ghostq   (08.22.10)
live in Israel, but I wish they were. wow they r not even welcomed by their own people, no wonder.
32. To 30 Thinkagain . Read my 21
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.22.10)
Being nice to some others is not related to their views . In Poland during the Shoa , Zegota had helped to save thousands of children . Their founders were antisemites ....
33. To the Palestinians
Israeli   (08.22.10)
Zionism is Jewish self-determination and has little to do with relgion. It is about our nation returning and remaining safe because of 2000 years of abuse and killing by the non-Jew. It is not something we can "talked out of". It does not mean we cannot find a way to share the land and live together as equals. Speak to Israelis and you will understand better.
34. to the Apikores Satmar
Golan ,   modiin   (08.22.10)
Judah the Maccabee was a Zionist. He fought against the Emprie that controlled the land of Israel and gathered Jews outside Jewish liberated territory and brought them to Zion. The Ramban said " I live in the furthest west and my heart is in the east" he also said that a Jew should live in Israel Rambam came to Israel Rashi came to Israel Rabi Akiva, Rabi Judah, Rabi Shimon, and rabi Hillel all lived in the land of Israel. King David spoke Hebrew. Shammai spoke Hebrew, Judah the maccabee spoke Hebrew, even when they bought fish. Yiddish is German, Ladino is Spanish, when king Saul ordered David killed he did it in Hebrew. The Torah begins and ends with the Jews' coming and settling the land of Israel. The most important books of the Tanakh after the chumash is about he took, settled, and lived in this land. So if you are referring to another Toroh as your kind usually do I must come to the conclusion that your religion is anything but Judaism. Even the reform Jews eventually saw that Zionism was right. So did Rabbi Kalisher, ect. And lastly you mentioned the messiah. In the Talmud Hillel says its Hezekiya. Another rabbi said it is Yoash. Go learn. As for the three oaths, they were never made, they do not obligate me, and even if they did once after the crusades and Islamic massacres and the holocaust they are no longer relevant.
35. To#32Charles
(08.22.10)
We should hold responsable the persons who wrote the article and not a whole group, which consist of good people. If we had done that with hitler and his alikes, there would be no shoa.Germans are not worse than todays antisemites, and there were, as you said ,some good germans. We have to eliminate evil at it s root.We should also focuse on our real ennemies, and try to stay united."L union fait la force"(unity=strong)
36. #35 is from thinkagain

Joshua ,   usa   (08.22.10)
I am shocked and saddened by these absurd views regarding the state of is rael. The Torah states that one must accept the view of the majority regarding matters of halacha (majoriy of Torah scholars that is). In this generation, the clear majority of Torah scholarship supports the existence (despite its imperfections) of the state of Israel and sees in it the footsteps of Moshiach. Fringe groups like this and their failure to respect the majority of halachic authority causes the greatest damage to Jews, Judaism, and in my view prevemts moshiach more than anything. These people outght to be ashamed of themselves.
38. just who is this rabbi
chaim ,   pembroke pines fl   (08.22.10)
I happen to know this individual very personally, he is my first cousin once removed. I cannot but consider him an ungrateful fool, if not for my mother who supplied him with food that she literally took out of her children’s mouths, including my self when we were in the Bergen Belzen concentration camps. This uninformed fool who stinks (not a misspelling error) he has God ear would never have been born. Be more concerned with providing true leadership such the most important basic law of Judaism, which is unify the Jewish nation trough love and caring one for another, and then there is no power on earth that can detrimentally effect the Jewish nation, instead of creating a division amongst the various thoughts prevailing in any society you will show that you know the basic truth of Jewish law. By proclaiming that no person who subscribes to the Zionistic philosophy is prohibited from joining you in prayer, just shows how unknowledgeable you are in basic Jewish law. The synagogue that you pray in was built not from your own personal pocket but from the community as a whole, by your declaration as to who is allowed to pray in that edifice or is to be shunned, according to Jewish law prohibits any and all other persons from praying in that building, as God proclaims, my house of worship is a place that all people from all nations are welcome to pray in. My cousin, do not decend into issues of menutia, look for better issues to concentrate on, that the community is in need of, not a philosophy from a person who has passed on.
