1. THIS STORY........
OZ   (07.23.10)
is not the first to demostrate3 facts-- 1)the arabs are and will be ungreatfull of any humanitarian gesture israel /the jews will make. 2) they hate us a lo more than they love their children. 3)this is a clash of cultures, morals, civil lberties and rights, and mostly a clash of civilazations that will only be settled by a concsie , deterined israel strike into our enemies and bbring them down to their knees.
2. I'm surprised that YNet would allow such an article
Shalom   (07.23.10)
YNet, since when are Arabs terrorists? According to your usual reports, it seems that only a Jew - and a religious Jew of course - who murders an Arab, may be defined as a terrorist. Arabs - as we have learned from YNet - are peace loving souls just like their buddies the Leftists in Israel and worldwide. YNet, how can you allow the reputation of Arabs and Leftists be damaged like that?
3. It's because we're stupid.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (07.23.10)
Mush for brains. We've been infected with that mental disease called ''Leftism'' or if you prefer, ''Liberalism'' (although they're not exactly the same thing). You know, sentimental crap disguised as humanitarianism, part & parcel of living in denial of reality. We're bombarded incessantly with chants of ''peace'' - ''coexistence'' - ''dialogue'' - ''humanitarianism'' - and assorted other terms that have lost all real connexion to reality. The reality is that we're talking about people who want to kill us. This is their political & religious ideology. It over-rides all other considerations including their own well-being. And the more we talk about ''peace'' the more they see weakness & a hope for victory, the more they are inspired, motivated to destroy us.
4. FRONT PAGE STORY !!!
jew from Brasil ,   rio de Janeiro   (07.23.10)
Where is PR government staff ? This episode highly illustrate Israel security concerns and what we are face against !! Terrorists make use of : ambulances, children, disguised press cars, mentally disabled, women -and now of course - their own daughter tragedy TO KILL JEWS This story should be published every day during a year as a reminder to those who believe that Israel should soft it stance
5. #1
Palestinian   (07.23.10)
The solutions Is to get the hell out of the OCCUPIED territories. You're talking like we should be very moved and grateful for some goodwill gestures made by tiny group of Israeli and forget you occupied our land and did what you did to our people.... Just leave, leave, leave.... thanks for those who did nice gestures, but at the end of the day YOU ARE THE OCCUPIER.... We don't mainly need nice gestures, we don't need to help a child or a woman, or to allow someone to learn in your university, or to send some food to Gaza...we want ONLY TO GET THE HELL OUR OF THE OCCUPIED TERRITORIES....
6. Despite the kindness, cruelty remains in their hearts
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (07.23.10)
A few weeks ago, the story came out of a woman from Gaza whose child was being treated for a rare disease in Israel. She expressed - to the doctor's face! - her prayers that her child would live so he could one day die as a shahid (martyr). The woman made no effort to hide the cruelty in her heart. The doctor was, of course, shocked. Like many, he believed that Israeli kindness would triumph over Palestinian hatred. He now joins those "mugged by reality".
7. to Terry #3 Bravo
Yaakov ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.23.10)
You like me understand that our problem ofethno-centric projection of our values simply are perceived as weaknes to the foreign Muslim culture. Terry from where did you make Aliyah? What is your e-mail?
8. exactly what I wanted to say!
martine ,   ashdod   (07.23.10)
when I read that one of the palestinian that killed that poor man had his daughter treated in one of our hospital, I wanted to hurl! WHY? HOW? Are we the same now? I mean the palestinians claim that they praise death over life and it seems that we are the same, at least the people who rule our country are the same. A man is dead because his religion and his identity, he has been murdered by men that wanted to kill Jews, among them, that father who came, whinning that his daughter was sick. that girl is safe now and Shuki is dead!!! And nobody except that article said a single word. The Jewish solidarity is an old story!
9. Re #5
Andrew Brehm   (07.23.10)
We tried that. Before 1967 Israel didn't occupy the West-Bank or Gaza and we were attacked from there. We withdrew from southern Lebanon and Gaza and were attacked from both again. I myself grew up in occupied territory. It never occured to me to try to murder the occupiers.
10. It's simply a show of weakness
BH ,   Iowa   (07.23.10)
and adds to the arab sense of entitlement. It's time Israel stops acting like a disappointed father to their enemies.
11. To # 5
Ariel ,   São Paulo - Brazil   (07.23.10)
Gaza is not ocupied... And still try to make war with us. Stop blaming others for your own mistakes. Admits he committed a terrorist act, hold it, and only then I will believe in your sincerity ..
12. re # 5 to the Palestinian: NO IS NOT !!!
jew from Brasil ,   rio de Janeiro   (07.23.10)
We have all seen what happened WHEN WE GOT THE HELL OUT OF LEBANON AND GAZA Without a proper agreement and assurance of security to Israeli citizens your words are just dust in the wind !!! By the way, if you don't need nice gestures STOP KEEP ASKING !!
13. #5
Matt   (07.23.10)
Israel "left left left" Gaza, and did you guys reciprocate? I don't think so. How did leaving work for Israel in 2001? That excuse is wearing really thin.
14. Thanx Israel >> U r so nice
Palestinian ,   Ramallah   (07.23.10)
We as Palestinians are so grateful b/c you let us enter our land, and let us have medical treatment in a stupid hospital built on our land, with an israeli doctor who came from Poland or USA to live on our land. And you dont want us to bomb the hell out of you ???
