The thing is that the educated and well mannered people in Israel mostly don’t go on this kind of trips pre-IDF but rather take this precious time to study, work out and stuff like that. I have seen different. Meah Sharim last time I was there looked like a landfill with garbage and unkempt buildings. The lack of codes or enforcement have much of tel aviv looking like a ghost town after a flood. I can't count the number of times I had to go head to head with the neighbors for leaving trash outside for the cats to spread all over the place. Cassi, I DO read newspapers (English aswel) and I DO read about the abominable drunken behaviour of Brits and others, but I NEVER read or heard, they were 'thrown out of hotels.
