31. #27;Sarah, your logic of war is off, sorry
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.03.10)
First, so I'm clear. Are you actually saying you have to lose more soldiers to prove what exactly? Gen. Patton during WW2 stated correctly, the object of war is not to die for your country, it's to make the other bastard die for his. My point is this, just because the Lebanese had more casualties may only prove Israel had them outgunned, NOT, who started it. I totally don't get your point with Obama. I've no idea what you mean or what your point was?
32. Assad the RAT, and he conned you as well

...that the "Lion" attacked the same village from UN source's "By contrast, few voices were raised in May 1985, when Muslim militiamen attacked the Shatila and Burj-el Barajneh Palestinian refugee camps. According to UN officials, 635 were killed and 2,500 wounded." That is your "Lion" sam, Impressive! The full story is here; on both incidents. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/Sabra_&_Shatila.html

I don't want to see a single Israeli soldier lose his or her life in a conventional war. I don't particularly care how many Lebanese die. Sorry -- the UNIFIL contingent that attempted (unsuccessfully) to stop the hostilities was Indonesian. Hussein Obama grew up in Indonesia, and was educated in a very fundamentalist Moslem madrassa. I guess you didn't know that. Hmmm.
34. #27;SARAH CASE CLOSED
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.03.10)
UNIFIL force's confirmed it. The Lebanese started it, so my point about...the journalist killed at the start may prove premeditation on Hezbollah's part was IN FACT correct... and you casually dismissed it.

I did nothing of the sort. One has to question a priori any military patrol that embeds a journalist. The Lebanese Army /Hizbollah set out to provoke a confrontation, probably at the behest of their Iranian masters. No one is denying that. It was a stupid thing to do, and it was an act which will have fatal consequences for Hizbollah, the Lebanese (and ultimately Iran), but sometimes you just cannot protect people from themselves.

41. EVERYBODY SHOULD COOL IT
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (08.04.10)
No need for war .Israelis and their neighbors are actually very similar in many ways .Lebanon and Syria must learn to accept Israelis and to welcome them as neighbors.I do not want any trouble ,heaven forbid but should President Assad start trouble with his neighbor Israel ,I am certain he will regret it big time.To the Lebanese people I say ,israelis have no quarrel with you and you should get to know them ,you might even grow to like them but forget the war thing....that will get all of us nowhere fast ,just a dead end. Let us all ,arabs and their israeli neighbors , enjoy a quiet and peaceful life ,G-d willing.

Sure, the only thing you need is to get you a** out of our land. Beside, the only country that will regret a war would be Israel. By the way, to like you it will take a lot but nice dreams.

The Golan was in Syria hand before JUne 67.The main reason Israel have captured Golan because Israel was threaten by Syria sending katyusha, and terror. There is no way Israel will give Golan back to Syria without ISRAEL SECURITY.ISRAEL PAID VERY HEAVY PRICE IN BLOOD TO STOP YOUR TERROR FROM GOLAN.

Samir Are you seriously telling me that your soldiers trained for going on parades with their aging hardware will be any match for Israel? The IDF are well trained force who have learned to fight the hard way in battle not on parades. T72 tanks v Merkava 4 Soviet era MIG 29 & MIG 25 jets flown by pilots who are trained to eject rather than land v F15 & F16 and combat UAVS flown by some of the top pilots in the world. Israeli warships & subs v the boats Syria was using in the 1967 war. It certainly won't be a 6 day war. In 1967 Syria was a major military power after Egypt whilst Israel was not and you were part of a colaition. Today your weaponry is historic compared to anything that the IDF is using and your fighting alone no Jordan and Egypt to help. You think that its Israel will be the one regretting the war. Its not Jerusalem or Tel Aviv that will be suffering from carpet bombing is it will be Damascus. Assad will be lucky if he lives to regret it after Syria is humiliated the people might decide to kick him out of office or even kill him. If you want a word of good advice stop supporting Israels enemies and, don't make any trouble and stop trying to steal the Israeli owned Golan we will not let Syria illegally occupy the Golan ever again.