39. No. 23 Sean
NYC Girl   (08.22.10)
Well, then, if you love this particular sect of Hasidim so much, then you must be a reactionary religious fanatic... because that's exactly what they are. Not only that, but it would appear your antipathy toward Israel is so intense that you would prefer to identify with people whose hyper-religiosity is nothing short of sickening, as opposed to a country with liberal democratic values where the majority of people are secular. I guess we know what that makes you.
40. I dont respond to Charles

41. #37 That is a blatent and costly to the Jews lie
Josh   (08.22.10)
"Torah states that one must accept the view of the majority regarding matters of halacha " It does no such thing and worse this is the logic of the egel zahav and the sinners. Proof again where the makers of such things want our protection from G-d t be. Wide open to attack from vile nations and it happens without end. Choose death and we just repeat history. That's the way it has always been? Well no wonder history is as it is. Choose life is doing Torah not what we think is ok based on lame excuses and twisted interpretations that allows cults to rule us as slaves. One that forces us to swallow down lies of leaders who never mention real Torah anymore. The words of Moshe and G-d appear invisible. We only get posturing statements about the collection but never the words of true Torah. Brainwash. Like the snake in Gan Eden, just hearing what one finds convienient. Do what one is told by G-d via Moshe not what the masses desire and one might achieve choose-life and a connection in this lifetime to a true blessing. Not rewards from a cult that took everything away from us and handed it back like some hero figure. Those rewards are from stealing Torah with such mad unfounded and illegal additions to Torah laws.
42. Satmar Forbidden To Live In Israel
Martin Turetsky ,   Woodmere, NY   (08.22.10)
This is a good first start. Maybe the rest of the anti-Zionist hasidim will also decide to leave. So far all they seem to do is sponge off others. I say good riddance.
43. Some of these Jewish sects more dangerous than PA
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (08.22.10)
My great uncle use to said that Religion was Israel's greatest strength and greatest threat.
44. correction of #35
thinkagain ,   jerusalem   (08.22.10)
By rereading#35,i am afraid, one could conclude that i compare the leaders from satmar with hitler. This is NOT the case.
45. Its great to be a martyr of protexia?
Josh   (08.22.10)
People like this make protexia work as a grinder against the nation and the people for power (held by ten families) to manipulate "atitudes" (mind control). Let me step into the machine or be pushed by lower level shadowmen and gring away before G-d, country, and the world. If a cry could be heard in Sodom which is the lowest place on earth, it can be heard from the heights I will scream it. Stop this cultic oppression.
46. UKFI SHE HOTZI ET ATZMO MIN HA KLAL...
Ariel ,   Sao Paulo Brazil   (08.22.10)
KAFAR BAIKAR. If you do not want to leave among us , and not receive favous from the sionists, please move from Israel , because there everything *exept air is provides by them.
47. Satmar
Ger ,   Raanana, Israel`   (08.22.10)
Now it's official---all of you Satmar followers can leave Israel. Please follow the instructions in the pamphlet, and the sooner the better.
48. Leftists invasion
James ,   uk   (08.22.10)
when does free speech insults? i think they are insulting all the children of israel who have given up their lives in the service of establishing God's chosen nation on earth, from the time of Jushua through King David to modern Israel. My guess is that these people are leftists who delegitimize the state of Israel. They seek to achieve their goal by creating false religious arguments to counter the biblical basis of the existence of the state of Israel.
49. so why don't the satmers all leave israel?
yourjewishnews.com ,   brooklyn ny   (08.22.10)
they live in israel and say it is forbidden
50. When can we celebrate the Exodus of the Satmar?
Nick ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (08.22.10)
Perhaps they will take up residence in Palestine, Texas.
51. 45 , only FAKES are "oppressed"
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.22.10)
The "poor" fake guy complain's that he is oppressed . Of course , cross adorers who pretend to be Jewish , we don't like them . You can "cry me a river" .
