31. Stealing is always wrong
Huldah ,   Notts, UK   (08.19.10)
Oskar's comments about 'booty' belong to the 17th Century, not thee 20th. Thank heavens most commenters on this thread reacognise that. There was no excuse. The IDF have made that clear. Good for them and good for the Israeli free press which carries this story so prominently. Israel's democratic nature and values are a key reason why it's still a shining example in a region where despotism, chaotic government and oppression of women and minorities are still the norm. I hope this unpleasant event is sorted out quickly and efficiently.
32. TO ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU
Huldah ,   Notts, UK   (08.19.10)
You want to look at your own country's human rights record before sounding off against Israel, Atilla. Persecution of minorities, suppression of human rights, exposure of the Armenian Genocide punishable by law and now chemical weapons used against the Kurds. As we say in England, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!"
33. See 28
Paul Fuhrmann ,   Brisbane Australia   (08.19.10)
See 28 that is so true .The Russians took all the clapped out machinery out of Germany after ww2 and then the Germans build themselves nice new ones and the Russians have the worn out stuff.

South Africa is a safe country. We just hosted the Fifa soccer world cup and I as a South African did hear of any killings and stealing. You people come to our beautiful country and make non sense.
35. nothing new

Ladri, ladrones, thieves not really concerned with reinforcing the current bad reputation of their country. Very shameful! I see that as treason. Also hope the italian journalist whose credit card was used for purchases was reimbursed by the israeli government with an apology.

Turkish soldiers routinely sell jewellery, watches and even historical artifacts that they steal and looted from Kurdish men, women and homes that they birn down in the open markets and to tourists in Ankara. Attila should know about this but he has his Islamic blinkers on. The Tutkish police, the generals and the politicians don't give a rat's a$$ about it.
37. turkish dilemma - like a lost soul in "time warp"
abraham ben jacob ,   canada   (08.31.10)
Turkey is floundering between the 20th century and the 12 th century. Turkey is trapped in a " time warp" and no turks have have been able to correct this sad situation. Atilla is locked out of realityand is hopeless. I wish good luck to turkey, as it stands between the crossroads of modern civilization and the undeniable urge for a return towards the dark middle ages.
38. Turkey's lost soul
abraham ben jacob ,   canada   (08.31.10)
Atilla is an example of the Turkish hopelessness. This Turk and many others turn towards hatred to fill the void in their soul, but sink deeper into the abyss. It is an abyss of their own making. Just look at Erdogan and attilla--- they are two desparate and lost Turks.
