The Turkish report raises an interesting possibility: were the dead murdered by the IHH? I can't imagine soldiers shooting multiple times in the melee. One shot would fell an attacker and there were too many attackers to spend time on any one. I don't think we're likely to get a thorough and honest report from a Turkish agency.

For a boat that was carrying women, children, and elderly, this is a VERY narrow range of people to be killed by indiscriminate fire. 1) The IDF have concluded from their own internal report that they were unprepared and ill equipped to handle a dozen or so lightly armed civilians who violently resisted the IDF hijacking of their ship. 2) It has NOT been proven that the 9 civilians killed posed a direct threat to the IDF. 3) The IDF, according to autopsy reports, did not try and disable the 9 civilians they shot dead. This contradicts the guiding 4 principles of the IDF: military necessity, distinction, proportionality and humanity.

Metal rods and knives are "deadly force" in any jurisdiction. It has been shown, widely, that the attack on the Commandos was premeditated; the Turks violence was an ambush, not a resistance. Armed ambushers aren't properly "civilian". Israel's blockade of Gaza is part of an ongoing war started by Israel's many enemies. Running a blockade is not a civilian act, it's a joining of the war. The videos showing deliberate and violent joining of a war by the Turks against the Israelis *is* a casus belli against that ship and all it's occupants. Shot dead is, in fact, disabled. Your blindness to obvious fact is lamentable: Necessity, Distinction, Proportionality, and Humanity were ALL shown. The attackers died, everybody else was basically let go.

It was NOT possible for the IDF to have killed those people. The IDF young men were brutally attacked and unable to do much damage. I hate to burst your bubble folks but Ed is right!

See photos of arms taken from the ship. The terrorist were wearing gas masks and bullet proof vests. IDF was acting in self defense. If they hadn't fired, they'd have been beaten and stabbed to death.

Then too, the Turks may have planned to shoot some of their own and pin the blame on Israel. The weapons of the sharp-shooters will be somewhere at the bottom of the sea. They were prepared for martyrdom, but at whose hands? Their own? It's their word against Israel's. The point is, they had no right to attack Israel...and again, why casualties on only one vessel? Let them explain that, not how many bullets were in a bodies. The Turks took possession of the bodies and they pumped, more bullets into them after the fact.
