1. this is the third time Iran LOSE, sound
ghostq   (08.16.10)
like they suffer from ego problem but since they don't bind by international rules it only means the isolation is their own doing, a thing like sport or music bring people closer together and Iranians do everithing to seclud themselves from the rest of the world. oh well I guess they will have to learn the hard way. another anyway well done! Israel kol akavod.
2. Bravo Iran
world ,   world   (08.16.10)
the gentelman will have always an astrix beside his name stating that he won without a fight . NOT a REAL Champion . THE MASSAGE IS MORE IMPORTANT ....Never sleep with the enemies .
3. that is rediculous-everyone knows the
Barney ,   USA   (08.16.10)
Israelis are superior to the Iranians in every field except terrorism and hatred. The young Iranians will one day emerge to the truth. They seek to do so now but are killed when they do. Congrats to Israeli-YOU WON THE GOLD!!!
4. Or "world, world" #2, would it not be more
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (08.16.10)
truthful to say that the withdrawal of the Iranian athlete was a question of cowardice? How would it have looked to the "world" and to yourself had an Israeli competitor defeated an Iranian one? You gloat regarding withdrawal but the more appropriate response would have been shame.
5. well done to Gili Haimovitz
Stephanie ,   Israel   (08.16.10)
If you noticed, Israel stood on the mats waiting for the Iranian's arrival for the finals. it was obvious that he (the Iranian) was not injured because of his two excellent previous fights. I actually feel very sorry for the Iranian as I'm sure he wanted the opportunity to see if he had what it takes to make a real champion. Unfortunately due to the politics of his country, he couldn't abide to the very esscence and theme of these the first Junior Olympic Games - friendship and unerstanding. According to the laws, the Israeli won fair and square, he received the medal he would have won in any case. Please G-d one day the world will realise the only type of fighting which is worth doing is that in a ring, judged by proffessional referrees. Mr Haimovitz, your country is proud of you, well done.
6. Excellence, Friendship, Respect: Olympic's Spirit
Ruth ,   Singapore   (08.17.10)
the raw, pure, genuine unadulterated Spirit of Olympic (lacking in past Olympic games) that IOC wants to bring out in Youth Olympic can be sum up in Excellence, Friendship, Respect. One must Excel with honour (fairness), friend even your "enemies" with genuine love (leaves politic out), respect with grace and humility (because we are all HUMAN, made in G-D's image sharing the planet earth.) Iran lost in fairness in excel, chose whom he friend, respect not even the Spirit of YOG, simply like unto animal fighting for territories. Gili,& all Israeli athletics , i will be cheering for you, beside cheering for my Singapore. shalom!
7. sportive Iran
rosa van der wieken ,   amsterdam netherland   (08.19.10)
And the real reason may be that they anticipate loosing from an Israeli or a jew which is not compatible with the picture they draw of the invincible muslim.
8. While you lose in sport, you embarrass yourself at the UN
(09.24.10)
The Iranian cowards run away from competition on the mat, and their monkey president shows the world what a racist and hateful imbecile he is at the UN, while the remaining civilized countries leave the assembly in sign of protest and disgust. Not bad for a one day's work, eh Persians?
9. Bad show, Persia
Cameron ,   USA   (02.28.11)
You slipped out the back door like a woman. Where is your honor?
10. Re #4: I am ashamed to admit how
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (02.28.11)
surprised I was at reading this comment but wish to say that I did not write such a rejoinder to "world world" but whoever did write it, in my name no less, copied my style exactly and, frankly, was far more convincing than I, myself, could have been. Congratulations to my ghostwriter! If you'd like to come clean and announce yourself to me (privately, of course), through an email, naturally, I would consider hiring you to do ghost editing for me and at a very substantial fee. Please consider my offer.
