arab country wants them. understand why????? because they are violent trouble makers and they have been violent in jordan, in lebanon, in syria and everywhere they are...even in europe!!!! it is hamas that doesn't want to end israeli control over the gaza strip. it is nor israel. because if israel has no business with gaza, who will hamas terrorists kill and there will be no reason for hamas to be kept in power. will it??? moron! hameed aboughaze, iranian
18. Gilad
SF2OAK ,   Oakland, USA   (06.25.10)
Maybe the EU diplomats can look for Gilad while they are in gaza. I'll donate for a flashlight.
19. israel is isolated;not hamas-cant you see that ??
athos ,   nice   (06.25.10)

20. @#9
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland, Aotearoa   (06.25.10)
Actually, according to international law which you guys love to quote, Gaza belongs to Israel until it is taken back by Egypt (ain't gonna happen), or declared an independent state (when gazans start acting like responsible grownups i.e. not in our grandchildren lifetimes). Israeli FM has perfect right to invite there whoever he sees fit. Nothing to do with arrogance, everything to do with following the law to the letter. Sorry to burst your bubble.
21. # 3
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.26.10)
Jerold Cohen aka Josef....there is no food crisis in Gaza, over 10.000 tons of food, medical aid, clothes etc go into Gaza weekly, sent by Israel. So do us all a big favour, shut up already.
