I was planning on joining Ben-Gurion University soon. But after reading all this and seeing how non-diverse the University is, I think I will go elsewhere to get an even and balanced education.

Does "academic freedom" include the right to call for the denial of academic freedom for your colleagues? No. Because that's simply Stalinism in the guise of academia. Academics do not have any "right" to demand that academic freedom for an entire country be denied. There is no "freedom" involved in silencing academic freedom. Any professor who calls for an academic boycott of Israel is telling the world that they do not support academic freedom and they demand that the academic freedom of themselves and their colleagues be cancelled.