15. #7 Yaakov, Jerusalem - Israel
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (07.23.10)
I made aliyah from an Arab country about 5 yrs. ago. I like that term you used, ethno-centric projection. It works both ways you realize - They imagine we are like them which is why they accuse us of exactly what they have in mind while we, Euro-centric wishful thinkers, are actually totally ignorant of Arab culture, of what makes them tick, so to speak. I've always found almost all Westerners to be hopelessly naive, gullible, a real bunch of suckers. Liberals are the worst, they're actually so condescending, so patronizing in their ignorance, real dhimmwits. They don't have a clue as to who & what they're dealing with.
16. #5 Palestinian, But before 1967 you still killed
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.23.10)
Sorry but your Argument doesn't fly, it's just an excuse. Prior to what you call "occupation" 3 wars were waged against Israel and terrorism was rampant. Nothing that happens now i.e. murder. rockets.snipers etc. also occurred before 67 when there were NO settlements. So when the Jordanian flag flew over the West Bank nothing was different. So stop making excuses for premeditated murder. It's not "resistance" your clever euphemism for murder and terrorism, and your free ride to commit all sorts crimes against humanity with impunity.
17. leave occupied land
observer   (07.23.10)
what Palestinians seeks most is Israel's fare well, rather than its welfare.
18. what is the fault of the six-year-old daughter ?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (07.23.10)
all due respect to the doctors and to "Israeli" non-profit organization end the occuption
19. When death is worshiped and murdering is elevated to
Edna ,   Kibbutz Kfar Hanasi   (07.23.10)
a sanctified act this what you have. Israel faces this cultural trait when facing the Islamic culture next door to it. I wonder if Europeans and North Americans can appreciate this and other destructive manifestations of Islam, e.g. the burning of forests and fields of one's opponent, the stealing of cattle because this has been the way of one's life for generations. Wake up Europe, wake up America before you are as affected by this phenomenon as we, Israeli Jews, have been!
20. To the #5 so-called pali
Eytan ,   Jewland   (07.23.10)
We feel the same about you. the difference is that our claim is based in truth and reality while you are still in fantasy that u have some claim to some land. Jordan is Palistine. enough of your lies.
21. We'd love to, Salma
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (07.23.10)
Most Israelis are sick of the occupied territories. All your people need do is start developing instead of attempting to destroy Israel and Israelis. Start standing on your own feet instead of demanding sustenance from Israel - water, electricity, food, medical care - then whingeing about "occupation".
22. # 5
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.23.10)
Hey big mouth, ungrateful one, if Israel would not send you food & medicine, give you electricity, & water, you'd all be dead by now. We, the Israelis are not going anywhere, so learn to live with us in peace, of course without being grateful.
23. # 14
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.23.10)
Hadassah Ein Kerem ,a stupid hosptal ?? Both Jewish & Muslim doctors & nurses work at Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem which is a famous teaching hospital. Your ignorance is astounding. You bomb us? we bomb you back !!
24. # 17
Birdi ,   Israel   (07.23.10)
When pigs will fly.
25. Capturing Jerusalem for 1400 years
observer   (07.23.10)
Abu Ubaida held a meeting with his high command officers, including Khalid to decide of future conquests. They decided to conquer Jerusalem. The siege of Jerusalem lasted four months after which the city agreed to surrender, but only to caliph Umar Ibn Al Khattab in person. Amr-bin al-eas suggested that Khalid should be sent as caliph, because of his very strong resemblance with Caliph Umar. Khalid was recognized and eventually, Caliph Umar Ibn Al Khattab came and the city surrendered on April 637 CE. Abu Ubaida sent the commanders Amr bin al-As, Yazid bin Abu Sufyan, and Sharjeel bin Hassana back to their areas to reconquer them. Most of the areas submitted without a fight. Abu Ubaida himself along with Khalid moved to northern Syria once again to conquer them with a 17000 strong army. Khalid along with his cavalry was sent to Hazir and Abu Ubaidah moved to Qasreen city.
26. #5 The irony
Len ,   Florida, USA   (07.23.10)
Your statement is nothing short of a declaration of continuing war and bloodshed. It shows no humanity. The article was about Israeli compassion and blind Arab hatred of someone healing their child. Your hatred no matter how rational blilnds you. Every people in this world now occupies another people's land. Humans are migatory--the dirt under their feet ultimately belongs to no one. Your fantasies reagarding Israel will not come to pass. Make peace for the sake of your children's future. It was G-d's will that the Jews occupied "your land" so that this child would be healed by a Jewish health organization.
27. They Don't See the Problem
Matt   (07.23.10)
The Palestinians on this thread don't have an issue with this incident. Their leadership proclaims they want to live in peace with the Jews, but every time a Palestinian raises his hand in violence, the justifications and excuses start. Didn't any of you consider the possibility that reciprocating these gestures of peace might lead to peace faster than "justified" violence?
28. Israel falling into racist generalisations
Mike ,   New york   (07.23.10)
Taking one case of a man who is stupid and dangerous for ans concluding a supposed fact that should be applied to all palestinians is what e jews used to suffer in europe. Wake up before this state you have built does not turn into a monster of occupation with no morals to others. I hope ynet will publish my comments which is not always the case. Thanms
29. Not only should this story be published...
E ,   Al Khobar, KSA   (07.23.10)
...but so should the Pali talkbackers' submissions. It would be a real eye opener to the West. I certainly learnt that they don't want anything of Israel.
30. #5: Yes, Get Out!
emanon ,   USA   (07.23.10)
Leave Gaza now and go back to the arab land you came from. Return Gaza to the rightful owner. Oh wait, Jordan does not want you back. Nor does Syria, Lebanon Saudi Arabia or any other arab land. Wonder why?
