As a Conservative US Jew (both parents and sets of grandparents were Jewish) whose family was fortunate to immigrate to the USA in the early 1920s ( no member was killed during the Holocaust), I am shocked, dismayed and terribly aggravated at this groups hatred for Israel, Zionism and everything our people have fought for since 1945. I would say that this is essentially separating themselves from the Jewish people, becoming a sect no longer belonging within Judaism. That's my opinion. There have been other sects in the long history of Judaism, they all eventually became extinct while some, such as Christianity, evolved into totally different religions.
