31. to#26
Joe ,   USA   (08.03.10)
you are right, the only and real enemy for christians as for all muslims is israel. They attacked the Lebanese army while they always were saying that their enemy is only Hizbullah, this proves their lies .
32. What the hell just happened here!?!?!?!?!?
Talula ,   Israel   (08.03.10)
Our boys were on our side of the border? It's just another excuse for the Arabs to pick another war - which they won't win. Good job we didn't sign the treaty this week that wants to outlaw the use of certain missiles. Dust them off and wheel them out boys.
33. What Really Happened
Erich ,   Jerusalem   (08.03.10)
Under orders from the Lebanese govt., the Lebanese army started to fire at Israeli troops on routine patrol along the Northern border. The reason? The Lebanese govt. desperately needs a diversion from the just-released findings that Hezbollah was behind the Hariri assasination. The Lebanese are inviting trouble, and I hope and pray that Netanyahu doesn't turn out to be an Olmert.
34. #17 Lebanese army waking up.
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (08.03.10)
Worthless bunch of sad-sacks whether sleeping or awake. If all the Arab armies combined can't defeat Israel, what are these slobs gonna do? Cry to the UN to stop the merciless Israeli onslaught like they did in 2006?
35. to # 28
Maroun ,   Lebanon   (08.03.10)
my friend i totaly respect u if u r israeli and looking forward for peace. but if our country is controled by palis wishes israel is controled by Ben-Gurion, theodor herzl and talmud philosphie (u know what i mean). now simply we can defend our country, we have the strengh and the faith.
36. To: No. 26
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.10)
Oooh. You have a graduate degree in stupid. Israel can turn Lebanon into a glowing cinder in NO TIME AT ALL. Do you realize this? Do you REALLY want to promote some sort of incredibly nonsensical bravado that will bring Lebanon nothing but death and destruction? Do you? Do you? Are you that insane? Oh well. I always thought that the Litani would make a simply SPLENDID northern border for Israel. Are you paying attention, Maroun? Do you REALLY want to die that badly? It can be arranged. Truly it can. Don't tempt us.
37. You never learn your lesson
Ali ,   Sydney   (08.03.10)
So the IDF hasn't learnt its lesson ? haha.... long live hezbollah and the islamic resistance of lebanon. Yes, we are terrorsits and we are proud. Our land is ours but your land is not.
38. maroun i am proud
ali ,   canada   (08.03.10)

39. # 10 Lara
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.03.10)
Lara ! Israel must keep an eye on Lebanon,to watch what kind of mischief, big brother Iran is planning against Israel, and can you tell me please how does Lebanon benefit by being a base for Iranian imperialistic ambitions ?.
40. pathetic
jan ,   Jerusalem,Israel   (08.03.10)
The extreme excitement coming from Lenanon in these talkbacks is punctuating the grotesque truth about their bloodthirsty, midevil mentality. Yet between the lines we all know you are terrified-and you should be.
41. to # 23 : Wrong
Nitzotz ,   France   (08.03.10)
according to the JPost, Initial Israeli reports had said the soldiers were on a routine patrol, operating past the border fence, but within Israeli territory, since the fence does not always exactly parallel the border.
42. Israel is playing
Hakim ,   Palestine   (08.03.10)

45. #26, re 29
Nour ,   One-State   (08.03.10)
Do not let this Zionist apologist stand in the way between us. We support Lebanon's independent decision and we stand by your army if you call upon us to help. Long live free Lebanon and free Palestine.
46. So everyone is so happy?
Abed ,   Nablus   (08.03.10)
What a bunch of idiots honestly...whatever happened, it should be resolved through diplomatic channels NOW... what was achieved the last time? nothing but thousands of dead and injured on both sides....becasue, i have been somewhat (1%) hopeful this week that negotiations will happen soon, we get skirmishes in gaza and skirmishes in Lebanon....sorry if i want some peace here, because i want a better future for my kids....end this madness, it will lead to nothing !!!!
47. Salma and Nour supporting overthrow of Beirut government?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.03.10)
So you say that Hezbollah is the real army of Lebanon? Lebanon made an "independent decision" to attack Israel today? "Long live free Lebanon"? What is so free about Lebanon if the democratically elected government is overthrown by Hezbollah? Hezbollah is not legal, not the Lebanese Army, and lost in the last elections? So why do you two Palestinians support the illegal overthrow of Lebanon? Is it because Lebanon has a 62 year history of abusing Palestinians? Is it because the enemy of my enemy is my friend? You two sound like you are willing to fight to the last Lebanese. Pathetic attitude you two have. But then again, I'm still pretty sure that both of you are not really Pals and probably live in Ramat Aviv...
48. # 27 hakim
Madeleine ,   Israel   (08.03.10)
And you, matey, have no country at all. Not on eof your 22 Arab brethren's countries wants you. And guess waht? Neither do we, though if you could contemplate the word PEACE for even one moment, and act on that, you might actually find your pitiful lives in Gaza improving quite a lot. As for Ali in Canada and Ali in Sydney - you certainly ran far enough from the country you purport to love an dsupport, or your parents did if you were born in those far off places, neither of which has known the meaning of war. You bloodthirsty lot are a real bunch of sickos.
49. # 17 Nour
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.03.10)
Nour ! The Lebanese Army can't defend Lebanon against far away Iran, who rules Lebanon through it's high commissioner in Lebanon, the quisling Nasarala,do you expect the Lebanese Army to be a serious threat to Israel ?.

ghostq   (08.03.10)

57. god bless israel
Jonathan ,   perth, australia   (08.03.10)
be strong and courageous.
58. To: Ian at No. 50
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.10)
All of the recent skirmishes, missile firings and conflict may be safely laid at the doorstep of the fascists in Tehran. They are quaking in their boots, and doing their level best to goad Israel into a shooting conflict with either (or both) of their toadies, Hamas and Hizbollah. Will it work? No. Israel can set out after breakfast to destroy both Hamas and Hizbollah, and be back home comfortably in time for lunch. To hell with collateral damage. I say Israel should take the same care with respect to collateral damage as NATO did in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq. Which is to say no care at all. Oh well. Sometimes, being a terrorist REALLY sucks. As Hamas and Hizbollah will shortly learn, very much the hard way. Tee hee.
59. To: No. 46
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.10)
It is not Israel that has been initiating the violence. The fault lies with Iran, who is desperately afraid of an Israeli attack, and is doing its utmost to ratchet up the rhetoric, and to encourage both Hamas and Hizbollah to initiate aggression against Israel. I feel very badly for you. You have been betrayed by your leadership for a very long time. That said -- you do need a simple reality check. It's not "Nablus," Abed. It's "Schehem." Sorry. That's just how it goes. We won; you lost. We get to set the terms, the rules, the conditions .... and the names.
60. Israelis retaliated to rocket attack by cutting trees
Zico ,   Brazil   (08.03.10)
Cool, it's time to get a pack of popcorn and watch another war in the middle east. With both sides have their combat readiness high, it's almost like watching a world cup final
