1. Storm in September??
We don't usually get our first rains until mid to late October.

2. Storms are far preferable to phony "peace talks with the PA"
Campare the damage a storm might create with those of phony "peace talks with the PA". A storm may bring unpleasant weather. Perhaps damage a few roofs. Than it is over. However, "peace talks with the PA" would cost us Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, defensible borders, freedom from rocket attacks, freedom from inundation by hostile Arabs, our viability as a state... Storms are infinitely preferable to phony "peace talks with the PA".

3. Jews are setting up Abbas for blame
Watch, in September the Jews will blame Abbas for the failure of the "talks", and blame him for the end of the "freeze".

4. Sweet
The art of forcing Abbas to choose between the rock and the hard place.
Well done, Israel! VERY well done!
By pushing for direct talks -- knowing full well that Abbas cannot possibly accede -- Israel has quite adroitly pointed out to the world just how fragmented is the Palestinian community, and just how disunified they are. As a side benefit, we have Abbas' true colors shining through -- he is not interested in peaceful co-existence with Israel; Israel has always known it and now the West does, too.
I know just the way to nudge Abbas over the edge. Insist that a good-faith gesture is required by Israel; Abbas should state publicly that the State of Israel has a right to exist in its ancient homeland.
That will put an end to the Palestinians for sure, so he won't do it -- imagine the fallout! -- but the West will want to know why he won't do it. It isn't asking very much ......
Oh, Abbas' knickers are all in a twist. Couldn't happen to a nicer piece of terrorist scum, now could it?

5. To: No. 3
Correct. And there's not a damn thing you can do to stop it, is there?
LOL. Revenge is a dish best eaten cold. The Jews and Israel know it. The Arabs don't. And that has made all the difference.

6. "pressure Palestinians into direct talks", is that a joke?
Do either of these people live outside of an imaginary world? This would fly at Disneyland but not in planet earth.

7. Another Useless American puppet!!!
This Idiot Abbas knows what the Israeli intention is for Palestine.
Nothing more than 100% Israeli domination.
But If he can be bribed with money and a nice home he doesn’t care.
This blatant corruption by the PLO brought about the election of Hamas the Israeli created and funded militant group that was created to divide the Palestinians.
Abbas wasn’t democratically elected so he doesn’t represent the Palestinian people.
Direct talks, indirect talks they will all lead to predictable deliberate sabotaged failure.
Mainly to suit Israeli continued expansion into the occupied territories. And to keep the status quo from changing. If Israel allows Palestinians to have true self determination and freedom this will cause a big shift in the Middle East and defang
a lot of hostilities. Maybe the Arabs would look internally and overthrow their governments.

8. talks
Peres wants his name in the papers again Talks a lot of bullshit mainly against Israel. Peres thinks Israelis have forgotten his wonderful mess-up in Oslo. Whatever has Peres words will be anti Israel and against the people. He was p;aced into office by the corrupt thieveing Olmert and not bypopular vote The Israelis voted seven times against this nincumpoop Peres SHUT UP ALREADY
|
|
9. By "storm" does he mean it will rain missiles on Palestine?
I think Peres needs to be more specific and explain what is meant with the use of that word. It sounds like a threat of war and I hope it isn't. Peace is not achieved by pressure or threats, that is how you achieve war.
Israel will not freeze the settlements and Palestinians won't agree to the construction of settlements. So there we have it, the same old failed peace agreement. There is no need for talks, the outcome is pre-determined.
This holy land is a battlefield. This is where religion began and will probably be where it ends.
