31. To #25: this is NOT a trivial incident--people were killed
(08.03.10)
Making light of this just proves how easy it is for a smart a$$ like you to make light of what could end up a serious situation. Grow up.
32. dAN iN mETULLA #18 keep laughing
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.03.10)
When we come and shove a tank up your asshole you won't be laughing, you will again be crying to the UN to save your stupid sorry asses again.
33. nasrollah is quaking
alexi   (08.03.10)
Barak threatens with talk and nasrollah laughs and I don't blame him. brak's t hreats are worthless coming from an appeaser who did nothing to fight terror while PM.He was lousy as chief of staff and lucky that ashkenazi was chief of staff for gaza operation. i expect that he will be fingered as the guy who helped come up with paintball. Nasrollah should watch his b loody mouth as israelis will fight to the last man and woman, for their ancestral homeland userped by arabs. And olmert is not there anymore who ran scared. Finally, IDF should raise its border areas with earthen works to see over lebanese positions even if it takes a year to do it. There is no reason not to change the topography.
34. Barak as politician - elephant in porcelans shop=desaster!
Jaacov Baumann   (08.03.10)
35. To Clare nr 23
Charlotte ,   London   (08.03.10)
Are you kidding? First of all Israel did not attack the 'poor Lebanese' and secondly for your second profound statement 'will learn to leave Lebanase alone'. I tell you what ,Israel decides when and who to leave alone when a country that harbours terrorist entities and provokes like this they better hope Israel doesn't teach it a lesson.
36. to #31
#25   (08.04.10)
it might not be light for you, but for your leaders it's a headcount - just a number. they will soon send the IDF to steal olives from Lebanese olive trees and shoot lebanese birds just to get what they want. you are constituents of a game same as Gilad. if you people are smart you would just accept international law and live in peace. instead you want to steal other people's land. You do that and you get what you ask for.
37. To Charlotte in London no. 35
Clare ,   Reading, UK   (08.04.10)
I wouldn't worry about it after all the US won't let Israel attack Lebanon, just as well someone with some sense is in control of israel.
38. anonymous
Ed ,   austin,texas   (08.04.10)
How the lebanese were ready with cameras and reporters? maybe they knew about the plan? planned , ambush
39. It is another Qana incident...
william ,   Gotham City, Lebanon   (08.04.10)
... Does anyone remember what happened when Hizbollah shelled IDf positions from the proximity of a UN camp... It is the same scenario folks... They shot at the IDF from the proximity of Lebanese Army positions and ran fro their lives... The Lebanese Army never engaged the IDF and I doubt they did this time too... The chicken shit Lebanese excuse of a govt does not have the balls to admit the truth...... Or at least admit the possibility that some Lebanese soldiers were paid off by Hizbollah to attack the IDF…
40. Lebanon has been complaining for years now
David ,   USA   (08.04.10)
of Israeli violations of its sovereignty, by air, sea and land. It is clear from the pictures Israeli soldiers are pulling trees over the border fence despite UNIFIL telling them not to. It was just a matter of time before Lebanon stood its feet. It shouldn't surprise no one if they shoot down Israeli planes flying their skies next.
41. 35 london yes i srael should have learned a lesson here
dave   (08.04.10)
i doubt they did though. UNIFIL have told them not to do it, the Lebanese told them not to do it, but Israel does what Israel does and unlike previous times Lebanon decided not to take it anymore. Don't be surprised the shoot Israeli planes that daily violate their skies. Either Israel learns its lesson and respect its neighbors or they'll get what they seem to be wanting.
42. threats
alexi   (08.04.10)
Barak apparently excelled as a commando and knew martial arts. As PM he failed. His threats were and are worthless. Hamas did not blink. They are more worried about lieberman, landau, yaalon and bibi. they and hezbollah dismiss barak as a threat. No, barak gives israel no advantage unlike sharon or yaalon or landau who the enemy fears. ThaT'S WHAT WITHDRAWAL FOR NOTHING GETS YOU. Olmert was worse than barak, showing fear and cowardice. He attacked israelis more than arabs. nOW he is attacking settlers. Katz says one day, Olmert will be tried by the God of Israel for endangering the state in such a negligent way. A coward is a coward.
43. Ehud Dreck Barak was on US TV
David ,   NJUSA   (08.04.10)
all weekend in same cloths and nobody interviewing him or watching could understand a word he said. EHUD< PLEASE DON'T SEND ARMY INTO LEBENON WITH WATERGUNS LIKE YOU DID TO THE FLOTILLA TROOPS. YOU ARE DISGUSTING
44. #6 Kenny - yes that's the point
Daniela   (08.04.10)
"Hizbullah wants increased hostilities to divert attention from its upcoming indictments in the Harari murder". EXACTLY !
45. To No. 20, Mark...Thank's a lot for this
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.04.10)

46. IOF to stay on their side of fence or get shot at
lydia ,   Brisbane   (08.04.10)
47. It is not business of Lebanon what Israel do
Igor ,   Tel-Aviv   (08.04.10)
on its own territory. I also think that UN made a mistake by not condemning Lebanon for the attack, and it will probably be not the last one
48. To No.45 Chris
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (08.04.10)
It's a classic, Chris and says it all. Have a nice day : )