52. deviant form of Judaism
David ,   Lakewood< Nj   (08.22.10)
Opinions as articulated in article would strongly suggest that this is just another deviant form of Judaism which after some time will not even be considered as Jewish in the same way Christianity started out as a extreme sect of Judaism. Time will tell. It is very convenient that this sect preaches that they may not live in Israel. I do not think that most Jews would benefit from their presence spiritually or economically in Israel. I only wish they would preach that they are forbidden to live in USA as well. :-)
53. 44 , you may compare !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.22.10)
antisemites and and Israelis are the same . One difference , those satmars don't want to murder us , but would like that this was done by other of our enemies .
54. hatred begets hatred
tom ,   toronto, canada   (08.22.10)
judging from the talkbacks here, it is clear that hatred begets hatred. a "pamphlet" can only present a very limited overview, and the rebbe is no longer alive to defend his views, or even to explain their context, but on the surface, these views reflect an unbelievable arrogance (abraham and moses didn't dare to criticize the jewish people in this way), and an attack on 2,000 years of torah. (starting with a negation of piquah nefesh and lashon hara.) and the comparison to pinhas is most instructive, since even moses did not dare to sanction the killing of another jew, and pinhas' judgement had to come from god - a lesson the rebbe (or his editors) overlooked. whether these "answers" truly reflect the views of the rebbe, the fact that they were published in such a form would seem to indicate that there are elements in the szatmar community with great hatred in their hearts toward fellow jews. it is no wonder that our sages wrote that "mahloqet" and "sin'at hinam" destroyed the first and second temple - let's stop it before it destroys the third.
55. Their choice
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.22.10)

This Bunch Of Nutcases Are Good Material for the Monty Python Team.
57. Keep speaking yiddish and living as a shadow to the nations
Yaaqove ,   NY USA   (08.22.10)
Are you a light unto the nations O satmar? Do you try to heal the world, cure its disease, provide it bread, irrigation systems? Are you perfect that every single thought you have is perfect, have you not erred, sinned? Get off your high horse. Here is news for you the Torah speaks, largely in metaphors. The Messiah is alluded to in metaphor. Stop taking everything so literally 100% of the time. You dont acknowledge the rational side of your experience in life. God gave you a rational brain to use sometimes. Use it or be cattle for hitler to stuff into gas chambers....
58. Will Hasidic community repudiate these people?
Steve   (08.22.10)
After 9/11, US President George W. Bush assured the American people these jihad terrorists were "traitors to their faith, trying in effect to hijack Islam itself," etc. Many of those who studied Islam were not convinced by Bush's assurances. Neither are many Muslims certain Osama bin Laden's Islam is not pure Islam. Will the Hasidic community repudiate and cut off all association with Satmar Jews? I do not want to believe Satmar beliefs and views represent pure Hasidism. Do they?
59. Satmar
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.22.10)
What proof do the satmars have ? that Rabbi Teitelbaum, the enemy of a Jewish state was right ,and Rabbi Kook the supporter of a Jewish state was wrong,Rabbi Teitelbaum is not different from the fanatic Avdul Wahab,The saudi Muslim in the 18 century, who opposed everything secular, and declared total war against the infidels, Alkeda was founded on his teachings,(Wahabism is the official religion in Saudi Arabia,The satmars are in good company),Do the satmar know anything about Jewish history ?,The Jewish exiles in Babylonia were permitted by God to return to Zion and reestablish a Jewish state, while life in Babylonia for the Jews was quite good, judging by the people who did return to Zion, who were mostly the poor, the lower class, why would God oppose a Jewish state ? after the destruction of hundreds of Jewish communities in Franco-Germany during the crusades, after the expulsions of the Jews from England,Spain, after the pogroms by Bogdan Chamilnitski in poland in 1648,after the pogroms in Russia in the 18-19-20th century ,and after the extermination of the Jews of Europe by the Germans ,does that make any sense ?, Rabbi Teitelbaum was saved from the gas chambers by a Zionist ,named DR Israel Kaszner.Advise to the satmars,if you wish that your grand children not marry none Jews hurry to Israel, because the strong currents of assimilation will sweap you away whether you like it or not.
60.  The proof
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.22.10)
